- 1983 Hurst Olds with LS3 transplant 554.8 hp at crank,408rwhp.4L70E trans with 2800 stall,Ford 9" -3.70 trac loc rear end.
This is car #354 of 3001,with rare sand drift grey interior,there were no other options on this olds.
We just posted a short video at the 2017 LS Fest, just completed a full adjustable coil over front and rear suspension with QA1, Global West, and Hotchkis components.

Flat out gorgeous car. Doesn't matter what else is driving down the road... this Hurst will steal all the stares. The car demands to be seen. Need video of it rolling down the street... post now! :-)

That is a thing of beauty! Spectacular is all I can say, I bet it turns heads everywhere it goes. I love me some G bodies that's for sure, I have an 86' GN I'm going to get started on in the near future.
I remember when my dad had a Gold 83 cutlas and my mom had a baby blue 86 cutlas, there's nothing like that V8 rumble that put me to sleep as a kid. Even if it was factory stock haha.
I had 7 of them In the mid to late 90s miss everyone of them

At the 2017 LS Fest in Bowling Green Ky. We did 7 passes with street tires.I targeted the 14 sec. bracket.We ran the car in True Street Class........Since I have never drag raced I wanted to take it easy for my first time and get to know the car.So after 4 test passes the competition was on.1st pass was 13.886, 2nd pass 13.831, and 14.098.When you add up the times and divide by 3 that's how the track determines your time.....I broke out of the 14 second bracket by.062 of a second too fast.Winning time that day for the 14 sec. bracket was 14.222

DARK BLUE WITH A MEDIUM BLUE CLOTH INTERIOR .

That is so cool. Looks like new. The ultimate sleeper. I've had a 86 Olds 442 since 1996. Stuck with the traditional '68 Olds 350/turbo 350 trans. It's great that these cars already have a decent rear axle. The 8.5" 10 bolt like the Grand national. This car isnt putting doe 555 Hp but stilll manages 12.60s with slicks and open headers. Have you had your Hurst Olds to the track ?
There is a short clip of it at Blowling Green LS fest two years ago.Only had it down the track one event.(7 passes). Most anything you google....LS3 Hurst or LS3 Hurst Olds will be this car.

Awesome car, any detail on what it took to do the LS swap?
We just added another video of the LS3 Hurst at Beach Bend Drag Way. We were bracket racing with street tires. I'm sure to do better in the future with some drag radials.
the 307 is not a bad grocery getter motor but man that ls is a best one day I hope to do a ls swap on my 85 white 442

Hi i was wondering what brackets you were using for your front accessory drive? What mounts and headers did you use as well? That car is BEAUTIFUL by the way
+Chevyfanaddict427 -Thanks for the comment.Headers were custom built by Wegner Motorsports as well as the front engine accessory drive.Going to install complete front end kit this week,A arms,springs,shocks etc.

Are the lightning rods still in it? And if so how hard was it to adapt them to the LS and 4l70
Hello,yes the lightning rods are in it.Just had to fab a bracket for the mounting of them.They work as they should.

+Anubitipo -Yes lightning rods are installed and working,Since everything is now new (ECM/TCM)-we had to change out the dash cluster.We went with Dakota Digital.
Did you use your orginal shift cable for the 4l60?
How much did it cost you to put that motor in.
What starter ya usin..heat sheild ?
+Tjfreak Starter is GM. as the motor was out of my 2010 Camaro SS.No heat shield.
Us that a stock 307 idle or has it been modified?

We used a 4L70E transmission and the lightning rods work with light fabrication

Was the 9" rear swap extremely complex?
No,because we bought a rear end from Quick Performance with mounting locations for a G-Body,but now we did a double adjustable coil over- QA1,Global West boxed upper and lower control arms and Hotchkis rear sway bar.

Oh, this could be so sleeper with an Olds 440 small block dropped in with a built 200r4 behind it. Great build still though, I would have preferred to keep it all Oldsmobile though.

Had a brand new 1983 H/O, was a very pretty car, but the engine and trans was trouble. Kept braking down. Car looked showroom New when I traded it in 4 years later.
These cars have real nice lines (my opinion)but alot of people like them.

Sorry to hear about your dad. You must have fond memories. It was quite a project when we first started, but now there are many more parts being made to upgrade the GBodies. Good luck with the car!

I have,and its a nice start,just gets down to how far some one is willing to go with a build.Our Hurst is an ever evolving project.Would love to twin turbo or super charge it.
