Tonight, I binge-watched all three parts. You made it feel so personal and real, and you have incredible talent! I live in London and would love to join you on one of your adventures!
Thank you for this film, I had so much fun watching it. I can easily imagine the hours spent filming it but by the looks of it you spent many hours editing and creating it and that is more difficult to imagine for me. Congrats !!
Just watched all 3 parts in one sitting, what an epic journey in more ways than one. Brilliantly put together, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Stevie. I just watched the whole lot. I put a Mirror dinghy in at Teddington and sailed down the river and round to Essex. Camped first night just below Tower Bridge by tying up to some barges. PLA did come and have a chat - but weren't any problems. The currents were serious. And I stopped and rested when the tide was against.
Just watched the three films, and I can really feel your pain at the time, as a kid trying to impress girls I popped wheelie on my Raleigh Striker and slide of the back and landed on a drain and either cracked my Coxis or broken something as I could sit down even on a sofa. it was about 6 weeks or so before the pain fully subsided, Just like ribs there is nothing that they can do, when you break or crack them. Done that too. What an epic journey. Well done for completing it with the additional hampering of your injury.
Agreed with the last few comments. Really interesting and a route I may have to try although not the wild camping on my own 🤣🤣thanks mate what an awesome little series 👍
what a great video, lay in bed watching all 3 episodes, such a tranquil journey. One day when I have more time on my hands I'm gunna do a trip like this around the coast of Ireland, stopping off and camping up on the beach.
Bloody well done mate! Watched all three. I completely understand your reasons for doing it, and you didn’t shy away from a warts and all presentation. Bravo! Subscribed.
A great video Stevie, I have only just discovered your channel this week but I'll definitely keep watching, great content Just down to earth and straightforward, keep up the great work 😊 👍
Nice footage. Come by Putney Bridge Canoe Club Stevie - we regularly paddle between Chiswick and Battersea/Chelsea - and occasionally beyond - but you do need to follow the PLA rules in this part of the river - as you say, with the tides and all the traffic it can be quite complicated.
Superb set of films, deserving of many more views. Full of admiration for your pluck after your Day 1 fall on your coccyx. Thank you for putting it all together so well too.
you should feel good about yourself stevie because that was a magnificent adventure i have enjoyed every second of it and you are full of modest enthusiasm, i lived in putney for 20 years and often paddled in my inflatable to richmond and up to the houses of parliament it is a beautiful river anyway thank you so much for sharing stevie and keep doing what you are doing cheers
Amazing video, amazing how far you got on kayak. The currents get horrible in the central Thames, wouldn't be pleasant to go much further than you did.
What a great conclusion to an epic adventure that you can be rightly proud of. Wonderful footage throughout and lovely, down-to-earth commentary. Congratulations Stevie.
So pleasant to take a trip down your river. It's cold, dark, and wet here in the Pacific Northwest right now, so thank you for bringing a sweet summertime England to video-life! Well done!
Brilliant thanks for sharing 👍 I have been taking notes throughout your vids and am planning to attempt the trip in March thanks to your Inspiration thanks again
Really felt like i was along with you mate. What i great achievement yo have under your belt. Makes me want to do it. Im investing in a Canadian canoe next year.
G and I really enjoyed that. Looks like you had a great adventure. The video is really well done. Hope you’re having a good time on the Wey this weekend. Looking forward to watching the next film
What an epic journey. Love the way the scenery changes throughout, looks like you (mostly) had the most amazing weather too. I really need to get out and see some of these places on the water.
Thoroughly, absolutely, honestly enjoyable to watch. I'm getting all these ideas from people on you tube, but I don't know whether to hike, cycle or kayak now??? Thx
@@StevieWyatt I've actually considered it. I'm currently getting in to bikepacking and would love to do the Thames route. But paddling it has to be the best
Hi Stevie, I discovered your channel a few days ago as I’m thinking of getting an Itiwit X100… and have now just binged all 3 Thames videos… superb stuff, excellently filmed and presented! Certainly felt your pain when you landed on your coccyx 😮 Keep up the good work!
Amazing work Stevie, and you’re right to feel proud! I was also wondering how much wine you took on board so I’m pleased you answered that in part 2 :-)
Certainly was an achievement. Would love to do this trip. Your footage, editing and narration was top notch and highly enjoyable. Wish my videos were this good. Subbed Atb Graeme
Bravo mate! Thanks for taking us all along. [if you like this you will also love Jon Poulter here on YT - another humble, adventurous person making crafted content but not out to be a TV Personality]
Yes, you have to be licenced on the non tidal thames or the lock keepers won't let you through. I have a British Canoeing annual 'On The Water' licence. You don't need a licence on the tidal part of the river though, below Teddington lock
Hi Steve I have just watched this series again for the third time, epic little jaunt 😊, Ive just recently got myself a sib and am planning a trip up the Thames this year, if you have some spare time I’d love to get some advice from You as part of my prep, you can reach out to me here via my channel or via Facebook and messenger 🙏🏽 Regards Tony
Sounds like alcohol is too much part of your life. I used strategy games like blitzkrieg 2 and watching podcasts to fight depression and anxiety. It was fairly easy and fairly effective. Top tip: get your alternatives in place first. Don't cut the alcohol down for the first year at least. Get a bit comfortable in life. None of my business obviously!
Tonight, I binge-watched all three parts. You made it feel so personal and real, and you have incredible talent! I live in London and would love to join you on one of your adventures!
Lovely! Could watch a lot more trips like that! I like the filming, cutting, commentary and personal side of it!
Thanks so much 🙏 I'm planning on doing more films like this in 2023

Thanks so much, I'd love to! The tidal Thames gave me a real respect and appreciation of the sheer power of the river
Superb set of films, deserving of many more views. Full of admiration for your pluck after your Day 1 fall on your coccyx. Thank you for putting it all together so well too.

Great series Stevie! I hope the anxiety has worked itself out 👍🏼🍻
Thanks Baz, nothing helps my anxiety more than getting out and paddling!

Great videos and fabulous achievement to make it to the end!
Thanks Al, thanks so much for watching
Got onto you after watching your X500 review (I'll be getting one now 👍) I cant say it better than Mike. Well done, keep the videos coming.
Thanks so much David
Good vids Steve . I come from Richmond and your so right not to go further it gets really hairy ha ha.
Thanks for watching Leslie. Yeah I find the mud and the tide below Richmond lock a bit too sketchy for my liking, especially solo!
Well done Steve what a great adventure, its made me want to buy a kayak
Thanks very much Paul, go for it!
Brilliant thanks for sharing 👍 I have been taking notes throughout your vids and am planning to attempt the trip in March thanks to your Inspiration thanks again
Thanks so much James, and good luck with it. It's a wonderful experience the Thames 🛶
Wow what a journey, well done
Just watched this trio! Loved it! Reeeaaly good! 👍
Thanks so much Darren 🙏
... try the River Derwent in Kent next. It has shoots for kayaks at the locks - so no need to portage.
Thanks David, I'll check out the Derwent, always looking for new routes to explore
Love these. Super record of something that is always changing. Thank you.
Thank you so much :)
Thanks
Thank you so much 🙏

Thanks so much, I'm planning on doing the Lea soon if you fancy joining me on the SUP
brilliant trip i may do this adventure in the summer
Highly recommended, was an amazing experience
Great journey, too bad about your back.
You should definitely see if you can find fellow kayakers to redo it and kayak the last part too.
Thanks. Yes I'd love to do the tidal section in a kayak, that's for a future video hopefully :)
Excelente! Uplifting videos Stevie, congrats.
Thanks, thanks for watching :)
Loved the videos. Would like to do it myself. Don't know about the tarp and hammock though - would need my tent.
Thanks! Yeah, tarp and hammock isn't for everyone!
What an epic journey. Love the way the scenery changes throughout, looks like you (mostly) had the most amazing weather too. I really need to get out and see some of these places on the water.
Yeah I was mostly lucky with the weather. I drop-pinned all the best locations so lots to go and explore :)
Stunning video, so interesting! Very very concerned when you hurt your back, but you carried on like a true hero!❤️
Thanks :)
Well done mate. Great achievement. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thanks so much James 🙏
Thanks for sharing your journey. It was a pleasure to watch. Well done.
