I checked the wiki for recipes, starting from string.
Four string makes a wool block.
One log makes four planks, which make eight sticks.
One wool plus eight sticks makes a painting.
Put a painting on the back of the shooting hole, shoot the painting, it drops into an item and falls on the pressure plate.
Watching people do puzzles is frustrating bc if they get it before me I'm like "oohhhh, that makes sense, you smart" but if I figure it out first then I spend the rest of the time being like "you foolllll, how are you not seeing the thingggg, it's so obvious"

You could've arched the arrow from the other side to your left from where you were shooting, it was 1 block away from the pressure plate... but at an angle.
That wouldn't work. He was supposed to craft a painting and put it behind the half-slab opening. That way the arrow would bounce off the painting.

It was an innovative puzzle map. A few of these dynamics I haven't seen before in a map. It must have had some interesting commands running to get it all to work. #minecraftmaps

Where is troll craft
Final solution:
1 infinity bow, 20 arrows and a painting
1 wood and 4 strings were left in your inventory.
So you could combine 4 strings into a singular block of wool, then convert wood into planks, and finally into 8 sticks. 8 sticks around the piece of wool in the crafting window and VOILA - painting.
Then you just needed to place that painting at the back wall of that chamber and destroy it with your arrow shot. It would drop onto the pressure play.
Lol... I just noticed that EVERY SINGLE TIME that Jardon makes a bow, he says before hand that he doesn't know how to do it, and ends up doing it right.
Make a painting and put it on the iron block...

You needed to turn the wood into sticks and the string into wool and used those to craft a painting. Use that above the pressure plant then shoot the painting.
Those "doors" that weren't opening were probably just wallpaterns!
I know you need to make a painting and stuff BUT he COULD have crafted a fishing rod so there are multiple was to solve that one
