- Lim Sueng Tae aka Lin Sheng Tai decided to step into the cage after his Streetbeefs backyard debut. In this match, LST takes on a wrestler (David) that has about 10 kg (22 lbs) on him. Let's see if Lim can us his speed and footwork to counter the wrestler's grappling and size advantage. Shoutout the entire team behind Streetbeefs!

Thank you for sharing my fight!!😊
Wrestler would’ve gotten slammed in the first round if he didn’t grab onto the cage
I got so mad when I saw that lol
@@siennas254 Wow, i didn't even catch that. But seen it when I watched it again. @1:49 the wrestler guy grabbed the cage.
The wrestler was able to escape a few of the low kicks, blocked it once, and counter with a light front kick. He reversed the cage pinning and had a good take down.
The Korean was pretty quick and had a lot of stamina.
He even had enough time to brush his hair a number of times. 😂
brushing hair is kung fu trained
Throwing the dude against the cage was like out of a movie 😂
I think he might have originally trained at Myung Hyun Man's gym, he is on Myung's channel occasionally. They recently uploaded a vlog about this fight (no eng sub unfortunately), apparently Seungtae has been training in the US for about 2 months now, he's only 19 years old, and the wrestler was a step-in opponent as his original opponent was a no show. So extra props to the last minute change to a different opponent way bigger than him!
Great fight, tough kid and good calls on your part …
Thanks for the visit
3:31 oof that punch
Overhand right out of nowhere.
If he didn't grab the cage he gets slammed
Was thinking the youngster isn't committing to follow up on his light attacks but guess he was fishing for that counter hit at 3:30.
That kid might have a future. Needs to get in a real school and start his mma training.
future UFC champion
Does anyone know what martial arts the Korean kid practices besides “mma” because he has such a unique style.
Just kickboxing probably, a more bouncy one and some muay thai clinch basics. Kinda reminds me of this one Japanese dude, Taiki Naito
It reminds me of Peak-a-boo which has Karate concepts.
The wrestler grap the cage no no no lol 🤣🤣🤣
Very good match up.
His constant motion and being able to maintain such a distance works very well against a lower energy type of fighter, like it did here. I would venture to say that he may have more of a problem with someone that can match his intensity in movement though due to questionable defense. His movement kind of hides his lack of blocking and head movement. If he can improve those two areas and be able to maintain his high level of movement throughout a match, i believe he could be very successful.
I also worry about him being able to keep up that movement through an entire match. I wonder if his ability to maintain that level of movement will be sustainable as he ages.
Still a great showing. Good job to both fighters here.
I honestly thought he was being stupid with all the excessive movement and wasting energy but he apparently had tons to spare. I'm amazed by his ability to not just keep from getting overwhelmed but able to match the strength of a larger opponent with a grappling background
Amazing fight!!
Good Job!!
I can speak korean and from the videos i saw on Myung Hyung Man's channel -- Lim Seung Tae has a few fights under his belt already. Hes an amateur 19 year old trying to make it professional and came to streetbeefs to get some more experience with his own MMA coach (not MHM).
Myung hyung man came to visit the US and met this kid on a separate occasion (not 100% sure, i skimmed the videos a bit haha) so i dont think they are related or trained together besides the few times they met when he came to the US. From Hyung man's channel they did an extended interview after this fight and the kid had a clear broken bone on his right hand - hyung man said it probably was from the lack of proper taping. ruclips.net/video/QH6u1NligT8/видео.html (here is the timestamped video)
Hope he recovers well and keeps showing up to streetbeefs soon!
Thanks for the details!
@1:49 would have done major damage with that slam, but he ended up grabbing the cage.
Lim Sueng Tae's style reminds me a lot of of the way Dominick Cruz fought.
That's very interesting!
That ref should have stopped the fight as soon as the wrestler went down.
Damn good fight
Wrestler can take hits :O
Korean guy ..... waaw, epic end!
Seems like it comes from street fighting.
The style the guy uses is not given a name, but typically referred to as "Korean MMA" outside of South Korea. It's officially known as "Military Taekwondo" inside South Korea. The description isn't really accurate because in reality it's considered a "hybrid martial art", a pre-UFC term for early prototype MMA styles.
This style is South Korea's solution of creating an effective modern military combatives curriculum which combines WTF Taekwondo, modern MMA, military martial arts, and traditional Korean Martial arts.
If I can describe it in my own words, it's another variation of Hapkido, because it's a pre-UFC Korean MMA that mostly uses BASIC 1980s WTF TKD w/a few flashy finishing kicks from Tang Soo Do & Taekkyon. Add some western boxing and allow strikes to the head. For disarms and grappling defense... this style uses Daito-Ryu Aikijujutsu (taken from Choi Hapkido)
Kids got potential but he’ll be an adesanya at best
Who is this mysterious korean kid?
I hope he comments so we can pin his comment.
AIKIDO works, when he swung the wrestler onto the cage - circular thing. As he went in for the clinch the Korean guy put his hands on wrestler knee, it looked like a bjj thing either prevent a knee or prevent the clinch
That's what I thought too.
>Lim Sueng Tae aka Lin Sheng Tai
is he ethnically Chinese? I mean, most Korean names have hanzi translations, right?
I’m Korean
@@seungtea0910just curious why Jerry gave the Chinese pronunciation.
... and grappling comes from Judo
Smaller dude was better with balance and wrestling and everything really.
What is it with these bots bruh 💀
Ikr
the "wrestler" isnt really much bigger.. both small skinny guys, in prrty much the same category. Also, why is one a "wrestler"? he showed early that he doesnt have very much wrestling exp or skillz..
I was going to say. His wrestling was...not good and also, he pushed away the Korean guy and didn't really try and takedowns, not something wrestlers would do...
Thats not a wrestler 😆
But you funny guy ,when we see Your face and your blah blah.Try to practice not blah bla about others
Your commentary sucks. Gave absolute no credit for Korean taking down the wrestler. Instead you said he was saved by the bell while he was on top.
Wrestler grabbed cage preventing effective slam. Also when he threw him into the cage, that was Aikido because the guy was moving forward making it easier to throw him.
His style reminds me of Peak-a-boo.
