    There is one really important thing I learned from this video, you can symmetrize on axis in substance. Great work!

    What made you use the low as a high res model vs adding more geo to the model and using that as the high res? I'm not entirely sure when you'd want to use a separate high res model outside of microdetails sculpted inside Zbrush or something of the sort.

    Great tutorial! Thank you. The most confusing part was where you were doing guard UV's. I mean, how do you understand which part to move\sew

      It's like sewing clothes. Look for where a seam is needed and where it needs to be attached.

    I'm new to Maya. What have you done at 4:40? How did you duplicate it? I think a couple of texts or a voice over would help.

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 года назад

      I created a duplicate by pressing Ctrl+D and then scaled it with -1 to flip the mesh.

    After creating a seam on the cylindrical parts of the handle and then choosing to cut after which I select all the uvs and select move and sew edges they don’t unwrap in a box like yours does any chance you might know why?

    Hello thank you for this awesome tutorial , Just I have question ,at the time of 40:36 to 41:04 are u deleting the layers? I think you deleted the layer but we still see them on sword what u exactly did at this duration of the time 40:36 To 41:04 ?
    Thanks.

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 года назад

      Yes, I deleted those layers and took new a new rust material and a new fill layer.

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 года назад +1

      And they layer you still see on the sword are from the folder below.

    • @moslemshahrokh
      @moslemshahrokh 2 года назад

      @@3dwolf yes that's right but when u deleting the layer ,why the scratch on the top ( Long )shape of the sword is not removed for u, just the deleted layers effected on the arc shape ?

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 года назад +1

      Because the same duplicated layer in the folder below is still active.

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 года назад +1

      And the other reason you can still see those scratches is when I duplicated that folder I didn't take a new black mask to paint over that curved part over the handle, I just used the polygons fill to fill that part and didn't erase all those effects from the blade of the sword that's why those layers are still visible.
      That's my bad sorry.
      Thanks for pointing out that mistake 😅 I'll make sure it won't happen again.
