@@BradsC1A1 My highest respect for serving your country 🙂 Local gym is amazing too! I love to train in both local or big gyms 🙂 Do you live in Thailand with your family?
Also, well put together video…as soon as I clicked it I couldn’t get off. This definitely makes me want to train there. I greatly appreciate you recording the process, very transparent and easy to follow along with you though the clips. 👍🏿💕🤝🏿
I haven't trained in Kamala itself, but there is Kamala Muay Thai or Bang Tao Muay Thai is not too far from Kamala and when you get a chance to go there I know it will be worth it!
With a Grab (App like Uber), they have public taxis at the Aiport but they often charge more than Grab or IDriver. The price for a Grab should be between 700-800 THB which is around 20 USD. There are as well busses they are pretty cheap (150 THB), but they don't drop you off at a bus stop and not directly at the street. I hope that helps :-)
It's hype, most other Thai gyms are just as good and some are better, I have trained at many gyms across Thailand, went to Tiger in 2012 first time then 5 years later. It's a great experience if you want to do a pilgrimage to the most famous gym, a lot going on apart from muay thai as well, cafe, fitness classes, BJJ etc. but it's just too big these days I think. Depends on what you're after as well, are you a pro fighter or a beginner. Edit: Now I've actually watch the video..great video! Looks like you had a good time, I also enjoyed watching you train
You describe it very well, and I agree if you want to be in a popular busy place you can go to train at Tiger Muay Thai and be in the mix. If you want a more authentic family vibe type of gym you pick a smaller gym off the street. I personally only trained 3 times at Tiger, and it was better than I expected, but I prefer smaller gyms :-) Thanks for watching! Do you have any plans to head back to go back to Thailand?
I heard about that the classes are not good the trainers are unmotivated is this true? They say only private lessons are great. And how long I should book if iam a beginner 1 or 3 months?
I hear that too, but I can't agree with trainers not being good or unmotivated. My husband trained at Tiger a couple of months, and he had a great relationship with the coaches, pushing him moving from the intermediate into the advanced class. I was actually surprised myself when I went to a couple of classes, trainers were entertaining and very supportive. One time I ask one of the trainers to show me a technique after the class, and he helped me for 5 minutes after class to improve. The thing is that trainers are changing by the times, but I believe when you are proactive and open-minded they are very nice, and you have the opportunity to meet a lot of people and fighters at Tiger Muay Thai. Actually, for private sessions I can recommend Dragon Muay Thai. If you have the opportunity to do 3 months I would go for it. You will improve a lot! And you could maybe try each month a different gym. I can recommend you to have a look into Apollo Gym ruclips.net/video/EPFmsoiIWvg/видео.html
@@PrepAFIm not sure if they teach Muay boran, yes you need to know it’s a big gym which is always busy. But I was surprised by the training it was better than I expected.
Problem with Tiger is people like you, never trained a day in there life and Google a camp and go to Tiger aka the first one they see and then spend all there time filming themselves.
I lived for two years in Thailand and worked as a manager in a beachfront resort with work visa and everything. Actually I didn’t go to Tiger in the beginning because I had judgements about it. I started training at a small local gym. I love to record myself training not only for RUclips but to see my progress. What’s your favorite gym in Thailand? Please let us know maybe others can benefit from this.

It’s probably the only real dream I’ve ever had.

Yes, definitely I was surprised it was really good for a Beginner like me! I thought it would be more commercial than it actually was 😎
Absolutely I loved training as a Beginner at Tiger Muay Thai I was surprised 🥊
we really need to stop these clickbait titles; we would watch the video anyway and still keep our integrity
Thanks for the feedback, I actually changed the title 🙏🏾

Tiger Muay Thai is overrated.

For who? I'm looking for a good gym to train muay boran and muay thai. Tiger looks about right. What's your meaning?
