1. Will there be a ban when people exit during amnesty?
There will be no ban and no fines against people who will apply for the two-month amnesty announced to start on first September 2024. The Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security in short ICP confirmed in a press conference on Wednesday 28.
The Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security added that, those who will decide to leave the country can return any time with the right visa. There will be no overstay fine or exit fee charged on anyone who comes out to use the amnesty.
This is the best opportunity for those who are staying illegally in the UAE to either regularise the residency status or leave the country without fines.
2. Who can apply for Amnesty 2024?
The ICP also made it clear to the United Arab Emirates public that the visa amnesty programme 2024 will supports all types of expired visas, including tourist or visit visas and residency visas.
3. What about children born in UAE with no documents ?
If you have a child born in the Emirates with no valid residence visa, you can take advantage of this amnesty and rectify the visa status of your child or children without paying any fines.
This is the best opportunity for people who are staying in the UAE with no valid visas to either get a new residence visa, new tourist visa or leave the country without fines.
4. Will this Amnesty period be extended after 2 months ?
At this point no one can predict if there will be an extension of the amnesty period in case people turn up in big numbers and at the end of 2 months there are so many people pending clearance, the authorities may extend but it is not advisable to wait for last minute. The earlier the better.
5. Is this the first Visa Amnesty in UAE?
This UAE Visa amnesty 2024 will be the fourth amnesty programme by the UAE government since 2007.
The last amnesty was six years ago from first August 2018, to December 31 2018. Originally the amnesty was to end by October 31 2018, but the federal government extended the amnesty program for two more months to allow more people rectify their status or leave the country with no penalties.

#UAELabours plz help some nationalities like common commas are not doing any good for us bangladeshis. For example, Bengalis are not getting inside visas in ordinary commas. Those who have been banned from visas during this amnesty period at least for clarification. For example, Bangladesh. Many are overstaying but willing to change their status, some of them have companies and employees to offer them jobs. My husband is applying maids visa for the maid I hired in the Phill. Hiwever her employment visa got rejected due to blacklisted (absconding) from previous employer in Abu Dhabi. She returned to Phil last March 2023. Can she apply for amnesty 2024 to lift her ban? My husband is giving her employment visa. from his sponsorship.
