I recently received my goldmaster 24k a few weeks ago. My wife and I have only gotten out once with it. The machine is so easy to use! No gold, but we did dig about 10" down to find an old shotgun shell. We are ready to go out and find some of that shine!!
Every gold prospecting metal detector needs a coil cover... (included in the box)... Why? Because we swing low and slow. How low? On the ground low! "Oh... thats pretty low! Why? Well gold is heavy and it is constantly on the move downward in uconsolidated soil until it traps. Gold comes in all shapes and sizes and large pieces of gold tend to sink deeper and we need the coil to be as close to the ground as possible on a vlf running at 48 Khz to hit them. Ideally a simultaneous multi-frequency detector is expected to outperform a single frequency detector because it will hit the larger peices of gold deeper and hit the smaller pieces of gold shallow all at the same time.
I like the fact that the small coil can be worked in any direction around clumps of grass, rocks and crevices to locate a target. With a double d coil you're stuck with just a side to side detection. I'm very interested in hearing a video that showcases the threshold during a hunt. Very cool machine. 👍
I have had a few Whites over the years and haven't used them to their potential. I favored the Fishers and Minelabs, as he mentioned you can locate mineralized streaks. Using the Whites in super sensitive settings you can mark out pay streaks for high banking rather effectively. Thanks for pointing that out because my friends poohoo my observation that of all my different detectors Whites is best at delineating the black sand concentrations. Wasn't always gold, but more times than not.
The video is very informative. I think I would start the coil wire winding the other way to not bend the coil wire when recovering a target. But that's my preference. Looking forward to owning one of these detectors.
Love the battle belt set up your using with the Condor battle belt and belt with the Cobra buckle and suspenders. You can set those up in a ba'zillion different ways! great video!!
Love the 24k. Best nugget machine I've ever owned. Word to the wise, it's a very versatile detector and a tad 'techy', but worth learning. Digging that gear harness too...looks perfect for the Arizona heat! Any info on where to get that kit would be appreciated! Thanks for the awesome video. Btw, White's made an awesome nugget machine. When Garrett acquired it they made a few 'tweaks' to the 24k. IMO it's an even better detector now.
I want to not only know who designed this UI, but actually talk to them and pick their brain. I love my 24k's, but I struggle to understand the reasoning for the settings control.
Só é ruim comprar aparelhos de vcs porque não tem nem um vídeo em português comprei um aparelho 24k garinpeiro exporte da White nem sei se tá regulado certo

Is this detector good for ocean beach, relics, silver and coin hunt? About to make a purchase but want to make sure it's good all around.

I had to put on headphones to hear the threshold. I was surprised how it was always there even after going over a target. Very smooth.
