I am 34 from Seattle and this matters because i was there in 92 I saw em all Nirvana, pearl jam, sound garden and these guys and wow they put on the coolest psychedelic show wow ,I was pretty high but it was good! it was on singles sound track i know they filmed that movie here
Yes I know, but he plays this one quite differently (some fills) and it ameliorates the song (which I like originally too!) Could you please put Porcelina on RUclips, because I'd got it on video tape, but I can't find it.... And I find this Porcelina very beautiful!! Pleaaseeeee!!! lol!
Does anybody have the Porcelina version which come after Drown in that live? Jimmy rocks!!! This version is better than the original, mostly because of the drums I think!!!
I don't mean to burst anyones bubble but you guys do realize that this isn't the new Pumpkins. It's from their 2000 tour. you can because Mellisa Auf De Maur is playing bass and the wonderfull man playing the rythm guitar is one Mr James Iha.
too bad the "old, true pumpkins" you refer to is 90% Corgan and Chamberlain. It's time to appreciate what you have, and leave the past behind. I know, we all fall in love with certain "image".
I think the problem is that Billy thinks he is better then he is.. In the early days he used all his time practicing and perfecting new songs. He had something to prove you might say.. After SP was huge, he thinks its easy to make great songs and is therefore not making them ;)
Best song ever. Everything about it is just... perfect.
the intro is just very sad and beautiful... brings back memories
one of the all time best rock songs I dont care what anyone says.
What a tune! Havent heard in years! Great version too! Thanks for hosting
JC is just the best on those drums..listen to the jazz music he's playing...what a swinging cat.
I went to high school those exazt same years. I had the Singles album. We were probably both being "grunge" at different times and different places.
Fave song ever!
Cheers, didn't know Billy still rocked his Fernandes in the Machina era.
I agree Foozer...the best SP song by far!!!
this is great!!! i really prefer this over this over the album.

I have it
great song. it is also on the greatest hits album.
truer words have never been spoken
Fernandes Decade V-1 to be more specific. Has a 'sustainer' pick up on it that you can turn on and it acts like a built in e-bow. Cool stuff.
beautiful
The bass is louder than the guitars. :(
But this is one of the best SP songs.
Very fast reply! ^_^ Thanks, where did you find it?
The Blue's so sweet!
2 Smashing Pumpkins is better than 0 Smashing Pumpkins!
Especially for us younger fans who never got to see them first time round.
I never seen Billy and his pumpkins live and there from Chicago where I live go figure
sweet!!
where is this from?!
i think there are better versions out there but i saw this tour and loved it!! great vid thx & rock on!
soundtrack from the movie Singles :)

It is from Paris 2000 ;)
smasheville dot com is for pumpkins fans and corgan lovers to share video, audio, etc. about the band
Well.. In my opinion it`s nice that a live version of a song isn`t exactly like the original version.. ;)
Wow.... this performance is TIGHT. I assume this is the Machina tour? Anyone know the exact show?
none.. its on the soundtrak for the movie Singles :)
I got the whole concert ;)
downloaded from somewhere.. cant remember :) ive got the whole consert.. check out my video of 1979 to :)
What concert was this? I didn't think they would've played this during the Machina era.
Yeah, and that's Charlie Brown on guitar and vocals.
I did that because they started directly on the next song.. You hear a change just before I cut it.. Thats the next song (think it is Porcelina)
what...you've never heard of the Samshing Pupmkins?
The studio version is awesome. This one is better thx to Melissa, that bass roxXx
I have the whole consert.. Jimmy play in the original too ;)
This song is great, also Disarm or Landslide.
I think the album Adore is the best ever.
no comment. real pumpkins were in 1993.
The pumpkins-sound disappeared after Billy stopped working with Butch Vig (after Siamese)
I agree with Foozer1
Samshing?
yah
its Paris 2000

Sa c'est du son PUMPKINS......
I think the problem is that Billy thinks he is better then he is.. In the early days he used all his time practicing and perfecting new songs. He had something to prove you might say.. After SP was huge, he thinks its easy to make great songs and is therefore not making them ;)
Paris 2000
