This video is too good, just have one query how can we make seedling of salvia? Please reply.
thanks.. can we sown salvia in may?
hi! can i plant the seeds straight up in the big pot? not like what u did like transferring it to the big pot? does it make any difference? thank u i hope u can answer
When sowing Salvia seeds.. should they be under the sun or in the shade before germanation?
Can I plant this in my room balcony or is it too huge for that? And can I directly plant the seed in the pot?
I need help germinating my salvia splendens. I have tried many rounds, and I only managed to get one to germinate. :(
Temperature here is 77F-90F on most days. I stay in tropical climate as well.
Can I grow more flowers from cuttings or do I need to get more seeds?
😊
I have just planted some selvia seedlings yesterday now pls say how to take care of seedlings? shal i keep my pot under sunlight or in shade?
@Paramita Ghosh, Please keep the in shade for next 2-4 days and then you can keep under morning sunlight for 2-4 hours. Almost after 10-12 days, you can keep anywhere you like :-) Good luck :-)
Can I grow these from seeds now as of 26 Nov?
After flowering is over will the salvia plant die or is this plant a perennial?
Its very good video.. Do they require pinching?
@Susmita Dutta, Thank you So So much for your feedback, appreciate it :-) Not really, you can just prune them bit hard once first flowering is done and next they would produce more shoots and more flowers :-) Salvia is quite a good winter flowering plant, doesn't need too much care. All it needs is lots of water and minimum 4-5 hours of direct sunlight for heavy flowering :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat thank you
My name is Salvia 😮
Do you pinch your salvias once they have some pairs of leaves? Or just leave them to grow?
@Chelsea Francis, I just let them grow and do only deadheading when flowers are already spent. Salvias are hardy and we can prune them easily. Thank you for watching the video :-)
upload a video on plants that blooms only in 2 hours of direct sunlight.
Do both cow dung manure and dap fertiliser should be used together or using only dap will be enough?
@Fareesa, DAP is more than enough and same way, if you use cow dung manure, no need to use DAP. Thank you for watching :-)
Hi, how long does a salvia seed emerge? I’ve had mine for 9 days but I still don’t see any sprouts :(
@Marielle Cariño, Whenever I sow, they usually germinate within 9-10 days but sometimes they take more time as well. Since it's 9 days, I believe you can wait few more days :-) I would try to do a video about it. Good luck :-)
Seedlings need warmth to germinate prob about 20 Celsius should germinate within couple of weeks
Does this work for Salvia Superba too?
@Tommaso Casolari, Sure it would and thank you for watching the video :-)
Brother do salvia leaves droop during night? My salvia plant leaves droop during night but again straighten in the morning .why does this happen? Please tell me
@SINHARAY10, interestingly they do and it's absolutely normal. Many other plants do the same like Tomato, Brinjal (depends on variety), oxalis etc. I believe it's their mechanism to fight against the pests. Droopy leaves means, less portion of leaves is exposed to pests. There is a problem when you see droopy leaves in daytime. During night, no worry and hope you get lots of blooms this season. Good luck :-)
Can we plant it in straight up compost ?
@Abdulla Jabr, Won't be good idea and they may not bloom so well because of too much nitrogen. Thank you :-)
Gardening Upbeat ok thx :)
can i grow these in rainy season in Mumbai, India??
@Juanna, Sowing seeds in September or October would be perfect :-)
Is this salvia divinorium
Can dap be used in all winter flowers
@Shilpa Mittal, YES, can be used but plz use it carefully...Good luck :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat thanks
Do salvias needs pinching?
@Arnab Das, thank you for your question. Nah, not needed and they would do well without pinching. However, you can keep doing deadheading procedure so that plant looks neat and clean. I have a video if you are interested - ruclips.net/video/FatHBtafPPQ/видео.html Thanks again :-)
Pot ka buy link dedo bhai
my salvia leaves are turning black and falling off
why????
Does salvia needs pinching?
@Puja Srivastava, Not needed, doing deadheading on regular basis is more than enough. Thank you for watching ☺️
Cutting se growth hota hain kya
Sure, Hota hai...Lekin please dhyaan rakhiye kyuoki ye mainly Winter season plant hai :-) All the best!
In which month salvia can grown from seeds ??
@Knots and Stiches, We can sow the seeds when nigh time temp is around 20°C (68°F) and in India they are grown as Winter flowering plant. Best time to sow seeds is September end. However, they manage to bloom in Summer as well.
Are it is summer plant or winter plant
Mainly grown as Winter Flowering plant...but they can still can be grown in Summer if temp is not too high..
Can I plant the seed right now in Delhi or should I wait till sept end
@Nalin Bassi, September would be ideal, thank you :-)
What is The season of Salvia?
@Suhail Gour, Winter...but bloom easily till May-June. Of course it would depends on temperature as well. Thank you :-)

@Dahlia Antone, first of all truly sorry for late reply. I already have one video where I covered everything about Growing Marigold (from seedlings to flowering). I am going to upload that video in 24 hours and provide you the link. Just the editing part is remaining and I would complete it in 24 hours. Thank you :-)

When we grow salvia seeds
Sept month, thank you!
Is this DMT?
Is this eatable herb
My seeds are not sprouting
Hi @ Buhay Probinsya, sorry to know that seeds are not germinating. There are many varieties and the one which I grew, do well in Winter season (in India). We can sow the seeds when temperature is around 25°C (77°F). Currently, if the temperature in your place is favorable to Salvias, definitely you can grow them. Perhaps, you can try once again. Just spread the seeds and then cover them with a thin layer of potting soil mix you are using. Then, use a spray bottle to dampen the entire top surface and hopefully this time they would greminate. Good Luck :-)
vhen is salvia sovn
Is salvia annual or perennial?
Perennial..though if summer temp is quite high, they may not survive. Up to 35 degree Celsius, no problem.
@@GardeningUpbeat ok
Thank you
Can we get high from this plant
Bro you planted so little plant in such a big pot..its not the right way..gradually we should increase size. Roots could have rooten.
@Rajeevraj1995, Well, I don't have that much time to keep changing the pots. Have been growing plants similar way from last many more years..no any issue. If you are getting issues, please continue with your own process. There is no hard and fast rule in gardening. If something is working for you, keep continuing. Thank you!
@@GardeningUpbeat yes..nice video btw
