His Shaman Excavate deck and this one has been a surprising amount of fun to me. I love the unpredictability of the excavate a lot, but I never imagined I would ever enjoy DK so much either.

The first game was total annihilation and emotional damage. The paladin was shut down brutally every round.

Paladin is a plus match-up after the nerf so long as you have a crop rotation in hand. Boogie down doesn't give taunt anymore so you can pick and choose your targets leaving their lame eggs on the board doing nothing. Warriors, on the other hand, oof.

Got to legend last knight with rainbow dk from d5 in about 4 hours, absolutely nutty deck, counters pally hard. Only bad matchup is warrior
I’d say it’s fine against warrior, Reno warrior at least, the big counter match up is sludge warlock.
Playing mining casualties on 2 just for the warlock to play sludge on wheels and get 3~5 sludges is brutal,
@@DonQuixoteFan yeah sludge counters the deck quite hard, I guess I try and get a lot of bodies in play and play for like combo tempo so the sludges themselves aren’t as effective. But then leaves us open to aoe. Think I’m 50/50 vs warlock, warrior on the other hand too much removal
Yeah, there was no chance that paladin deck had an answer in the first match. Are there any tools that paladins have to deal with a board like that early anymore? If paladin got nerfed, what about druid and demon hunter?
Horn of the Windlord or buffs + Keeper's strength. I don't think either of those is feasible of turn 5, though - theoretically a paladin might be able to stall out with small taunts or something, but that's pretty unlikely.
If they had something stick around, sure. Keepers and what not. But when dude paladin loses the board they lose.

I just played against a plague dk and he played reska three times. How do you copy that card thrice, or am I missing something?
