I'm here!!! 🙈 And I'm typing this as I watch so if it ends up being an essay, bear with me! 1. Let it be known that I gave you the license not to be biased o! 😂 But I greatly appreciate your extra level of sensitivity and consideration. Thank you! 2. "Chizi Duru" was actually a coincidence! I was neck deep into writing the story before I remembered. 😀 3. Yes please!!! watch party video!!! 4. The way I ran back to go see the end credits in the movie! 😱I am beyond shocked that Jay wasn't listed in the credits! I've seen this movie a gazillion number of times and I could have sworn he was credited. I definitely owe Jay an apology. Also, there was actually another scene of his that we had to cut (unfortunately) due major sound issues that we had with the scene. I was tempted to type more and be doing some "shalaye" but honestly, it's not necessary. I'm just so grateful that the world can finally see this movie! And yes, now that I'm on the producer/director side, I don humble ooooo! 😂😂 My eyes have seen and my ears have heard! Glory to God! 😂 I do want it on record that I vehemently contest this jollof rating! 😱While I'm not delusional enough to ignore the lapses in the movie, I strongly believe that the Story, Performances, Directing, Makeup, Costume and Storytelling earned this film much more. I cannot thank you enough Tito! I'm so so grateful for this feedback. Even the things you didn't say, I heard loudly! Thank you so much and God bless you abundantly!!!!!!
I was wondering why the groom's friend kept showing up... as l was about to say 'se eleyi ko nise ni?' the guy just said, 'I should kuku move in with you people ooo, you guys should just give me a bed in this ya honeymoon'... that cracked me up so much... I really liked that statement... infact that was my fav scene...
I appreciate your honesty in sharing with your audience that you will be biased. IT SHOWS YOU RESPECT YOUR AUDIENCE. Your faith and stance as a believer is worthy of mention too. I think our movies are becoming too erotic which is not so African. They are getting too steamy and may indirectly lead to people sinning. I think love scenes can be implied and we move to the next scene.
I enjoyed the movie tho, honestly, i 1. I like that sex in marriage is something that they threw a light on in the movie, cos I feel people downplay the role of sex in marriage. 2. I like that adanna's character wasn't the cliché, ex coming back to spoil the marriage(I've seen it in movies too much) I'm glad they didn't write her to go down that path 3. I love how effective communication was stressed on 4. I love how the man held himself back 5, They characters did a fantastic Job
I’m a first timer on your channel and I am just gonna subscribe, cos I love the review. I love the movie because I love Adenike so much. And while I think it can be better, I genuinely think it’s a great film, especially being her first feature film. I have to re emphasize on that owner of the hotel guy acting, common now, common! That guy could and should have been exchanged for someone else while on set. His performance was poor and if he ever sees my comment and wants to continue acting, I think he should take my criticism at heart and use it to work more on himself. Every other actor to me did a good job. Well done to Adenike for directing a whole movie and pulling it off well and I am sure the next will be even better. Congratulations again.
I'll comment on the last part, yes it's a thing. Ive asked my friends that married as virgins how it went, definitely not how big their husband is or if the came but ti find out how they are doing and how they found the experience because we definitely know it would be a painful experience and to offer comfort and insight where needed. I'll never ask my friend that has had premarital sex how it went or neither will i ask my teens anymore questions after she's found her groove.
I think that the movie was on to something fantastic with this movie but I don't think they achieved... Why you might ask... 1. I think if sex was the premise of the entire movie I think the time they arrived at the hotel till the eventually checked out was not sufficient time to consider sex an issue to begin with considering that they waited to be married to consulmate the marriage. 2. The girl that tried to seduce chizzy was totally an unnecessary distraction. 3. I think they didn't explore the goldmine that should have been adanna because from being a friend from the past to being the kind girl offering pad/ pain killers to the home wreaker kissing and getting hot an heavy for an ex who she just sent pills to to them having lunch or dinner to finally the one apologizing and telling her to forgive chizxy... I think its almost impossible to believe that that's possible. Was it interesting yes, did I enjoy myself I absolutely did but I think it could have been much more in my opinion …
I was quite confused to see the movie on RUclips, because it had been announced that it was coming out on Netflix. Do you per chance know why it didn’t come out on Netflix anymore?
I feel that it is a bizarre evaluation to hail the Adanna character as being somewhat refreshing because she appears as a friend to the couple rather than a wedge between them. Is it different? Yes… but the more important question is whether it is dramatically effective. If that character was not going to be used to form a romantic or sexual triangle with the characters, exactly what purpose does she serve? This was just one of many examples of the dramatic inertness of the whole story. It’s like they deliberately went out of their way to avoid “drama” or anything interesting at every turn.
Well I don't think it's every character that has to be dramatic to be effective. I think what the writers were going for was to show a character that had respect for herself and respect for her ex-fiancé's wife and the institution of marriage. Creating that character and what she represented was not lost on me:mature, level-headed and respectful. That is a character we don't see often on TV and honestly it was refreshing to see.
@@naakoshielamptey2155 Thank you jare... it's like Bisola Aiyeola's character in 'Sista'... everyone expected her to be evil/jealous but as she said 'I am a SECURE woman'... I like the ex's behaviour jare...
