  • When it comes to Pure Vessel, a lot of people tend to use a jumping method to avoid his attacks and pogo off of him, but using shade cloak and chasing him down made more sense for me. It feels more consistent, even if you have to make sure the shade cloak cooldown has ended.
    Gameplan:
His lunge and triple hit attacks are very similar in that they are traveling hitboxes that come at you. Just shade cloak through and immediately chase him down for a quick nail slash. If you'd like, you can dash towards him to get there faster so that you're more likely to get a hit in before he teleports away.
His projectile attack can be tricky, because if you Shade Cloak too early, you can get hit by one of the projectiles. Wait for the audio cue or even the visual cue of the white lines coming out, THEN Shade Cloak.
His dive attack is very hard to react to, so have that in the back of your mind. When he does that attack while starting out next to you, it's so much easier to react to. Just dash away, and you'll usually be in the position to not have to adjust yourself to avoid the spikes.
When he does the focus attack, dash away. You can fire off a Shade Soul, or you can go for a risky heal. The heal attempt is risky because you're taking the chance that a smaller circle won't spawn on top of you. I personally like to use the baldur shell charm to eliminate the risk of taking damage when trying to heal during the focus attack.
When he reaches 25% health, he will begin to shoot out abyss tendrils. It can be hard to react and realize he's doing this attack, because it's a dark arena and it can be hard to see the black tendrils. When you do realize it's coming while you're dashing towards him, if you immediately full hop, you should be able to clear the hitbox in time and have an opening to slash him twice. (I always automatically dash because I'm used to doing that to avoid everything else.)
    Thanks for watching!
