That blue wool would definitely make a statement coat, but I'd never think of it as too much. It's such a beautiful blue, and I'd think a good coat in that fabric would be something you wouldn't tire of, because it's such a bright pick-me-up color in what can often be a drab season full of darker tones.

I love Fabricland in Bournemouth, probably my favourite in person place when I want great value fabric. I've bought a few great remnants too. As you say they have an amazing range of printed cottons, lots of dance/swimwear fabric and other fabrics too and ones you don't see "everywhere". I love your choices. If you want good value online I'd recommend Pound Fabrics, they have some amazing bargains. The very cheapest - £1 a metre etc can be the low quality end but not always, a fried got some lovely polyester at £1.75 a metre and anything £3-4 and above is usually great. Pound fabrics are responsible for a large amount of my stash!!
Ahhh I literally bought a huge fabric order from pound fabrics a few weeks ago and love them so much!! I agree that they’re amazing and very good price wise. Maybe I should do a fabric haul from them too? Xx
Fabricland has a great selection of many types of fabric. Shame the one in Portsmouth shutdown as it was an easier one for me. With the blue swirly fabric you could make the Donny shirt by Friday pattern company with the City shorts also Friday pattern company. Franklin's in Salisbury is a good place for fabrics, sewing machines in fact all sewing stuff. Great Vlog Tammy thank you😊

I usually buy online for FabricLand. I did visit the store in Bristol but was debating the Bournemouth store as it’s roughly the same distance to both for me. The Bournemouth store looks nicer. The cotton is very good quality for the price.

Ah that’s so cool! It’s my local fabric land too, what a small world! Ahhh the robe image was just off Pinterest as inspiration so don’t have a specific pattern recommendation for that style ❤️
