Having trouble beating Gasha-Dokuro, the boss of the mission, The Source of Evil? Follow this guide and it should be a pretty easy battle! PS4 Pro Nioh
This boss, killed my focus, couldn't play for a while because it kept killing me over and over, I'm going to try again with this vid the only annoying things is I can run past all the demons that will be in the area to get to the crystals so it will be more difficult 😤😤
You completely mislead so many people into a way that's a bit harder. Those golden thing will give you amrita charge(Living weapon). Therefore you have infinite living weapon standing in it. If you cannot kill the boss after you take out the first leg, you are suppose to stand around in those golden shroud to charge your living weapon back up, then you can do it again with another leg while using living weapon. I killed the boss with only lv 94 character with this method. If anyone still cannot do it after taking out 2 legs. DO NOT TRY TO HIT THE HAND. Just simply charge your living weapon back up to full, then run to the top, stand inside the shroud and spam your triangle+circle living weapon toward the boss' head. You will have nearly infinite living weapon while standing inside the golden shroud, so just keep shooting your spirit with living weapon into boss' head.

I figured out an easier way; you just keep summoning the phoenix on his head. I had like 6 of the summoning talisman things and had the phoenix guardian on me, so i just beat the boss on one turn spamming the phoenix (or you can just transform and summon the phoenix continuously).
Thanks for the strategy! I didn't even know his head dropped, was just sitting around at his legs all the time wondering how to damage him after I killed off his feet. Killed it on the 5th attempt!
I found it very easy just to stay on top, where he will lay down his head. Just below, there's a platform with 2 circles where he will try to crush me with his hands, this is easily dodgable. And you can stay in LW forever and get his ki down pretty fast by smashing on his hands. Once ki is low, just go up one level and smash on his head. Takes 2 loops with Kara Jishi. I'm fighting Ishida Mitsunari at the moment, and I found the source of evil is the easiest level with by far the easiest bossfight (but the level is great for farming both amrita and elixirs, using Suzaku and staying LW constantly)

Easiest boss yet. The glowing circles from converted crystals continually recharges your living weapon, active or not. Even if you leave a circle and it expires, it'll be ready again in like 30 seconds. Once you convert all 3 crystals you can farm this level so easily using your LW endlessly.
Not sure if iy was the spirit i was using but i just hit on a major way to beat this guy. When you activate living weapon as long as you stay in the buffing circles your Guardian spirit regens faster than it depletes,meaning you can stay in living weapon form forever. You need to watch out and evade those blue ki attack balls he spits as they can take chunks out of living weapon. I was using Suzaku (pheonix) spirit in case it was that making a difference.
After purifying all the crystal, u can activate living weapon and stand on the circle on the floor. LW wont run out as the buff from the circle grants u amrita to regenerate LW. It takes two runs to take down this boss. Capitalise the buff from the yellow circle*** Cheers!
Sorry but which platform do you have to be for his hands to come down? He kept just either shooting those blue orbs or use his breath weapon while I'm on the upper platform...

Using Dual-Swords with Water Sword II make quick work of the boss once you have taken out a limb. With a decent pair of Dual-Swords you'll be able to empty all your Ki in to Water Sword and rapidly attack for modest damage, I think I did around 200-300 range with each hit when I did the boss.
Zhyrez Yeah nice start. Dual swords shine with a good elemental buff! Also if you can sloth on the skeleton its head will stay down longer for even more punishment!
The first half of him (you're right, I can't kill him with just the feet drops) is easy enough, but I can not for the life of me get him to do the slam attack in his second stage. He spins, almost endlessly, and then freaks out and just spits balls of light at me or everywhere, and apparently brushing by his hand while he's doing this instantly kills me too. I can't get a slam attack to take him down again. :/
This boss is so annoying. He's so huge you can't see him properly, wide ass range unblockable swipe attack, multiple hit points you got to cut off and as if it wasn't hard enough the devs decided to put some Skelton assholes and floating flaming anuses below him just to annoy you further 😂
yea its a waste of time going for his hands, right when it was almost depleted he takes it back up in the air and you never see that hand again. really random attacks too, its like you have a 50% chance of getting hit anyway.
I'm under leveled somehow eventhough I do all the side quests so I had to take out both arms and both feet. Kinda helps to work at both hands first then feet. Even easier if you get partial damage on both hands so when you take out one the second is easier but thata preference
i'm actually trying to do a different thing, you said you where a bit to overgeared for this boss right now. The thing i'm trying (almost succeeded) is to wittle down both feet till they are couple hit away from being destroyed. Then i move to the hands wittle and destroy one. Move to head and bash his face in. Move back to the other hand and back to head. If he is still alive then i go for the feet one by one.
Stevelord666 I really enjoyed the mission. The biggest thing was the revanants self raising. I saw a youtube take out the boss with none of the crystals done. looked painful.

I'm late, but for anyone else having trouble with the spin attack: it's based on your distance to the boss. If you're far away from it and in the upper areas, he'll throw magic at you and swipe with his arms, if you're in close range near his legs, he'll use a couple of stomp attacks, but if you're in the middle range between those, he'll spam the spin attack. So just either stay very close to his legs, or in the upper areas far away from him, never in-between.
just managed to defeat this giant boss fond a sword kusanagi tsurugi purple with a+ to attack spirit and status cure with purfect ki pulse is this normal or did i really luck out?
i just did this boss without destroying the crystals i used duel-sword and use lightning talisman he take a ton of lightning dmg and then you can spam that slicing skill(forgot name but we all know what it is when we talk on the duel swords) and took most of he's hp on first legg and w/e left after second legg but yeah would be alote more easyer if i knew how to purifiy thoes red crystalls lol
Cannot pass this boss level 150 still can't beat him. I take the foot out but when I try to run up the cliff my ki runs out and I just stand there for a good 30 seconds
You should beat him the second time he is down because after the second time you CANNOT down him anymore because you cant lock on his foots ( the amrita on the foots will be gone to damage him ) Take out the skeletons that spawn in before you down him the second time, because they can shoot trough his head and break your combos. Also, make sure to have your LW ready for the second time. Because if you cant beat him the second time you can just attack his middle area or head wich is nearly impossible wich forces you to restart or shoot at him.
im having so much trouble with this guy. He wont slam his hands down. A few of the times he did they were off the cliff like he slammed then on air so I couldnt get to them to attack. Its frustrating me... actually infuriating me thats a better word lol.
Sam Wilson for him to slam his hand down you have to be on the second tier of the walkways. if you are too far down or too far up he will just keep swiping at you. From the platform where you attack his head. go down one level and wait for him to strike.

@@jqmez here's the thing Nioh isn't hard. It's either too easy or tedious to the point of discouraging the player to explore. Another reason nioh is not hard is becauae levels are small and are single directional. So if you get sick of dying just run along the main path to get to the next shrine. Unlike in bloodborne, sekiro, dark souls.. the dread does not come from being Lost, but rather from knowing literally everything can one shot you.
Absolutely trash tuto you didn't show half of the attacks this boss has, "when he lifts his foot leave" ok and for the 3 others attacks he can do when you're near his feet ?
This game has some very cool bosses but this is not one of them.

Ahhh yeah I didn't think of that. Also there are some talismans which give you Amrita and fill your Living weapn bar too.

that move works insanely good on so many enemies. I wouldnt be surprised if they nerf it with a patch.

Damn you got lucky, it didn't constantly spam you with 4 small yokai from the start. The inconsistency of this game is off the charts.

Beat him at level 87 killed him first time he fell down just use duel katanas there easily the best

This is one of the easiest boss in my opinoin. I used kushi and reaper both of his head and leg
I killed him without stabbing the crystals lol but after that it was a nice grind level
I beat him in less time that you did, and I only had to take out the legs
I despise this game so much.
