The best explanation I found till date for beginners and also pros!!!!! This has to be a paid course!!!!!
I am smiling to myself after watching this. You make it look so easy. I will have a go myself tomorrow........I hope I will still be smiling. Thank you for this.
Before starting a charcoal piece for class I always watch one of your videos to put me into the drawing mood :) It really helps a lot!
Thank you for sharing your talent with us!. I learned so much from this.
You are like the best teacher ever! Thank you so much!
I keep coming back to this tutorial, because it is so very helpful. It's amazing to watch you work and terrific to hear you explain all your thinking/process of why you are doing certain things. I'll be referring back to this a lot. Thank you so much. I have learned a lot from just this video
Excellent 👌
The precise control on charcoal and a random shape turned into a beautiful piece is amazing.
A pleasure to watch your videos, I am not left with questions or guessing so confidence is there. Concise, not too much talking and no superfluous information. Especially grateful that you added the info at the end, of what charcoal you used and why. Perfect!
You are an amazing teacher ! Thank you !
Very helpful, thank you! Much better than my current Drawing professor. Wish I was able to be under your wing!
You are here in this channel, you are under my wing :)

I’ve been watching your stuff because I’m going to try to teach a still life class. A lot of this stuff is intuitive to me now so it’s nice to have someone explain it all.
Learn easily with you sir

Watching this at 4:28am.
I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks.
@@YongChen Yes I enjoyed it. Thank you. I enjoy watching all your videos. I've been painting for 15 years now. Started at age 35. I now make a living from art, teaching art once a week at a private school and then running a studio/gallery.
Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making these videos.
Hey friend, coming to you at 4:32am 11 months later.
Watching at 4:58 after 1 year

Your newest Subscriber-for-Life is thrilled to be with you and hopes for the next few years to learn much. Thank you.
Εξαιρετικό μάθημα. Μαθαίνω τόσα πολλά από εσάς!
Thank so very much! A very good lecture again from you, dear sir! So beautiful charcoal drawing, you are showing us all! Wish you all the Best! Greetings from Sweden!
Thank you for sharing your talent and fabulous art tutorials!! My only wish is that I lived closer so I could take class in person! (I will have to settle for your online classes). Again, thank you for sharing your talent, and all your AMAZING drawings and paintings. Not only are you an amazing artist, inspiration, and influence, but your teaching style is a tremendous gift to all that watch and learn.
Another excellent video! Thank you Yong for all your helpful tips and instruction! - Jeff
I am both excited to try this and terrified to fail 😬🙏
Wow nice
Very nice
Really nice 👍
❤❤❤❤❤
👏👏👏
每次跟陈老师画画,都觉得画得很放松,没有那种一上来就联系打线条,画形体画比例,画各种调子的焦灼感
It is heavier on the side with the darker object because there is not enought air and space there. The sense of volume and tone are also lost
I can draw with pencil and charcoal and get the values pretty good. Color is confusing
Συνεχίστε αυτά τα πολύτιμα για εμάς να βιντεάκια. Εμείς που δε μπορέσαμε να πάμε σε σχολή καλών τεχνών μας βοηθάτε πολύ.
I love your advice, you can draw with the eraser.
Wow
Amazing method of teaching... u made it so easy..
Please tell me the name of
Meterial... Which charcoal stick, n charcoal pencil n kneeded eraser u r using.. Coz it's blending so easily..
I have a question. MYy art teacher uses your videos to teach us. She gave me this question and idk the answer. "The realationship between the value of one object to another is called ________________ ________________"
Very nice (:
Even though its BW you can see the colour.
I want to know where this eraser frome its really good
How much is your class
What are materials used?
