- I absolutely love the shores of Lake Superior and am so excited to share with you this adventure! We found lots of agates, jaspers, and all kinds of other goodies on this trip!

How do you find such amazing rocks?! I hunt for rocks at Lake Superior and Lake Michigan several times every year, but I never find rocks as cool as these!

Wow, so amazing to have a place like that near you and to recognise what=your picking! I’ve loved rocks since a child and well known for filling everything I could with rocks once my childhood bucket was full! Now ALOT older lol, I’m still the same! I love rocks and always bring them home. Hubby says my pile would make life easy for a burglar with ready made tools to break in 😂😂. We are just back from a caravan (re trailer in USA) holiday here in Scotland to a small section of coast in Aberdeenshire between 2 small towns called St Cyrus and Johnshaven, we stayed on a family run site called Miltonhaven my parents favourite site, mine too, but our rig is too long and normally we can only visit. This year they had a empty seasonal pitch so our twin axle could fit. Got to the stage when taking out our sprocker spaniel meg tot he beach hubby would say “NO MORE ROCKS! I filled the footwell of the Landrover Doscovery! We had to buy a box to keep them from using up all my Pooh bags!!! Wish I knew what I had lol I just pick up what catches my eye. Would love to learn to tumble and know what I have! I make jewellery for friends and family and wanted to try to use seem but it’s getting the tools and things here in the U.K. are not easy! Even just finding the diamond drill bit to put a simple hole in is a nightmare! I’d love to see what=you have done with your finds! 😊😊

Do you have any tips on polishing quartz? I found what I think is purple quartz and I don't want to waste it. Does it take longer than normal?
Same as agate! It’s a hard stone but tumbles well if it doesn’t have too many cracks!
