I worked at an airport and the person of interest said they "wanted to walk away" is the moment the officers would drop everything, and let them bounce. In theory, continuing to grill the person would only escalate the situation, and if the person was gonna do something nefarious, there would be no reason to set them off to be pissed. The officers would let the person slide instead causing an altercation and having to write an incident report. They could just as easily push the info up the chain of command or to a ops department, the guy would probably have "a folder" on him before he even finished walking out the door. Maybe there are some TSA officers that have a hard-on and want to play pretend cops, but my experience; 8-12 hours of mind numbing interaction with irate passengers has never not totally killed the soul of everyone that has ever worked at an airport.

I have autism and get extreme anxiety in airports. In my country we have lanyards that are recognisable In all airports to show hidden disabilities and why someone may be acting sassy wussy (like me, im not a terrorist, Im just trying not to have a panic attack or meltdown because im overstimulated). Im flying to the US next month and im absolutely terrified that they're gonna see me, notice I look terrified and take me into a room and touch me (which would indeed cause a meltdown) then put me in airport jail haha
Just use the software they have in Vegas that looks at facial ques etc for genuine responses to winning. Apply that to airport security cams watching facial ques and body language. Boom, you’re welcome. 👍🏻

I tried watching it. Characters were unlikable and the writing was very "cheap" feeling. I could see why an actor of Tim Roth's calibre would want an excuse to bail the hell out.
I may be a cynic for this. But I think it was just because it was probably deemed dangerous. You could actually learn from this show. It was probably bad for business.

Well, this show unfortunately came from a line up of shows FOX cancelled after cancelling Family Guy. A lot of really good shows got cancelled after that. Including Firefly(look this one up in case you don't know about the history of FOX making terrible decisions). The Simpsons actually made a joke about this very situation. Family Guy also joked about it in the premier after coming back. Peter did a run down of the shows
First time I saw Tim Roth was a movie Four Rooms. A Quentin T. movie. I just remember at the end of the movie he chopped someone's finger off and walked away. I fell in love with him! Haha!
I'm glad such shows are canceled. They pretend people are the top are protecting everyone and I still distrust among the plebs so we are easier to control, exploit, and manipulate. The only thing that bothered me about this show is that, whether it was intended, it made a bunch of people think this was an actual 'science' when it isn't. There's some stuff to say about subtle changes in facial expressions and body language, but the show takes it to science fiction levels on how they can basically read people's minds. Fantastic show, but people need to watch television w a grain of salt.

Tim Roth is one of the best actors in the world. His role as captain Thade in the 2001 Planet of the Apes film by Tim Burton should’ve won him an Oscar. His second Oscar should have been awarded for his performance in The Legend of 1900. Flawless. Truly one of the best british artists who can brilliantly play ANY role. As was the case of Prof. Lightman in this series. I bow, the man is truly a great actor.

The producers of this show need to continue it with a follow-up season consisting of at least 8 episodes, and no less than 5 subsequent seasons to follow with the same amount of episodes. Due justice, and most deserving of one of the top 10 shows ever created.
I just recently saw a thing where DEA made a guy give them his backpack. He did not consent (he’d already gone through bag check/TSA). Apparently your 4th amendment rights still exist in an airport and you can deny or not consent to search. Which by law they can only do with reasonable suspicion of a crime. The guy they did this to with his backpack was because he purchased a one way ticket to NYC and did it relatively quickly (business emergency came up). But their reasoning was that sometimes people will smuggle drugs this way. Just thought that was interesting when compared to Hollywood interpretations of “authority”.

I love Tim Roth! He's such a great actor. He's usually in movies made by Quentin Tarantino, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, 4 Rooms, just to name a few. If you haven't watched any of these I HIGHLY recommend all of them!
Lie to Me was a great show. I wish it could have continued for at least a couple more seasons. It was an interesting premise, and i like how they would show images of public figures demonstrating the deception techniques.
This is an excellent series. Loved every episode! Would love to watch it again if I can find it! Highly recommend if you like these types of shows. Very well written!

Well, this show unfortunately came from a line up of shows FOX cancelled after cancelling Family Guy. A lot of really good shows got cancelled after that. Including Firefly(look this one up in case you don't know about the history of FOX making terrible decisions). The Simpsons actually made a joke about this very situation. Family Guy also joked about it in the premier after coming back. Peter did a run down of the shows

I'm glad such shows are canceled. They pretend people are the top are protecting everyone and I still distrust among the plebs so we are easier to control, exploit, and manipulate. But after the JFK assassination, WMD, Covid, and Epstein, I think it's fare to say the fish smells from the head. Fascism is a dead end...even from an efficiency point of view. An engine whose gears fit to tightly does not run.
This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I still watch it on Hulu a couple times a week. Never gets old.

The only thing that bothered me about this show is that, whether it was intended, it made a bunch of people think this was an actual 'science' when it isn't. There's some stuff to say about subtle changes in facial expressions and body language, but the show takes it to science fiction levels on how they can basically read people's minds. Fantastic show, but people need to watch television w a grain of salt.

Tim Roth is one of the best actors in the world. His role as captain Thade in the 2001 Planet of the Apes film by Tim Burton should’ve won him an Oscar. His second Oscar should have been awarded for his performance in The Legend of 1900. Flawless. Truly one of the best british artists who can brilliantly play ANY role. As was the case of Prof. Lightman in this series. I bow, the man is truly a great actor.

Another 9/11 could happen tomorrow and TSA ain’t gonna stop anything. They serve no real purpose or function. The people stopping terrorist are the NSA, FBI, CIA and whatever other bullshit agencies like them. They fixed the issue of inter-agency communication/cooperation that caused 9/11 in the first place. Now these agencies are constantly sharing information. 9/11 happened because all these agencies wanted to be known as the agencies that stopped 9/11. Like just imagine the level of fame and notoriety that agency would’ve gotten had they stopped 9/11. They’d been seen as bigger than Hollywood super stars. Everyone loves the SEALs for killing bin Laden. Everyone knows about SEAL team 6. So none of them shared any information and all of them knew an attack was gonna occur on US Soil but the rest of the information was divided up between the agencies. Had they shared information they would’ve seen the bigger picture. What the full plan was. Instead they kept to themselves and they allowed the worst attack to ever occur on American soil. If there’s one thing you can be sure about and count on it’s that government is incompetent to high hell and back
The producers of this show need to continue it with a follow-up season consisting of at least 8 episodes, and no less than 5 subsequent seasons to follow with the same amount of episodes. Due justice, and most deserving of one of the top 10 shows ever created.
I just recently saw a thing where DEA made a guy give them his backpack. He did not consent (he’d already gone through bag check/TSA). Apparently your 4th amendment rights still exist in an airport and you can deny or not consent to search. Which by law they can only do with reasonable suspicion of a crime. The guy they did this to with his backpack was because he purchased a one way ticket to NYC and did it relatively quickly (business emergency came up). But their reasoning was that sometimes people will smuggle drugs this way. Just thought that was interesting when compared to Hollywood interpretations of “authority”.

For the comments that stare its fiction only, I know of 2 brothers who are brilliant minds, 1 got accepted to do an actuarial degree but decided living care free life was the better option. So yes, this series is fiction but there are actual real life cases similar to this

I love Tim Roth! He's such a great actor. He's usually in movies made by Quentin Tarantino, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, 4 Rooms, just to name a few. If you haven't watched any of these I HIGHLY recommend all of them!

Lie to Me was a great show. I wish it could have continued for at least a couple more seasons. It was an interesting premise, and i like how they would show images of public figures demonstrating the deception techniques.
Why did they ever end the show? Such endless possibilities to learn. Love the show. Suited Tim Roth perfectly.

2. Same guy running all the accounts and is too lazy to change tracks.
It's a way to avoid copyright, since you can essentially watch an entire movie in these clips.
