Apologies for the overall weirdness of this video. My lights, camera and sound were all working against me that day and I couldn’t fix it in editing. 😩💔😩
Good review. I had to watch the original movie to recap what happened prior. I think Blossom’s character was murdered, and was referred to when Oloture’s character’s journal was read by Phillip. But we never saw how Beauty’s home was burned down, or how/why she came back to Lagos the second time. I think this will be an ongoing series, hence the boat scene at the end. Next we’ll see the arrival in Italy. And judging by the continuity of the cast, it appears the entire series was filmed at one time in 2019, but getting released in pieces.
I had so many issues with this series and was also disappointed when only 3 episodes were released. Why was it so easy for Chuks to Pop Bucci Franklin? I would have loved Chuks to deflower beauty first before letting her go on her first mission as a prostitute (well, that tells you that sometimes, nobody cares or he didn't want any form of attachment). I also didn't understand how Oloture had Stan Nze's number by heart when she dialed his number to come save her or an explanation as to how she got the number. Well, except I missed that part. Overall, they did well, I enjoyed the movie, it's not an easy task.
Alero had a bounty on her head and she went to buy a new car? As per big girl? Untouchable? okay naw😂 If I hadn’t given up in episode 1, I gave up then 😭😂. How did Ehi go through all that trauma and remember the number of someone she met 2.5 seconds before hand. How could the “series” end so abruptly lol I’ll just put it down to ebony life “adapting”(I call it that lightly ) someone’s investigative work and lived experience without having her foresight lol. They don’t know how the journey ends, so they didn’t end it. They’ll want to make it into a long running series I am sure but abeg no. What a damn shame
I think Oloture could not go back home because her boss from the scoop newspaper told her that her direct boss was killed, a shutdown threat was on his paper, he doesn't feel safe and doesn't want to have anything to do with her. There was threat to her life and there was nothing for her to go home to.
Is nobody talking about the fact that unlike the movie where we heard their voices in pidgin, this was voiced over in English??? I couldn't even get halfway through the first episode like why did that deem like a good idea is this a bollywood or southafrican show? Made no sense and was so distracying so disappointing afyer waiting so long
I was disappointed because if they wanted to leave the end of the film open for us to make our own conclusions, then they should’ve left it at the film. This series left me shocked and very angry. I had an entitled sense of “they made me wait 5 years for this?” 😂 I say entitled cos honestly, i had no expectations. Considering bukola hasn’t been in any movies for a while, it was a let down of a comeback. The Ghanaian slang between stan and his friend was not it. This was an opportunity to expand into alero’s story especially as they showed a family member who seemed religious. Was she a pastor’s daughter? How did she get into this business? I didn’t like femi’s character. I think it was efa’s acting. AND WHAT WAS THAT DESERT SCENE DURING THE SAND STORM???!!!!! I was infuriated!!!!!! Like LIE DOWN JARE! I could go on and on about the things I didn’t like.
Tito you mention “no character development” and/or “no backstory” alot of times in your reviews… I think the first time I remember you mentioned it, was with Adesuwa’s character in gangs Lagos. So i’m wandering… could it just be that “back stories” aren’t always necessary in story telling? Or if I may ask, how do you think Alero’s back story would have impacted the plot? Also, why do feel like it didn’t conclude? Personally, I saw some finality with them going in the boat. I think we’re welcome to write our own conclusions.. lol. It’ll certainly be annoying if they come in another 2 years with a continuation 😒
I see your point and perhaps I’ll come back at a more convenient time to respond to the character development question but as for the finality and continuation question, seeing as they’ve brought us this far and they showed this Italian man and so on, they need to close the loop. We now need to know what happens to Oloture at the end of this quest. If not the story isn’t finished and all this will feel like a bit of a waste of time. Also, this story isn’t that complicated and I didn’t see why it needs to be stretched out for 7+ years. The movie was in 2019 and this 3 part series came 5 years later. Who knows when we’ll get the concluding part. The need to wrap this up ASAP before we totally lose interest or forget what’s going on in the lives of the numerous characters.

Apologies accepted
But you showed up regardless
Well done
A Bad Guy character, doesn't always need to be scary and menacing... Lots of bad guys are sweet looking, warm and unassuming
I enjoy your review. It's very objective.

I love your review..😊
I totally agree with your review Tito! I did enjoy Sharon , Beverley and Bukola’s acting.
Yeah. I liked Stan Nze and Amara Onoh’s performances as well. It was so sad when Amara’a character Andrew died in the desert. 🌵💔

They should of left it alone im sure blood sister will be next...can you review saving onome on prime
Oloture and peju had to proceed because peju said, that Nigeria going back was too far from where they were. Which was why they had to keep on going.

Eniola Tito my guy how are you doing

Etim didn’t do it for me in this ,they didn’t do much with his character, his costumes and makeup were so bad,it didn’t elevate his personality
What happened to Sambaza nzeribe
This was one very unnecessary sequel.

Very boring series
