Smt are identify with pairs that correlate no pairs that move on opposite directions. In general you try to short the contract that looks weaker and dont taje the high but sometimes the FVG is clear on the contract that take the high
lmao finaly some that knows how to trade it and for the record I don't know why ppl trade SMT and only look at ES and NQ you can clearly be missing SMT setups off YM but there is a another step to this which I think ICT fails to mention because there can be double SMTs and not just any SMT setup work but like you hinted "draw on liquidity" and what does ICT consider DOL ? well bingo, you should be looking at pre-session/day/week high and low and you can also include raids too.

Yes, only difference is that futures charts are CFD's so they won't have gaps.
