Looks like you're riding that boost for dear life.
Saw your original video... it was life-changing and it lead me to buy my first bike. A Bandit 1200. Sorry but I opted for the low end grunt. :) And I
m going to do a high-comp piston swap soon too. Never enough low end!!

Hi Jacob, Yes. Boost is a lifechanger. ;) I haven't done any drag race runs for a while. Might go for stock wheelbase and see what comes out of it. The core issue (with running a long wheelbase), the setup needs a lockup clutch of some sort. Due to it's a wire clutch cable (instead of hydraulic), it's a very difficult and constly task. Good luck with your mods Jacob.

Hey there. Great run. My FZ1 is supercharged and I'd like some pointers as to what rpm you launched the FZ1 at. Maybe some setup advice

Hi Green Guy! The launch rpm is still to be tested. Next race I will use a launch control, both to build up boost an have a better control of the start rpm. It will be set at 6000 and adjusted from there. The clutch is stock with stronger springs. The front and rear is lowered. Stock rear chock, but it will need a modified version later on to have the level of the swing arm right.

@@fz1turbo434 oh man I wish I seen your reply to my comment. Just now seeing this as I came back to your videos to watch this awesome bike again and ask a question.
How did you do on your next drag race when using launch control?

@@rhetericalpha I'm so sorry for responding sooner. The launch control was to be hooked up with a sensor to the rear wheel (instead of clutch lever). However, I've not moved forward with that as the bike is retired from the race track (for the moment). But I'm convinced that's the best setup.

Hey there long time since we talked. How is the bike going?

Hi there! Yes, it’s been good. I’m giving some thought to improve the clutch, but nothing has materialized yet. I’m curious about your idea how the FZ1/R1 clutch construction could be improved.

@@fz1turbo434 thats good to hear the bike is still going strong. As far as clutch goes have you installed heavier springs already? Thats step one the next is to get in contact with Andreas Salvanos he can fabricate a lockup for you.
