    Habs will take Iginla/Sennecke before Catton

    • @albertvanular433

      100% Correct. Montreal has already met with Iginla 4 times and they like him a lot. Word is that they are also very interested in Sennecke. There has been virtually no talk about Catton around the Habs. They want bigger forwards so I would be very surprised if they pick Catton.

      But Tyler Motte ?!?!?! Wtf is this hahahhahahahaha

    I think Mike Grier takes Brandsegg-Nygård or Greentree over Connelly because Grier HATES people with attitude issues. But I also think we trade that 14th and 33rd pick for the 9th pick because I think Grier will want to get one of the defensemen since we have a lot of forwards in the Sharks pipeline

    1000& AGREED on Helenius my friend as I see him as the ideal ppg, play-making centerman for Michkov and what great value @ pick #12!!!... But further, I do hope Danny is aggressive and possibly move up to the mid to late teens to get a player with both size & upside in Beckett Senneke !

    Man, the Sharks are going to stock up HARD ( or should) this draft. There's so much NHL ready talent, they can't miss at 14. I know they need D and Yakemchuk's size is desirable, but man. I'd trade picks just to make sure San Jose can secure Cole Hutson. He's the best skater in the draft. His shot might be his weakest asset, but that's only in comparison to Yak's Howitzer. It still finds twine. He reminds me of Paul Coffey and Cale Makar. His feet do the work, his puck control is top notch, his compete is fearless... Whoever gets Hutson is gonna benefit. The Sharks have a lot of draft capital to work with to set the groundwork to build a foundation for the future. I've seen mocks where Eiserman drops and my mind just scrambles at the thought. Saying that acquiring Celebrini is an easy way to say the Sharks ' won the draft', but their drafts in the past after round 1 feel like they're flipping a coin in the war room. This is a legit chance for them to make or break the franchise for years to come. I'm excited for all the teams, because everyone's gonna get a stud this year, maybe two.

    Let's have a little debate here... what if MTL traded #5 with CBJ for #4?
    I don't think CBJ does it for a stagnant Justin Barron, but... maybe a Jayden Struble?
    Would the habs take it? Would CBJ take it? Is it kinda fair? Let's hear it, folks

    No way MTL take Catton, they already have spoken to Cayden Lindstrom and Tij Iginla 4 times. Plus Hughes said if the forward targetted isn't available anymore they would go for a Right Dmen or even trade up if the need be. Berkley Catton just doesn't fit at all with our new culture, we want big elite prospects!

    Did you say Celebrini's comparable is Tyler Motte and his career .22 ppg? The same Tyler Motte who is at best 4th liner? The same Tyler Motte who has never played a full season in his career, is your comparable for the 1st overall? Thanks for telling me the next 20+ minutes of this video is a complete waste of time.

    Yeah... comparing Celebrini to Tyler Motte is really an insult to Celebrini. Personnally, Celebrini is way similar to Jonathan Toews then to 4th liner Tyler Motte. Its ok to have a different opinion, but to compare him to Motte is really outrageous...

    The more I have been thinking about it the more I think the Ducks will also pick Levshunov. Big, skilled and of course he is the coveted RD most teams want and need. I really like Silayev because of his shut down style of game. His monstrous size doesn't hurt either, but with Drysdale gone the Ducks need a future, high end RD. Levshunov would fit in very well on the Ducks.

    Celebrini ... a ''modest'' 1st overall pick? What do you mean by that lol? ''Not elite'' ??? Comparable to TYLER FREAKING MOTTE ??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!
    The kid is super young and he's usually ranked either just ahead of Jack Hughes or just behind amongst the last 10 1st overall picks...
    1- McDavid
    2- Bedard
    3- Mathews
    4- Hughes or Celebrini
    5- Celebrini or Hughes
    I think you are severely underestimating the youngest hobey backer winner in history that has an elite 2-way play and is known for his leadership and his attitude/competitiveness.
    Oh, and he's barely eligible for the draft. He turns 18 2 weeks before the draft lol

    • @Newwavehockey
      @Newwavehockey  18 дней назад

      I personally think the elite talk is a product of recency bias. Every year we focus upon a consensus pick and hype him up as the next greatest thing. Celebrini shows signs of being an Elite #1 Center one day but he does have a long way to go. He did a really good job of rounding out his game this year but I still wouldn't say that he is one of "the best" 1st overall picks we've seen in some time, especially with prospects like Hagens and McKenna coming up

    • @alecvincent7609
      @alecvincent7609 18 дней назад +3

      @@Newwavehockey Celebrini and Hagens put up very very similar numbers in the USHL (1.72 ppg vs 1.75 ppg).
      Celebrini is bigger and most people would agree is much better defensively.
      Hagens is also 6 months older relative to his draft class compared to Celebrini.
      I love Hagens but the U18 is literally the only place he's arguably been ''better'' than Celebrini so far.
      Now for McKenna, sure. This guy is a monster and projects as a generational player, not just an elite one.
