  • We visited Universal Studios Hollywood on January 16, 2024 to check in on the construction of the new roller coaster themed to Fast & Furious. A massive retaining wall is being built. As well as a giant trench. Along with more earth being moved around.

great update! this coaster is honestly kinda slept on, I think once the coaster foundations are up and vertical construction starts there will be more hype

I can’t imagine how challenging it must be from an engineering perspective to build a rollercoaster of this caliber entirely on a hillside! Crazy!

Coaster + side of a hill + it's a side of that hill = really cool project. The crane picking the drill bit out of the pile on the studio tour road was really cool.

Great coverage of the construction progress!! It’s an extremely risky job for the workers 🏗️ being on the hillside, and I hope they stay careful and safe with a smooth operation…. Excellent video!!!

Thank you! I appreciate it! And, yeah, it's gonna be quite risky for sure. It's nice seeing them all use safety equipment. Looks like the entire job site was well thought out for the benefit of the worker.

Thanks for a more detailed footage, others just breeze by the project.

You're welcome. I spent two hours there today. All at the construction site. And, had it not been for somewhere I needed to be, I would have stayed longer. No lies when I say I could be there all day watching. It's exciting stuff! Hopefully in some future updates I can have start and end of day footage.

I wonder will happen to the *Fast and Furious* section of Tram Tour? I hope they level it ad add something new in the near future. Do they still go the *Collapsing Bridge* or go around it (again another opportunity for something 'new and improved').

I'm sure I'll go away. Just as the previous Fast & Furious tram display was removed for what we have now.

It just dawned on me how silly we thusies are. We get excited over a retaining wall. The antici.....................pation is real!

Haha. Right? But I enjoy all types of construction. Like when the Wilshire Grand was being built in DTLA. I followed that from the demolition of the old building, to the foundation work, to it being topped off and opening.

@@AmericasCoasterNetwork I might be your spirit animal because construction projects are my favorite thing. I love watching something become from nothing. Especially if that something has a great view with airtime and laterals. 😁😁😁
