The Puma PWRFRAME TR 2 is a training shoe designed for HIIT, casual cross-training, and light lifting.
In the context of Puma training shoes, the PWRFRAME TR 2 has a thicker and more responsive midsole compared to models like the Fuse and Fuse 2, and I was pumped to put this shoe to the test.
In my Puma PWRFRAME TR 2 review, I'll cover all of the key details you should know before buying this model.

Overall, the Puma PWRFRAME TR 2 has been a pretty solid training shoe for those on a budget.
This shoe should work exceptionally well for most HIIT workouts and they're okay for lighter strength work.
In the context of running, this model can work for a few casual miles, but I wouldn't push them past that extent.
My main gripes with this shoe are its narrower width and the fact that it may have some outsole durability issues with hard outdoor sessions.

Really great review on these Mtn Lion PWRFRAME TR 2.
Thank you!
Hey Jake, love your videos as always. Have you heard of the Peluva Strand? They look interesting. Would like to see you review them. Thanks.
I haven't, but now I'm intrigued and will add them to the list!
Really liked the Pwrframe 1's. Might have to check these out if Puma runs a holiday promotion. 😂
I feel like you could prob cop a pair for like $50 once sales reallllly hit
It is the same as powerframe tr 3? 🤔 between this and Puma nitro Squared?
Hey jake have you ever try using some tennis shoes like Adidas and New Balance as training and outdoor running shoes, there isnt as many training shoes available in my country as tennis shoes so im consider to have one for myself
I have, but I don't do so often. Most tennis shoes work exceptionally well for training much like basketball shoes!
I was about to buy this shoes and glad you mentioned about the wide feet issue. Can you recommend a walking / running shoes that is good for wide feet?
Altra Solstice XT 2 or born primitive savage 1
My mums bought me there for Christmas they will be used for hyrox hopefully they will be ok.i will let you know how i get on with them
Ayyy that's sick. Hope you like em!
Can I use them for brisk walking and jogging? I don't do long and fast runs as I have just started and I can't do much due to my weight. I bought them mainly for beginner level gym exercises and walks.
Totally! Should be fine!
Had the shoe for about four months and used it for light runs and daily use to work. The upper however started to tear in the folds and I ended up returning the shoe. Comfort : 7/10. Durability : 3/10.
Where did it start to tear on the shoe?
@@thatfitfriend Like when you stand on your toes and you look down towards your toes, the area that creases and folds. Material just started tearing more and more. Actually ended up replacing those ones with the pwframe 3 as the material seems better and the other pair wasn't bad besides that issue. So hope these ones last.
Hey Jake, I was curious what is your recommendation for a hiit trainer? I tried the dropset trainer 2 out but I didn't mesh well with them. I appreciate it!
Dropset were prob a bit too dense for only HIIT-focused work, I'm guessing?
These could work, the Nike Free Metcon 5, and Adidas Everyset would be good options to explore next!
@@thatfitfriend Yes they were lol, I'll give those a try. Thank you!
Hey Jake, I'm confused between buying Puma pwrframe and fuse 2.0. which one would you like to recommend. The price point is almost same in India considering the offers & cashbacks. (Mostly I do weight training and rearly Cardio). Looking forward for your comment 😊
Fuse 2.0 would be my suggestion!
Does it have the same sizing as the Puma Fuse 2.0? The Fuse 2 looks a bit long on my feet and when a tried going half a size down they feel somewhat tight on my feet. Would you consider getting these sort of an upgrade to the Fuse 2? You think it's better to just get the UA Reign 5? 😂 Thanks!
I'd go Reign 5, tbh!
If you go the PWRFRAME, go down a half-size and no I don't see them as a major upgrade to the Fuse 2s, they're just diff!
Is it also suitable for cardio exercises and walking long distances?
Should be!
Why they don't work for leg press and hack squat?
They can, but since they lack a full rubber tread they give me pause if you’re going heavy and in gyms that are a little more humid. More slip potential, in short.
Thank you Jake! In that aspect i think the Puma Infusion is more secure.
It's £36 here in the UK. I'm getting it. 😎
Solid deal!
👍
