Danny I wanted to thank you… recently I was at a game as a cheerleader. After the game 2 guys were stuck with a dead car battery. I knew my dad put jumper cables in my trunk and ALSO had me watch your vid on connection order starting with red on their car. I got them started in minutes while they just stood there. I felt so proud and my friend couldn’t believe how I actually “looked like I knew what I was doing”. Thanks again and sorry for the long message. ❤️🎉Happy 2024!
Danny, I would like to thank you for KISS method when describing the systems. It is always a pleasure to learn from your site, and being an Aircraft Engineer, great detail on the explanations of systems and troubleshooting.
thankyou danny. I'm a new driver with my first ever car i bought after saving up from my part time jobs. and it's a honda civic 2008 it helps a lot watching ur videos on how to maintain and fix or upgrade my car
Thank you too. You have inspired and gave me confidence to tackle tasks I never thought I could do on my aging Civic. Happy New Year and may 2024 bring you more success.
A good trunk addition would be a nice 1/2" drive 24" breaker bar & proper size 1/2" drive deep socket that fits your lugs.[1] Think of it as a life time investment, as it can be moved to future cars. (But if a future car uses different size lugs, you'll need to get another socket.) Hope you never need it, but it's nice knowing it's there. You won't find many wheels it'll fail to remove. A two or three inch 1/2" drive extension gets bonus points; as would some clean rags packed around the spare. [1] If you have family/friends you might 'rescue' sometime, get sockets to fit their lugs as well.
Danny, I have a question about tyre pressure. I have the exact same model, mine was built in Brazil, shipped to Argentina (where I live), I was told (not by the manufacturer) that I should put more PSI into the tyre than what's recommended. I drive in city and mostly highway, and I travel frequently, avging about 50-500km's a trip. The reason for that is to have better fuel milage and a smoother ride, and it works, and my tyres are looking good so far, they're brand new Bridgestone Turanza ER300 205/55/16 I put 40 psi on front tyres and 38 in the back (no passangers, only me and my wife). Let me know what you think... Thanks in advance! Love your videos!!! Happy new year to you and your family! god bless you.
The more pressure the stiffer the ride, however better performance around corners and better gas mileage, lower pressure softer ride, manufacture recommends what works best for safety I would guess
Happy New Year to you 2!! I recently bought a 2007 Honda Element Ex and with your channel, I managed to do a lot of work on it with your help!! I’m from Québec!
Thanks Danny. Your videos a great and very helpful. I too have a 09 Civic Ex. I’m having EVAP issues. Do you have any advice for that type of repair? 🇺🇸
Danny Super Thank you & Happy New Year! Im so glad that Ive found your channel about 8th gen Civic. I’ve never thought I would tackle most of the DIY to do maintenance on this car. In the past I will just pay unknown mechanic to do the job for me, but not anymore...w/ your super clear explanation and video Im able to do it myself & save some money.
@@dannysdiygarage Yes thanks to you Danny for the guides on how to repair the AC system. Because I have replaced the Condenser of the AC system myself. And now I will need to rewach you video how to recharge the AC system.😇
