That's addiction in general. There are no friends amongst addicts, just "friends". I was stuck in an endless spiral of addiction for almost 21 years straight, been clean for almost 5 years and now that I'm almost 41 years old, not a single person who I used to "party" with are in my life. Why would they want to hang out with someone who's clean and sober? Everyone is out for themselves in active addiction, and people will do and say anything to get their fix, sh^t is tragic as f^^^ and I'm thankful to be away from all of it today. Some people just can't be helped because their bottom is lower than others unfortunately, smfh.
