It's not bad for the meguiar's soft rim product and in the hot rims range !. I measured a ph of 8 on the aluminum wheel cleaner. All wheel & tire cleaner and much more alkaline, and chrome wheel cleaner much more acidic.
Mine was no where near this bad but it worked really good I was surprised how well it did but it worked better on the outside of the wheel with a softer brush less scratches over all but the inside a hard Bristle bruh works better great review brotha!

Soaking the rim in half vinegar and half water for about 8 days (give or take) will remove all rust easily. Don't soak the tire with it though.
Napa aluminum cleaner spray cleans them in 30_40 seconds completely clean
I literally just got done using this on a set of Pro Comp Extreme Polished Alloy rims that haven't seen very many miles, and it is 100% hot garbage.
Is this product meant for alloy rims?
NAPA Wheel Brightener is the best product out there but always be careful what you use on rims with a clear coat finish.

Another way to do it is put easy oven off pro on the wheel. Let it sit for 2 minutes, then remove.

I use Chemical Guys Decon cleaner and it worked pretty well on my Matte black wheels. Still struggling with a little bit of corrosion
