I recently learned that Levi Coffin is from the same area in NC where my family was enslaved. There's evidence that Giles Newton (owned my 5th great-grandma, Matilda Newton) married his children into neighboring Quaker families. The Newton's knew Levi Coffin and may have been working in support of the underground railroad. HIstory is awe-inspiring when you place your family members in it💯

I just found out I am also a descendent of Levi Coffin. I started looking him up online and I love knowing he was such an amazing man!
