we don’t have the same celebrity culture in germany as in the us (in my experience), so its easier for german stars to keep their life private in comparison to hollywood actors who are being chased by paparazzi. tbh i don’t know if we have paparazzi in germany??

I started Dark 3 years ago with the thought of watching some bad german TV because I felt like it... and I got hooked by the very good production, story and atmosphere :)
I'd say that while its audience is definitely smaller than Stranger Things', it's much more engaged. Its fans are throwing theories at you left and right, because they're so amazed by the show and that speaks volumes about the quality of it and in my opinion is a lot more important than a sheer mass of people mindlessly watching.
Stranger things is the top show in netflix and it's nothing to compare though both shows are amazing on their Own. Stranger things are for Younger Viewers while Dark are for Adult Viewers. To be honest Strangers Things is my favourite show.

This is because of algorithms, people of the same interests will find each other. You see Dark fans everywhere online because you keep on clicking on Dark contents, same as your fellow Dark fans. I doubt it’s as popular as it seems in India irl
If relationship is Single, it generates curiosity amongst the opposite gender. Like, even if Lisa and Louis are a couple they will not go all out about it because that will influence their popularity. The more you are popular the more you get good roles.
Of course for each of the main characters that we are introduced to in the 1st season, the actors are phenomenal. I was brought to tears by so many of their portrayals, but ALL of the actors regardless of the generation of the character they portrayed, or the season, were amazing, as well as side characters, too. The whole show was an acting master-class. But MAJOR props to the casting dept too...not only for casting characters across generations and having it be seamless, but for finding who can break your heart without even saying a word. I could go on, but the entire show was a perfect storm of all the right creative elements converging at once. I like to think their future and past selves brought them all together 😁😁

I saw the photo and was like "no way HE is her husband" (because I love this actor), but from the butchered name I couldn't hear it. Anyways, that's not the husband but Jürgen Vogel.
My favorite character was always Claudia. But she wasn't played by some hot 20 something so you didn't bother with her? You did every main kid from season 1, but not Elizabeth. Guess you couldn't or didn't want to sexualize an 11 year old. Nice to know there are some standards pablum selling shows like yours won't cross.
