Thank you Dave for a nice ride around your city. Doing it early meant less people on the screen, but the sun was low in some places as you mentioned. Still this movie gives a good idea about how your town is like and I find it charming! I can also imagine the fun you had as kids in those military bunkers. When I was a kid I used to play in old bunkers from the war, but sadly they have been removed today. So looking forward to your 2024 edition of Townsend and all the sights and places to visit and eat:) All the best, Ant
Well this was just wonderful. I loved the way you combined the driving film, the stills and the walking videos - plus a great time to film at Sunrise when no one else is around. Best time of the day. Ha roundabouts - they appeared when you were away. We have roundabouts for fun around here. Our nearest city has hundreds and hundreds!! You live in a fascinating place Dave - loved the stories of when you were a kid - the bunkers and the bubbles in the fountain 😃😃 The deer are amazing - reminds us of a village we stayed at in Scotland where the Red Deer eat all the flowers from the gardens! A beautiful film on a beautiful day of a beautiful place!! The views across the bay are gorgeous - it must have been an amazing place to grow up. Love the photos at the end 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for touring us in your hometown great place very peaceful,, so cute bear is that old building?, great beach, great sound of wave, I enjoyed watching your video, happy weeked
Like 14 👍 Greetings from Naples, Florida. That was an awesome tour of your hometown. Love the lighthouse. Great views, thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend. 💯
Dave, you came very close to the corner of "Fir and U" street, close to Fort Warden. My late wife, Theresa Miller, was raised mostly by her grandma, Doris Heitz...the home was right on the corner. My wife graduated from the local High School (Jefferson?) in 1969...she then quickly moved to Seattle, got a job, and just happened to live in the apartment above me, when I moved in below, in 1971...I knew the moment I saw her, that we would be getting close!...We married in 1972, and had 40 good years together, had two kids, etc. Her grandma Doris, was well-known in Port Townsend, as she was a very active, quite pretty older woman, who managed the local swimming pool at the Jr. High, where naturally my future wife was a life guard as a teenager! Grandma lived to be 101 years old, and outlived her husband by 35 years! Her husband, Joe Heitz, worked at Fort Warden for years, as a guardian/counselor to wayward youths, who used to be housed on a part of the Fort Warden complex. My wife and I visited her grannie several times a year, for many years. We did not do the "tourist circuit" that you show off so well, but we did take many walks through Fort Warden, being young and romantic! We lived in Seattle for many years, and moved to Everett when our two boys got to be school age. Your excellent video has made me very nostalgic, and also very grateful for those solid times I had with my pretty, small-town wife, and our life together, raising the kids, living a smaller version of the "American Dream". Grandma was such a good cook, that we never tried out the restaurants that you mentioned! Those pancakes looked so awesome, I gained a couple lbs just looking at them!..at age 77 now, and your video really made me appreciate how my life flowed so well for me...Thank you sir!
Wonderful city to live in Dave Port Townsend has some great historical buildings Love the small town feel right on the coast. Charming Like 38 and cheers to you

Hi Dave, now I have fully watched and enjoyed your beautiful hometown, Port Townsend! I feel always comfortable and peaceful when I see your place because there are many historical buildings and nice restaurants and kind neighbor deer families! 😁👍👍👍 The giant whale bones are awesome, and Bell Tower and Clock Tower are unique to me! Just took a virtual journey through Dave's hometown, Port Townsend, and I must say, it's an enchanting place! 🏡🌅 The historic buildings and Victorian homes give the town a unique charm, and those bakery treats looked absolutely mouthwatering. 🍪🍰 The sunset views were a real treat, and I can sense the nostalgic vibe of those military bunkers. Exploring this town virtually with you was like a mini getaway. Can't wait for your 2024 update! Keep capturing the beauty, Dave! 🌟👏

If you can afford it, it’s a quiet peaceful and very friendly little coastal town. Lots of activities, numerous festivals, beaches, close to the national forest for camping, hiking and boating. We went to the Shanghai yesterday per your recommendation and loved it. 🙌 Great Chinese food. And to the Rose Theater. My only complaint was the town was much too crowded for us. Back home to Poulsbo we go.
Thanks so much for watching! I’m glad you liked the Shanghai😃👍 Come on back to PT after tourist season passes. It makes for a more pleasant visit without the traffic and hordes of people. No problem getting a camping spot or a nice water view motel for a weekend stay.
