I realize this is an older video and has been a while since last commented - but I have to say THANK YOU! Your video is the 1st I found that mentioned the concept of working Tunisian with both hands and a double-ended hook (both-handed, without turning). I just tested it and it works BEAUTIFULLY and was just what I have been looking for! I know it was meant to explain why you were showing how-to-work 'upside down', but I CAN crochet both-handed and this side-note was a HUGE boon to me.
I'm not as smooth right-handed (though practice helps), but I have been wondering this very question for a while now related to Tunisian + double-ended hook - especially for colorwork along these lines without working in 'rounds' (squares usually) to get a 'flat' piece. Today I finally have my answer! The examples on how the vertical bars slant and making them 'look right' (can't just do TSS back and forth to get 'the TSS look'), seeing how the twisted stitch works, I can just do TSS in my 'dumb' hand (easier) and twisted in my 'smart' hand (can handle more complex tasks/hook-work) - or pattern combinations - as long as I'm paying attention to where the yarn is and where it's feeding from. SO AWESOME!
Even working upside down is an amazing feat, and I'm sure I'll do some of that too, but I wanted to let you know that a random internet stranger is SUPER GRATEFUL you made that offhand comment some 5 years ago about working back 'other' handed if that were one of your skills/talents. 🥰🥰🥰❣

Are you asking about the hook? It is a Tunisian crochet hook with hooks in both ends. I'm working on a sample here, but you can make a scarf or clothes or a pillow the same way :)

    Way too complicated.

Yes, this is complicated and special. But I've made quite a few items now, that I'm very happy with and it gets easier to work like this when you've done it over and over and over. :)
