Well just like the Shrewsbury game, its the Baldwin show in defence- header against the bar- Baldwin "marking", the slip over (Baldwin), their 4th goal (Baldwin was marking him but fell for his dummy), the second peno (Baldwin short pass 6 yards from our goal when it needed clearing) and he was outmuscled for their final header too. If we dont have some new defenders who can defend next year will be a real struggle. I hope our talented players dont move away as we need them next season. COYP

Baldwin is an embarrassment to the role "defender". How did he climb the leagues to this level? He's slow, not very sharp upstairs and doesn't even have the power to at least be a brick wall. He's just... Nothing. He offers nothing at all.
As frustrating as the first slip is, I find Baldwin’s reaction even more annoying in the third goal. As soon as Boston’s challenge goes amiss and the ball runs through why does he stop dead and appeal for the offside with his arms in the air?? It gives the player the advantage he needs to get round him and put it in the net. This defense simply isn’t playing with the urgency or drive that they should be showing.
Jeez watching it back worse than in person. Baldwin slips - goal, Baldwin pokes out a leg - goal, Baldwin fails to clear his lines - penalty goal, Baldwin turned easily in area - goal, Baldwin plays 2 yard pass in area - Penalty. I dont even think im being overly harsh
A lot of talk on here about Notts poor defending (mostly justified), but no recognition of Stockport County’s quality and intensity that caused much of it; the Hatters are the top scorers this season in League 2, but according to every opposition manager and supporter, they’ve scored precisely zero goals other than those gifted them by opponents ‘…defensive mistakes’, and ‘…poor defending’.
@@elaineblackhurst1509Stockport were fantastic and the best team I've seen at Meadow Lane by far this season but our defenders make stupid basic errors literally every single game. It's why we've slipped into this position in the league.

@@Jack-tk3ub they had plenty of other chances and looked like scoring every time they attacked or got a set piece. We had a good spell after the subs came on until their fifth goal but were outclassed otherwise.
A very serious wake up call for our woners, this is the standar they have to aspire to. I'd rather them spend that money on a new back four rather than the under sol heating which will not be attached to a boiler yet, a bit like our defenders, feet not connected to their brains.

Need a clear out stone,slocombe, morias,randall,toby,bajarami,and mr B.T. man, with bostock who slows it up with his sideways passing and 36 year old mcgoldrick

Our defence is an embarassment mate, we have scored 88 goals this season but conceded 85, an amazing 'stat'.
