It’s cool though that Melissa’s son is playing the role that his uncle played on the show. They even have a great deal of resemblance as well.
so 'willie oleson' has basically stayed within the Gilbert family. Jonathan Gilbert (Melissa's brother) played Willie in the tv series!

And then I met Rob Lowe. My life completely changed. I loved Rob. Rob loved Rob. The both of us loved Rob. Rob wanted to get married. But marriages to yourself were not yet acceptable. And I didn't want to be the flower girl....
As every other female at the time, she was addicted to all that was Rob Lowe! She never got over him.

@GlanceofGlory lot's of stage actors get hurt while doing musicals. kristin chenoweth has had major injuries from musicals. it's a tough job, especially when it's a professional production.
