Is it just me, or is there a reason why the bag it is packed in... doesn't double duty as luggage to fit on the trolly? I mean, that seems so blindingly OBVIOUS, there must be a good reason why it doesn't?
I just got a travoy for xmas & have no need for golf clubs but see more shopping & camping trips coming my way with it in 2014. I may not need to repair my Bike Friday trailer now. Ho, ho, ho!
@@Guigui_82 It is still in good shape except for a little wear from tires rubbing shopping bag. Set up to be shared with two bikes and used occasionally but I could use it more often if needed.
Great video. I'm surprised supermarkets allow people to shop in the manner illustrated. Pretty sure if I tried in my local Aldi I'd be sternly told to leave the Burley outside and use one of their own trolleys or baskets.
I was thinking exactly the same, but here in Brazil (at least in my hometown), your mileage may vary, as some supermarkets couldn't bat an eyelid about it while at others, overzealous security staff might make a fuss on account of it looking different -hence suspicious in their minds.
Our local ALDI’s ( Northern Illinois ) give you their empty cardboard boxes to use them as shopping baskets and you can take those boxes at home after you’ve paid for your groceries, because ALDI doesn’t provide plastic bags for their customers. Which is great for the environment. Long story short, they will be simply happy if you will use your shopping “cart”.
The Travoy has a load capacity of sixty pounds, so if your golf clubs don't weigh more than that, it should be no problem. To see how to attach a bag of golf clubs to the Travoy, please watch the video titled: Travoy Instructions (also posted by Burly Design). There is a golf bag attached to the Travoy at the end of that video. Hopes this helps!
We have renting city bikes in the city I currently live (Guadalajara, Mexico). I wish this didn't require tools to be attached/detacched to a bike. The base requires to be attached with tools, as shown on 1:45 .
@@effyleven It has four of the needed clips. If you want to modify other bags, these might help. www.burley.com/product/travoy-universal-bag-clip/. Mine are still on order and I think they may be discontinued.
I see a RED Bike Friday! haha! Yes, love the travoy. I have one. But the Burley Honey Bee is OH SO amazing too, we use that way more often. We sold a bunch of other bike accesories but the travoy and the honey bee we will never sell. Also, adding a Bike Friday to the garage, can't wait! with Burley and Bike Friday, we can accomplish a lot in life! Those travoy bags look really handy! I'm looking for them now, can I get them thru amazon?
It's great to hear that you're enjoying your Travoy and Honey Bee! Yes, the Travoy Upper an dLower Market Bags can be found on Amazon or on our website at: www.burley.com/product-category/bike-cargo-accessories/?filter_accessory-compat-product=travoy
Hello, thank you for your question. We currently do not have an alternate kickstand option available for the Travoy trailer. Please feel free to each out if you have any additional questions. - The Burley Team
Almost convinced to buy, but as a mixed 🇬🇧UK transport commuter, how does one EASILY get on & off a train and up & down a flight of stairs;- (not all stations have lifts you know and those that do don't always fit race bikes);- to the opposite platform, if you're carrying a bike? I see the potential to add back-straps on the carrier. Then I would consider buying one!! Anyone care to comment? Those clever people at Burley perhaps?! :)
Burley are you listening .. YOU should make a backpack version that also fits on the bike or functions as a backpack with comfortabel straps and padding !!!!!! thank me later ok ..
just remember max speed using this with bike, ebike is 15 miles an hour on smooth road and 5 miles when turning! price is $249 to $300 well over priced see the sepnine commuiter trailer trolly like this one for $145.00 Walmart and Amazon not so over priced I could buy a Sondor ebike for the price of this trolly!
I love mine. It's fantastic! I use it as a luggage cart on train trips, and as a grocery shopping cart, as well.

I have (the old version) of a travoy for a couple of years now and I just love it! I have a folding bike and it works so nicely with it.
the 2020 version is soooo much nicer, thanks for the "old" version video, 2013 was like the the "other" life 😁
I’m a bicycle commuter to work, who’s looking for grocery shopping trailer. It will be Burley for sure, just need to decide between Nomad and Travoy.

Do you still use and enjoy your Travoy in 2020 ? Is it still in good condition?

I assume Aldi in Germany 🤔 never had a problem using my own trolley bag .

Can you use it as a hiking trailer??? With a harness...
Will this clear my bike rack mounted to my seat post?
Does the tote bag it comes in, subsequently fit onto the the erected trolley...
... so as to act as luggage when in use?
You can use the top loader bag that holds the folded trailer as a cargo bag when the trailer is assembled.
@@pedestrianfare8175 Thanks for the info. 'Preciate it.

For couriers I see this amazing for that.
Could you possible put or attach a 3rd wheel instead of just the stand pole thing?
