For a reminder,this is not Omaha beach,this is Utah.Everyone keep saying this is doesn't looks like Omaha,well it's not.
Most likely because if the casual player hears about D-Day its automatically D-Day Normandy 1944 and automatically Omaha. I guess most of them never heard about Utha, Gold,Juno and Sword.

There's a scene in Band of Brothers, after Easy Co. takes out the guns at Brecourt Manor, Winter's CO says, "Nice job on those 88s" but ignores him when Winters says, "Actually, they were 105s". Seems like Periscope Games ignored him too.

Because there were 88s there, the ones Dick found were 105s but not all guns at utah
I heard somewhere that the Flak 88 was so played up in wartime propaganda for the US forces that the misidentification of them was fairly common. I think it was from a time ghost video or the tank museum.
Eric Segraves so basically the 88 was to artillery guns like the Tiger is to tanks? Not as numerous as stated but so widely infamous it was commonly misidentified?

i just had a round as Wehrmacht, we mowed down everybody in the first like 5-6 landing crafts, they captured the beach only like 1 minute before the timer went out, they had no chance the first 15 minutes

Confirmed. That MG is Vade. More clearly when Karmakut died at 6:00.

In case you’re curious this is Utah beach. Omaha is the more famous one as OG was the most difficult to take thanks to its bunkers, increase artillery support and natural defences. It was the American landing point. The other beaches were Gold, Juno and Sword which were handled by the British and Canadians.

This doesn't, to me at least, look like Omaha Beach. Looks like Utah which had less resistance but still enough so its interchangeable really but would be rather quick without pillboxes.

Umm, am I confused or is the beach “upside down”?
When attacking the beach from west to east, shouldn’t left be north and south be to the right? It seems it is reversed in the map?
UPDATE: I was confused and didn't know the area well enough. The map is accurate.
I noticed that too, and the sunlight was coming from the wrong direction as well. Judging by the sunlight they would have been attacking at like 8-9 PM, when the actual attack happened at like 6Am.
Not Utah beach it was east to west north being right and south left

You would think that the beaches had been surrounded with anti-personnel mines?
Utah had no Anti personnel mines on the beaches in real life.
12th infantry regiment encountered S-mines on Utah. A raiding party landed 2 hours prior at Iles Saint-Marcouf which was fairly close to Utah beach also encountered anti-personnel mines.
Rommel who was in charge of setting up defenses had also ordered anti-personnel mines be placed along the Atlantic wall, it would be odd for Utah beach to be specially excluded without any real reason.

The thing is you want this game, when you watch this cool gameplay but when you play yourself it looks not that amazing, even if you try to communicate with teammates but it's 1 of 7 games when cool stuff really happens. So if you want to buy game, you better to have some friends to play with)

My Saving Private Ryan moment on this map was I was Platoon commander behind the ridge on the beach, I asked the radio man to meet up with me, he gets next to me and as I'm calling in support *artillery and smoke* he gets shot in the face 😂😂😂 before I could finish. Best moment ever

How are you marking as squad lead without pulling up the Wheel? I'm always getting thrown into the squad lead pos (ppl dont like the role for some reason) and if I could figure out how to place markers without wheel that would save so much time.

Think I might pick this game up. I'm enjoying the hell of HLL right now with its gore and armour gameplay, but I have no problem picking up another quality WW2 game. I hope the comms are at least half as decent as they appear in the video.

Hey Karma. Updated membership from Priv to Serg. Been waiting for this Big PS Update. Haven't gone on and DL'd this last update. Time to get serious with this game it looks fantastic and looks like they delivered. For the update in membership I'm hoping I can Join on these missions. Great vid. Really impressed with this game now. Not sure if they added any other features.

I would say get both. Currently PS has more content. HLL is still getting more content so someday it'll be on par with PS. Both are great. PS it's a little bit more "slow" (Squad style) but very intense at the same time, so it's up to you.

I realized while watching this that there don't seem to be any games like this with the Soviets. The closest I can think of would be Red Orchestra, but I think that's to far from this.
Hell Let Loose is working on the Eastern Front, I can't wait!
