I have a 1914 Napanee. Beautiful original glass. A guy was using it in his garage for paint mixing but, luckily only a little bit had paint on it. Got it for a song.
    Excellent inside but, rough outside.
S.O.S and some elbow grease got it cleaned up and some furniture oil put it in beautiful condition with some areas with the finish off but, making it look authentic.
Being short the countertop workspaces can be a bit high for me. My hoosier makes working so much easier from chopping, dicing, to just everyday kitchen work so much easier.
And this little cabinet packs stuff in without being junky but, well organized. Spices, knives, kitchen gadgets, mixer, pots and pans and bakeware. One compact cabinet vs. several cupboards to place things in in a modern kitchen.
Plus I have to separate butcher blocks that pull out from under the workspace part. Nice size butcher blocks.
You could rip out all the cabinets and counterspace in a modern kitchen and put in two Hoosiers and probably come close to organized putting away of everything that took several cabinets.
And it takes a minute to clean up.
Hoosiers are one the most clever things dreamed up for its style, practicality, ease of use and clean up,storing space, ect.
A dream to work on and with It is the most practical thing

I've wanted one badly for years! I found one I wanted so much, but couldn't afford it at that time.

I have one that my grandmother had gotten second hand when she got married in 1949. It was green when I was a kid but they had it refurbished in the ‘80s and it is stained wood. The badge says Monarch Kitchen Cabinets. Would anyone know anything else about that company? I can’t find a date or anything else.

I think they may be having a come back.
Months ago I moved into a place that has a smaller kitchen with little cabinet/counter space... I've spent the past 5 months researching & searching for the perfect Hoosier cabinet for me. I can tell you they don't last long for sale.
Finally snatched mine up yesterday, it had just been listed for sale , I was there picking it up in 1.5hr!
I'm loving it so much and feel lucky to have found one in such great original condition with it's accessories.

We salvaged one recently that had been my husband’s grandmother’s milk house and then in a family member’s storage building. It was made by Schierich in Louisville, KY. It has plastic knobs that we think are probably original and a wood countertop, which we think is probably original as well.

I have a 2 piece set. Was it typical to be a solid unit? What's the best avenue to find a buyer for mine?

Do you have a link to a video of one in use? Or better yet, a video of one in use in a household today?
