    • @Saab79Turbo
      @Saab79Turbo Год назад

      thats not entirely true buddy, if you enter a street and you need to back up, you definatrly do need your side mirrors when backing up. You do not turn your body backwards to drive reverse and the one mirror inside is not enough to get you safely and soundly out of the street, without hitting any cars or bystanders. So a mirror showing automatically your tire when you put in R, is not very smart imho. When parking, you do not use them idd, but the mirrors have more function then only use it for parking.

      @@Saab79Turbo nah I put my hand on the head rest of the passenger seat and turn my head and upper body to face the rear of the car when reversing. I don't use any mirrors. • @Saab79Turbo
      @Saab79Turbo Год назад +1

      @@beanburrito7706 that is not how you are supposed to reverse, never turn your body nor your head. Here in Holland that would be a "no go", the moment you do that in a test, you will fail for your driving test, without doubt. I guess you have learned that fpe yourself and not from your teacher, but no, that is not the way tbh and I think that is even a no go in your country. Turning your body and head is not safe way to drive, maybe in the 70s 80, my dad still drives like that sometimes. Also when parking backwards, you do not turn your head, you have to keep your control using all the mirrors. I understand why you do it, I still do it sometimes. Even tho I am a driving instructor. When noone is around, I do it sometimes. But I do know for a fact that using the mirrors is much safer.

    • @beanburrito7706

      @@Saab79Turbo the only times I've ever hit anything reversing is when I've been relying on the mirrors. You can't look at all of them at once. Nice that the mirror points down when you're backing up but when you're going forward you should see your blind spot and not the side of your car.

    It's make and model specific. I drive a Renault Duster (2020 model) and My vehicle does not have that function. The mirror remains in the position I leave it in.

    You don’t have to program it.
    An example BMW is a switch. You toggle it and the moment you put it on R the mirror will go down and then D will go back up without going 15mph.

    If it doesn’t work for your bmw, try to put the knob where you selected which mirror to modify to the left mirror after you adjusted the right one and see if it works that way, or put the knob in the middle

      @@MrTexaz101 nope you can turn on or off " curb view " with controls just like changing other settings . Even swing mirrors in or out with power controls . I got 1 , my dad had 2 different ones . After 2000 sometimes , check your owners manual . It's not as rare as you think .

What you AAAALSO didnt mention is its to help you back into your stall perfect, every single time, with out dinging your shit. Tell me the WHY it does it, and youll have a kickass channel ma dude.
