I think minish cap doesn’t actually need a remaster, it’s got the best 2d style in the series imo. I’d be devastated if they remade it with the LA 3D style because it would lose that charm that all of the sprites had in the OG release.
They need to port it in a collection or something of gba zelda games. (nso doesn't count, I want a physical copy)
Idk. In my mind a remaster doesn’t simply just mean graphical changes. I think minish cap could use some touches. Some tweaks to the figurines and keystones. Remember the game being kinda short too. Maybe add in a bonus dungeon.
Also, just to be that guy lol. Best 2d style? Sorry but original link’s awakening/ oracle games > link to the past > link between Worlds, New link’s awakening > four swords/ minish cap > phantom hourglass/ spirit tracks.

All I want from a Minish Cap remake or remaster, is 4 face button support to hold more than 2 items at a time. It’s a pain to go back to those older games and have to open the menu to swap items every 2 minutes.
Zelda 1, Zelda 2, Link to the Past remakes in 2.5D like awakening remake.

I think a newer 2d Zelda makes sense than another remake. We already had a newer 2d Mario game a year earlier.
Especially if the Switch successor is backwards compatible.
Dude, this is just some vague prediction with little to no evidence. Sure it could happen, but title your video something like "my prediction for the nintendo direct" instead of clickbaiting and acting as if there is any real evidence for this.
Some good points made here. A new 2D Zelda or remake of a classic like Link Between Worlds or the Oracle games would be a great way to see off the year. Especially if we get a few other treats like Metroid Prime 2/3. I hope Prime 4 is for Switch 2 but I still

If there is a remake I hope we get a remake of A Link To The Past that includes a remaster of A Link Between Worlds. I want A Link To The Past to get remade as in front of the ground up.
Nintendo stated that they plan on having a Zelda game every year. But I'm sure they are planning on a MP4 reveal, for they stated a switch release

i doubt it.. a feel they r saving a new 2D Zelda for Switch 2 and need more power for a more ambitous game. Link's Awakening HD was good but the game had framerate issues...
if anything i think oot remake would be saved for switch 2
2D games aren’t very demanding nor harder to program in comparison to 3D. Besides, ocarina of time is getting a proper remake for switch 2 and rather have it that way.
@@therealjaystone2344 i know but for whatever reason Link's Awakening HD had a lot of slow down.. its a great remake with a beautiful artsytle, improved lighting and it has that toy like sheen to things and it didnt seem over demanding, but when you walk out of houses in Mabe Village, it slows down, the swamp area is almost unplayable and it even slows down in dungeons... i usually don't complain about frame rate but it was quite distracting in Link's Awakening HD on Switch...
I hate to burst bubbles, but some games specifically don't appear on NSO because there are remakes in the works, like Mario vs. Donkey Kong or Super Mario RPG. So Minish Cap, and the Oracle games are highly unlikely because they were released relatively recently.

@thatnintendoquality I still think a modern Zelda 1 remake with updated graphics, more in-game guides and updated text, and more modernized gameplay would be such a banger. I feel Zelda 1 is too cryptic and hard to play on your own with no help, but it has some truly awesome early open world exploration and adventuring spirit, not unlike BOTW or TOTK.
And regarding towards this years holiday title i also DONT see a brand new Zelda title to be this years Holiday title since its made for only Teens and young adults, but a remake is more likely and it wont be releasing one either October, November or December, But early next year BEFORE the next Gen console is revealed.
A newer 2d Zelda is a kid friendly genre than 3d Zelda and it can be launched for this holiday season if Nintendo wants to get closer to their 13m switches by the end of fiscal year

Awesome! Will buy new Zelda game for sure. Just a wish Nintendo, like the tradition company they are... Have Link be LEFT hand mainly ( would wish there was an option to select dominant hand ) in upcoming, more adult graphical and aesthetical titles, like BotW, TotK etc. Wii was understandable a business move to make Link a right hander. But with Switch. NOT an excuse anymore. Also for the upcoming movie. Have Link be acted by a left handed due or at least one who is ambihanded/ dextrous.
We don't know anything about the next Direct. Stop believing rumours. Stop making hacky clickbait videos.
Oracle of Ages/Seasons needs a Switch Remaster while back then the Game boy color games HAD a 3rd ORACLE game it never got released/Made but COULD if Switch versions of Ages/Seasons WERE to be ported over.
If they do release a 2d Zelda game, I’d prefer a new one over any remakes. I mostly hoping that they remake wind waker and twilight Princess though.
They've done enough remakes at this point. Just make new 2d Zelda games and port the 4 remaining 3d Zelda games to Switch and that would be perfect.

I think we in for a did year in gaming no one is doing anything grand Nintendo does a little better because of their focus on single player titles but all are guilty for trying to chase the live service trend to hard and now they backpedalling because realise that not what gamers want and that why we have no new games
I reeeeaaaaaallly don't want a top-down 2D remake. I'd vastly prefer a new entry in the series. I don't think any of the 2D entries are outdated gameplay-wise and while the pixel art on some of the Gameboy games is a bit dated they still have pretty solid artistic direction. I'd much rather see them take advantage of what they have from the development of Link's Awakening HD and give us an actually new experience.

The only 2d Zelda worth remaking is Link to the Past. Otherwise they should just make a new title. The gameplay of oracle, minish cap and pretty much every Zelda title that doesn’t have a remake, really haven’t aged great in terms of gameplay.

Not gonna happen. The Switch was already done. But due to reasons they had to delay the next Console. So i doubt there will be a new Zelda Game. Maybe a Port but nothing completely new

The main issue on your video is that Super Mario RPG is a REMAKE and its NOT made by Nintendo which is why it doesnt count as a Holiday title, but Super Mario Bros Wonder is a BRAND NEW GAME MADE BY NINTENDO and it the ONLY Holiday title on that year.
PLEASE BE ORACLES REMAKES!

I’d love a “free form” 2D _Zelda_ game… like with top-down or 3/4 view, but the map isn’t based entirely on a square grid, you know?
failing that, how about just some remakes of the _Oracle_ games, or _Minish Cap,_ in an HD pixel art style, like _Octopath Traveler_ a such? I thought the _Link’s Awakening_ remake was pretty great, but the rigid adherence to the grid of the original, and the weird shiny toy art style weren’t my favorite…
I haven’t watched the video yet. If there is 2d Zelda game I hope it’s an original game not a remake, as there hasn’t been an original 2d Zelda since the multiplayer focused triforce heroes which released in 2015 and there hasn’t been single player focused 2d Zelda game since a link between worlds back in 2013.
I would love the oracle games, the minish cap is also good but feels a little short , I think a 2D Zelda with some stardew valley like mechanics going on would be pretty awesome

With a new system around the corner, I think the most we can expect this year is either the fabled Wii U ports or a new remaster, but not a completely new game.
It’s probably going to be an Oracle of Ages/Season remaster all in one. Most likely a platinum/emerald situation where all the content is one game. Plus it’s the same era as Links Awakening I feel like it’d be the easiest to make and pretty needed too. Minish Cap needs a sequel imo. The title still holds up today.
It would be great to have the Oracle games remade and bundled on one cart

I think 2D Zelda would come out on the next Switch. I think the current holiday lineup will be Zelda WW & TP, Metroid Prime 2 & 3, a Mario sports/party game, DQ 3 Remake, FFVII Remake and Xenoblade Warrriors
No way in hell FF7 remake can play on Switch. Unless they do it like FFXV mobile where the character are 64bit polygon blocks and it plays like Minecraft.

While I believe a new 2d Zelda will make a comeback like 2d Mario and 2d Metroid could make a comeback. And there's nothing really solid suggesting 2d Zelda is dead. I have trouble trusting any new game will be announced. If they were going to do that they would've. Also they used 2d Mario as a launch game for the Wii U and it wasn't a Graphical showcase either.
Back when Nintendo realized that 2d games aren’t what the consumer’s want in the early days of the console (Mario 3d world too because that was just nsmb but in 3d)

Link's Awakening: reveal in February, release in September
Triforce Heroes: reveal in June, released October
ALBW: Reveal in April, release in November
So it's not out of the question if a 2D Zelda releases in November. I guess it depends on whether the successor to the switch is backwards compatible. If it is, the game can still be selling years down the line.

I hope you are right. The problem with predictions is that lots of things make sense that never happen. If I had it my way, there would be at least three top-down Zelda games at the Direct. Two would be remakes, one would be a new title. And we would also get a bundle of three 3D Zelda remakes. That's not going to happen, though.
that wouldnt make since tho, u gotta look at a business and dev side to, they need time to develop games and they need to pace them out so they get the most money wise out of them cuz they need to make money to

One thing we can rule out is a hyrule warriors game, as the recent Sony State of Play announced a new Dynasty Warriors
2025 title and deconfirmed a xenoblade warriors too since project legacy is a Nintendo published title for Monolithsoft

I couldn’t care less about a 2D Zelda game. I just want the two remasters from Wii U that haven’t been ported over to switch. It makes 0 sense why Wind Waker and Twilight Princess haven’t even been spoken about.
