Tekken 8 - Steve Fox Wall Game, Heat & Okizeme GUIDE
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 июл 2024
- Hello guvgang, this is a tutorial/guide I made on how to make the most out of Steve's wall game, as well as how to utilize his Heat both in and out of walls, and his okizeme both with or without heat.
I hope you find this useful; and most of all, I hope you enjoy!
Correction: I have made an error regarding the frame data and the available moves you can do from the side and back throw. I have pinned the correct answer at the top of the comments section.

Just wanted to add a few things about the shove.
You can actually wall splat after the shove into a sidewall by using manual pkb into f1+2, which should be 13 frames with the transition
Then with the back shove, you can get up to +17 which guarantees b2, which guarantees another ipkb f1+2 for a wall splat with massive damage.
Thank you for this! It seems I missed out on some stuff during my research.
Pkb f1+2 is a super tight link, or im missing an obvious cue when to do it. I cant do it consistently at all so i abandoned the idea.
@@VDViktor It works from side shove most consistently. You get different frames based on the situation. If you want it to work with the front shove you need to be at a specific distance not too close to the wall.
@@soulxcvShinblade has a wall shove video and he can get like 100 DMG off of shove alone. It's crazy.
The better I get at Steve, the more I realize I have a lot to learn. Thank you for these videos!
Always welcome friend! I also find out about new things when I work on and research for a new vid
we are so blessed
The use of actual in game matches as examples makes this video so top tier.
I'm glad you like it!
I try spamming my points as much in-game when I draft a video so I can have examples. The Hwoarang one I treasure a lot 😄
Wow, thanks for the video and the mention at the start mate, you're helping a brand new generation of steve playes and even sharpening some old ones, your vids make the difference!
It was a very good idea from you, and I learned a lot more about the character as I went on doing my research!
Maybe this new info will help me break purple ranks lol thank you
Nice sett cosplay on steve, goddamn
League is probably where most of us Steve's get our iron will and patience put to the test. 😂
These steve guides are a godsend. I’m making a playlist of em all so I can remember and learn everything. Thank you so much for these. The Guv Gang appreciates your efforts
Welcome friend!
I know im a little late but you can get a great wallsplat combo from backturnt lean throw. If you do the full 180 throw in to the wall, you get a guaranteed b2 in to pkb f1+2. Great for wall exploding combos for like 114 damage
Yes, that was an oversight on my part and I will do better in the future! 😄
Great guide! But just wanted to point out that you can get at least 23f (you can test with uf+4) from all directions depending on the push distance. Side switch is always at least +23 so 3,1,1, becomes a easy wall splat without having to gauge distance. This has been a thing for many Tekkens.
I did not know this, thank you so much for the info!
the heat oki is a blessing its getting harder for me to find things to improve on without labbing but my oki pressure is trash, i will be using these tips a LOT thank you!
Got the game a few days ago and started playing steve thanks for the guides it's helping :) I still get bodied online but the more I lose the more I learn so it doesn't bother me, I hope I'm as good as you one day
Hey I'm glad to hear that! 😀
Just take the game at your own pace and celebrate all your small Ws. Cheers!
Came to learn something new and I'm glad I allready knew all of this 😊 thx for the content
This is the bomb. Thank you very much for this. It's gonna help a lot of players
Hey thanks a lot!
This is a top tier guide. Thank you.
Amazing video man, thank you for all the tips.
Much much appreciated ❤
Another dope guide !! Appreciate this so much!
This is so helpful. Please make more Steve guides.
The correct wall splat for wall push 12f and up is PAB f1+2. Especially if you don't want to spend heat activation
Correct, I missed it when I was doing my research 😅
Thats correct, but its also frame perfect, and if you are in heat and mess up you get heat smash, there is significant risk there
@@lostmnt heat smash isn't unsafe, and it definitely doable in real matches.
@@xer05tar I mean spending all heat as the risk, his heat is pretty good
@@lostmnt thats relative to the situation and the player being able to manage meter.
HELL YEAH, I've been looking for ways to get my wall game up, this is perfect!
Awesome video man! Keep it up!
DAAAMN what a guide holy moly
Thanks fam!
Amazing video as always, I really admire how you play Steve, and love how you make your videos fr!
Thank you for the kind words friend!
Amazing guide
Steve is so goddamn sick man i really gotta just commit to learning him without getting salty and swapping to my main just to get some wins lol.
insane video man, thanks a lot!
Great steve guide about to add these moves to my arsenal
LH is definitely stronger at the wall with shove. Hopefully they buff it so it's useful in the open too, considering the moves that force you into it.
steve is too goot, amazing video
Thank you
If your back is to the wall, Two-Faced 2 grab wallsplats for 60dmg
Good video
If you're good with your execution, I think you can do ipkb f1+2 after back shove for a 13 frame wallsplat instead of b12 or 22.
you’ve honestly helped me get to purple 3. you and PhiDx are sensei
PhiDX is my idol too, I've learned so much from him and his drills
@@soulxcvdo you stream or upload your matches elsewhere? it’d be useful for a lot of steve players to study
@@paulwilliams6304 I only put them here for now. Tbh the best players to watch gameplay footage from are Shinblade, Buppamen and Heera.
I on the other hand, just love making guides on my favorite character 😁
nice
great guide as always. easy to understand and straight to the point 👌. keep it up...and i wanna ask you, any plan for doing live stream Tekken 8?
Thanks friend! As of right now I have no plans, cuz I mainly love making guides and sometimes just showing off cool moments I get. I'll be terrible in a stream environment 😅
@@soulxcv ouh it's okay. the reason why i asking you that, it's because your Steve is damn good 😂. anyway any plans for doing some max damage combo guide from every Steve launcher?
Nice video thank you help a lot of steve who begin the character. I wanted to start him since tekken 7 but is difficulty is insanely high. Now i do my best with your tips videos, and it work! Just a last thing side sway throw give +17 or +18, you have b2, ipkb f1+2 for wall splat and have insane 107 damage wall combo. For the back sway throw ipkb f1+2 for wall splat. Shinblade made a video about this. Also we can cancel lionheart by peekaboo by pressing f3~3+4 so you can have Monster peekaboo offense or you can win against armor midscreen. Another frame traps at the wall is ub2 pkb f1+2 , the f1+2 is litteraly ininterruptible. If he don't press let make it hurt with peekaboo pressure!!
Thank you for the correction! I missed it when I was researching on the lab. Now I know
tbh Tekken 8 Steve is way harder in a sense, you gotta work more to win with him now.
@@hiraprxc You gotta work more because almost everyone else has to work less. I think Zafina, Brian, Asuka and Zafina REALLY need to put in the gamer lean in compared to something like Azucena, for example.
I think b2 is also guarenteed if yoy throw them 180
Question about the back shove. I tested on my own and it’s not showing the frames. It considered qcf 1 a natural combo. Are the frames different depending on how far you are from the wall? It misses rarely but the fact that it’s missing means I’m missin something.
I actually made a mistake in this segment because I missed it during my research. I have the correct one pinned in the comments section. Apologies!
@@soulxcv oh thank you! Made passed purple watching a past vid of yours and deeper into blue with this one. Didn’t even know I could shove to either side lol. Keep pioneering 👍
Do any move regain heat for Steve?
Nope, if anything I feel like his drains a little too much
Is this video valid even after patch?
Still does!
@@soulxcv Hell yeah brother 😈
Anyone else having the issue that heat mode pbk f1+2 often ends in heat smash? Any solution besides "learn your fkn timing?" 😂
I have the same issue as well! You have to make sure you have 3+4 let go and THEN press the 1+2. I still have misinputs till now tho lol
u need to be using the peekaboo f1+2 not rocket launcher
I have made a mistake on the shove frame data cuz it didn't show in-game how much you get, and I missed it during my research. I pinned the correct info in the comments. Apologies for this!
This isnt entirely true. The side-throw gives +14 always but can leave up to +16. And a back-throw to the wall ALWAYS gives QCF1 guaranted.
Yes, I realized my mistake right after. I didn't find this out when I was doing my research.
I have added a footnote in the description and pinned the first commenter that gave the correct notes so there is visibility. Thanks!
@@soulxcv Alright cool. Keep up the good work. :)
Soul, youre literally my only steve teacher. Yet youre lower rank than me, how come? Hit some ranked matches homie, come on 😂
Ranked makes my blood boil fr😂
Also I'm a scrub that just likes making guides haha!
Yeah, i noticed that too, homie skiping grind days for sure
@@soulxcv i know the feels. Quickmatches : Claudio, Paul. Ranked : Ling,Dragunov,Ling,Dragunov xD
Thanks for the guide. My current Steve game is pretty weak since it just consists of poking my opponent to death, fishing for CHs, and abusing their inability to break throws, but now I have a clear goal to shoot for.
Aww yeah! Cheers fam
Little addition. when you are in heat. and you land a LionHeart guardbreak, you can go for 112 f3/4 (duck), you are +8, you can Ch them with 1 or f2 options (safe on block) or hold f3/4 to get extended duck so you can do the throw 50/50 (Saves heat from Super duck) or still go for the before mentioned options
Thanks for this, I will try to add it to my play and learn from it!
