i hate washing my 4c hair there be hair in the shower and it makes me really uncomfortable even though thats my hair just shedding 😅

Ive been using something called a Tub Shroom that goes in the shower drain but it gets full so fast so i gotta empty it twice.

Shrinkage for 4C hair is real 🙄🙄. I have a big afro but the min I wash my hair it shrinks ugh-sigh. Don't get me started on the shedding 😐😐.

@@DaForgottenGentlemanfalse, they’re completely different. 4a is looser curls and 4c is way tighter, sometimes to the point it doesn’t necessarily curl. All 4c hair looks different too, density, porosity, etc plays a part

Wanted to ask, do you use shampoo first or conditioner? And if you use shampoo first, do you proceed to rinse it immediately or wait a bit then rinse and after that use conditioner? I've never actually known how to properly wash my hair.

How long do you usually keep your hair in this afro style? I moved into college around a month ago and have had my hair in two-strand twists for that entire time. I don't really know how to twist or braid hair, so I've been putting off the time to undo these twists, but they're starting to get dirty and lock a little. I want to keep my hair in an afro, but I don't know how long I have before I need to put it into another protective style. I also have decently long 4c hair.
It heavily depends on the products you use & your hair porosity!! Ideally if you use a good shampoo, moisturizer, and detangling brush, it should last about a week with proper protection. (Satin bonnet, satin scarf, etc) You would just wash, moisturize + detangle (detangle with conditioner before hand if you prefer) weekly. A basic shampoo I recommend is natures advantage aloe shampoo. And a moisturizer I recommend is crème of nature mango & shea leave in conditioner. Pink hair lotion is also a good, generic moisturizer. Hope this helps!!

I’m deep conditioning my shit right now. I started washing at like 6:50AM ish. It’s 9:09AM right now and I have to be somewhere at 10AM.

Just look at a hair texture graphs and see which one matches your hair texture
The products you should use depends on your porosity. If you didn’t know your porosity, it’s good to start with a water based leave in product or non oil heavy leave in product & an occlusive like hair grease or a hair serum after. Just make sure to use it on damp hair for proper absorption + a good detangling brush for the best results!

Is seems that you like claiming 4c hair just for views. The whole hair typing chart is bogus anyways, but if 4c is suppose to be the least curly hair out there, then you don’t have 4c hair. My Afro-Jamaican brother in-law does.
I put leave in conditioner in my hair and it looks similar to yours, though mine is slightly looser curls. Put the same thing in his hair, which is also low porosity like mine, and it basically does nothing. His hair isn’t curly at all.
😢 trying to wash my 4c hair is a pain hours after washing it my whole scalp gets dry idk why
if your scalp gets dry, follow the shampoo up with a hair mask or deep conditioner it helps. then condition hair not the scalp

@@shado_ow yea I had that problem too, dw it will get better once you have a good routine. try to limit shampooing to once a week or twice a week
along with deep conditioning + using a leave-in conditioner, consider changing ur Shampoo to one that's less stripping
