I was so excited when I saw you were going to use the dauber. I always loved when you would do the “splat” and you haven’t done it for quite awhile. The cover is wonderful and definitely you.
I didn't think that a third yellow element was all that necessary, but when you added that watercolour it completely transformed the whole thing and brought it all together, I am amazed at how your mind works
That tear and sew looks adorable and indeed posses a deep meaning. I'll try that soon. I love how you find yourself in every little decision. You know YOU!😄.. You always recreate in a way that your art gets its individuality too. 💙🌼
Thank you for sharing the things you would have done differently so we learn in advance. Also, your sentiment for being broken and stitched back together is something I resonate with and agree that art is SUCH a powerful healer. ❤ I just love your work! Thank you🎉
Oh Wow!! I love the way this turned out. You have such a good eye. After you pointed out that the bottom right needed something else, I agreed with you. Who knew all it needed was a little more grunge. I love the way it turned out. ♥️♥️♥️
Barbara, it is such a pleasure to watch you create. You are not afraid to give something a try. Well, maybe you are afraid, but you grit your teeth and go ahead. With brave wings, she flies! I loved when you said the broken clothes pin was a sign. Great way to look at it. 😻 I have several of the things you used - the corrugated board and distress inks - so I can’t wait to give your project a try! I hope spring is coming to Vienna. It is coming where I live and seeing the colors of spring is nice.
Hi Barbara. Like everyone else. I love these pinterest series. Your version is not only gorgeous and so "you" but I love that you are brave enough to share a little of the personal representation. So precious. I will give this a try for sure.❤your friend in Nebraska !! Happy Easter 🐇
Barbara, I always like when you do this type of video with the Pinterest ideas. This turned out amazing!! It is definitely a beautiful journal cover with lots of textures, and just the right hint of your favorite colors. You just made me want to go tear up a box somewhere so I can peel it back for the corrugated stuff. Thanks for the inspiration as always. Hugs, Carol Schneider
Stunning!! I absolutely love these Pinterest inspiration videos! The end result is just gorgeous! I love watching you examine the image, almost like a junk journaling detective😂, and than come up with your own solutions based on what you have. Love it!
FABULOUS Barbara, I do reallly like the Pininterest tag, BUT I REALLY prefer your one, as you said, it is very you. Your dragonfly is so beautiful and very majestic, a beautiful cover cor a journal. WELL DONE my crafty friend. Sending you very Blessed Easter wishes and hugs fro. Cape Town. Diana
Amazing to watch you work on this cover! I was holding my breath when you were spraying at the end! I know I would have had a royal mess, but I should have know you were going to make it work right!!!!! Your cover is LOVELY!!!!!!
That looks great. I love the cut and stitch idea. I thought to extend the stitching idea to do open weave type darning. I love the colour combination too.
Your cover turned out beautifully. I am thinking I'll try this process on my first junk journal. Thank you for sharing. Not only your ideas and creative processes but your life's journey. Many blessings. And happy creating 😊.
Barbara another great video!!! Also you would be so proud. I followed a video and the altered book i made came out amazing!!!!!so excited to start to work in it
I think she used broken china because if she made it in 2017, Ranger didn't had speckled egg or salvaged patina yet, but it doesn't really matters, because your colors worked just fine! Beautiful art !
I should really go back to look at all the things I've pinned over the years 🙊. That's a pretty post 😍. I obviously don't go on Instagram enough either 🙈. I use wall filler as texture paste 🙊. Yep, sewing tears in corrugated card wouldn't have occurred to me either! Aww I love the symbolism! Gorgeous😍😍😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I'm so glad you've come back to your Pinterest Inspired Series!
Love this cover! It is fun to try and recreate ideas from pinterest making them your own.
