This is one of those grooves where George allows everyone to display their talents 😊!!! Thanks George
I love that he isn't doing a drum solo and going all over the place, but simply grooving like nobody else!
I was here! . . . I saw this LIVE! It was very entertaining! I saw "George Duke, Live, in Japan" at least 1/2 dozen other times!
And George Duke - interviewing you by phone at your home in California was one of the proudest moments of my life. I still have to pinch myself.
Rest in peace George Duke and Louis Johnson 🙏
This is so groovy
And robert brookins
Giants on stage. It can't be more funky. I had the pleasure to see live George Duke with Stanley Clarke and Philipp Bailey in Paris 1984.
This master keyboardist is a virtuoso in his instrument and he can sing too, a monster on stage 🙏👍🎹🎤🎷🎸🎺🥁
Mr Louis Johnson. One of my all time favorite bass players. RIP
Can you get any better...George, Louis, Paul and Steve Ferrone all on stage, absolute legends playing the best music in the world.
L.a session players like John robinson Nathan east steve lukather greg phillinganes Steve porcaro David paich paulinho dacosta Harvey Mason rest of players in the industry

This has now become my favourite live concert of all time, knocking Status Quo's Glasgow Apollo 1976 and NEC Birmingham 1982 into second and third place.
RIP Bro. George, Lois Johnson, Robert Brookins....

Locked down on that groove
Paul jackson throwing in his lick from Michael Jackson's "wanna be Startin' Something"
for sure, he was also guitarist with Michael ;)
Actually David Williams played it in the studio. But surely Paul was working with Michael at this point of time so he just improvised whatever came to his mind.
Georges duke played with Michael Jackson, too. On both singles of the the album "off the wall : off the wall and girlfriend
Paul Jackson played "pyt" and "beat it" with two others guitarist Steve Lukather (toto) and Eddie van Halen, David Williams is the guitarist who plays the most tracks on the album thriller, the rest is played by Steve Lukather and Dean parks
funkin for the thrill, priceless.
