exactly. at the worst time of my life, their music was so relatable, and them combined with Taylor Swift truly saved my life. I don't think I'd be here without those 3. They gave me hope and will to love during a time in which I didn't want to.
It's not just that. Tyler is an actual poet when addressing those issues. While many other bands repeat themselves in their mental health themes to the point of being generic, Tyler has top-tier worldplay, clever metaphors, and is very creative overall in how he talks about his themes
@@strigers8007 indeed! when we feel something and can't put it into words, it's easy to believe we're alone in our struggle. but then someone else finds a way to not only express those same feelings, but also turn them into something beautiful, and that's when we feel connected.
This was a great summary of why Twenty One Pilots has been so successful. They also just seem to really love performing live, and that energy hypes the crowd and fans even more. Been listening to this band since 2015, and they have been a major inspiration for me in so many ways.
My first concert was during Trench when they performed in Hamburg. I had to go there all alone cause it was a birthday or Christmas gift from my parents and just buying two tickets for the case that I find someone who wants to come with me was just too expensive. So I had a seat really far away from the stage, went there fully dressed in my selfmade jumpsuit with yellow stripes painted on and right infront of me were two dudes just chatting, drinking beer and on their phones (why were they even there?) but at least behind me were some people that enjoyed being there as much as I did. I was so sad that I wasn’t even able to see them even on the big screens but then, you know Tyler when he performs, it seemed almost as he tried to be close to everyone at least once. Running and walking through every tunnel, every door, climbing poles and so on. I sat right next to one of the doors and I was sooo happy when he just casually walked right by me. I love a bunch of bands and musicians, one even ‚stayed by my side‘ since I was a little kid, but I’ve never found another band that is so unique, I mean they literally save(d) lives, they’re fun to watch when they upload videos of themselves just doing weird and funny things and the whole story that’s been going on for years now and no end of it in sight they just keep giving us parts of the story and with every song and every clue they give us it continues on and on and makes so many people happy. I had some people coming up to me like „yeah, but this band does this too and this band as well“ and I’m like „it’s not the same. I know other bands also care about their fans of course but Twenty One Pilots are just different“ and that’s what I love so much about our little beans❤
This is very accurate. I'm not a huge fan actually, I only know the blurry face album. However, I saw them live at Leeds fest forever ago and it's probably still the best concert I've been to
I kinda love that after tours, they disappear to be normal people and live a life. Then one day the socials wake up and it's a great insane ride again with the Clique
as a die-hard fan of twenty one pilots, this really makes me happy because twenty one pilots is like the normal person in the middle of the party that people talk to, but aren’t really interested in the conversation.
I really don't know any band like twenty one pilots- they're one of a kind. I'm glad they exist. Tyler's songs have all seriously resonated with me and made me feel understood. My favourite band of all time and like 40% of my personality at least lol.
I got into tøp during a very dark part of my life, I think just how relatable some of Tyler's lyrics are about mental health and the struggle really just drew me in. Not many artists back then really attacked that topic head on, but they did it wonderfully. On top of that they're just so catchy and.. well.. good! They can make you dance, cry, rap like you're crazy, and make you feel special. I went to the icy tour and it was the biggest room that felt like a family ever. Everyone was sharing tape, stories about their life, and it was just the greatest experience of my life. I'll always be behind tøp and the clique, they're my home. Beautiful video man ❤
'we're twenty one pilots and so are you' loved this! a lot of videos i've seen about them recently have kinda ignored scaled and icy or just been negative about it so appreciated that you highlighted some cool moments from those shows and how it links into the narrative.
Why they were able to maintain their well deserved status you may ask? Because twenty one pilots arent just a band. Its an art formthat cannot ever be duplicated. Its not just albums or songs. Its a continous story. Its heart. Its soul. Its tyler josephs creative one of a kind mind. It goes so so so much deeper than just numbers of streams.
I was nodding my head in agreement throughout the entire video. I am obsessed with this band and I'm a 50+ year old mom who drives her daughter crazy quoting lyrics. Their next tour can't come too soon!
I remember this band growing up. Heathens and stressed out were on the radio, none stop. My friend was also obsessed with car radio, tear in my heart and ride. So I knew them. But brushed them off as having 1 or 2 good songs. Like most kids, I just liked pop / npc music and never got into 1 artist. Shyaway and level of concern piqued my interest. Then they did outside. So put them on my list to listen to. Eventually, I stuck on the album trench. Jumpsuit blew me away. I'm a you me at six fan / nothing but thieves. So Jumpsuit hit hard. Now fast forward 1 year, and I'm obsessed with all their albums and bought tickets to see my first show
Oh my god I still remember when they began broke the hiatus. Wild ass day. The wait for trench was so worth it and it’s incredible that they have such a dedicated fan base that they were able to keep them over those 5 years. Their stage energy has always been so incredible and I think that’s a big part of their success. You can go back to old videos of Tyler performing to groups of 15-20 people and his energy was still so intense and unique. 10/10 video, concise and got all the points down. Severely underrated.
They are just some of the funniest guys out there! I could scroll for hours watching the interviews and funny videos they have recorded over the years!
these two men single-handedly pulled me out of the darkest time in my life. their lyrics comforted me and gave me a sense of belonging when i had literally no one. i owe so much to them. i will forever adore what theyre doing and ive had the new album on repeat haha
Keep up the amazing work, just watched both of your videos. Came from the “music videos are dead” video, but I also love twenty one pilots. Excited for the new album!
twenty ones pilots’ story with their songs (blurry face-clancy) is just so incredibly beautiful. knowing the lore and the meaning behind the story lines has honestly made me respect their music even more
Great video! I've been following the boys since I discovered Guns for Hands on my Pandora in 2012 and when you said the a first time listener would have a hard time explaining their sound, I get that. It was love at first sound for me. Thank you for the video, we really are a different breed of fans ❤
,My favorite band of all time ❤❤ You did a great job my friend, I loved this video so much, keep it up and keep making videos and one day you will be very famous that's for sure 👍🏻
So hyped to finally see them next year in europe. My brother and i waited so long for them to come over here. Also so hyped for the new Album drop on friday. This is more exiting than christmas and birthday together - i kinda feel like a child again, never thought i could have such an exitement again! I love their music so much. They helped us so much... |-/ Thanks for your video!
First off, AMAZING video,, but something I’ve been thinking about about recently is all the lore with Taylor swift. I’ve seen her fans talk so much about all these details that she hides while TOP has been doing it for A DECADE. I remember the horrifically exhausting level of concern hunt on discord and I have never seen a community work so hard and solve so much in such a short period of time
Thank Goodness for this concise explanation of the who, what, why’s of TØP. I can refer people to this video. This will save me years of attempts to explain this band I love so much is. ❤
i connect through music - to people, to my own emotions, etc. i found tøp when i was 12 years old, clicking on an interesting youtube thumbnail and never having listened to music outside the charts. now at almost 21, i have truce lyrics tattooed on me for almost a year - it's my second tattoo with a concept behind it. i never really cared for scaled and icy but my god, did they help me through my teen years. they made me actually connect to other people, who have to this day, stayed my closest friends and it just all feels so personal. they really are so special in the way that tyler still shares clique art on his insta story and is just a funny and unserious, and REAL person, and that's what makes it so,,,, believable. and the music was and still is dope hehe
I've been a huge fan of ToP for roughly a decade now. Finally going to one of their concerts come this fall, but the amount of merch I have from them that I will refuse to give up is crazy lol
Forever will love top and i am so thankful that I found them. Their songs and lyrics have always felt so relatable and resonated with me, ill always be thankful for them. Stay alive y'all
i think the feeling of belonging is the best part of twenty one pilots. the relatable lyrics that touch on important topics, the "we're twenty one pilots and so are you" as you said, FPE standing for "the few, the proud, the emotional" back in Blurryface era, the bandito theme that you mentioned, the clique supporting each other, supporting the boys, and the boys supporting them back. the lyrics describing Tyler's feelings and issues while being vague enough for a lot of people to identify with them. if you have mental health problems, you feel like a misfit, you are welcomed to the music and the clique and you just stay there. they've kinda capitalized on mental issues if you think about it, but they're helping people. thanks to them i've found some group where i belong, i've healed, and i've stayed a fan for years. they're amazing.
Very well said. I wouldn’t want to say they capitalized on mental health issues when Tyler has delt with them himself and talks from personal experience but they are absolutely helping people!
I love this band. So damn much. They’ve helped me get through some incredibly hard times in my life, and I will forever be thankful. Their song “My Blood,” is the most sacred song in the world to me. I found it just after my older brother died, and it’s been a big part of my everyday life since.
It’s crazy how it started with one die heart man and his dream. He has saved people’s lives and talks about his and others mental health problems I love this band so much and will never stop.
This video just made me cry once again. I love them so much and listening to them watching their videos and everything else just brings me so much joy I cried happy tears a thousand times and just get this happy joyful kind of hyperactive feeling kinda like the flappy hands for autistic people but on the inside. I just want to share with everyone how amazing these two dudes are and how much joy I feel. Feeling happiness for a long period of time or even longer than a few minutes has become really hard for me. Painting pictures and making music or just being creative used to make me happy for a long time but due to my depression I’m happy if something brings me joy for just a day but Twenty One Pilots honestly were THE ONE TOPIC that never gave up on me. I can have the worst day and as soon as I see Tyler and Josh talking absolute nonsense in a short video I already feel so much better. Luckily I never thought of really doing the step to selfharm or worse but if I did they would be able to stop me for real. People that don’t know them or just listen to Stressed Out or Heathens don’t know how much power this music has for the clique. Stay alive |-/💛🩷🩵
I have gone to every LA concert they’ve done since blurry face. I go to a lot of different band’s concerts and the boys are the best at keeping us engaged from the moment they go on stage until the end of the show. The fan base is amazing. I feel so connected to everyone and we all make it a point to be kind to each other while there. It’s just a great time without drama and a way to connect to others. I’m so happy to be a member of the clique. ❤🖤
Well done video, although I’m fairly new to this band as of 2021, one thing that drew me to this band is their uniqueness and message. I’m so hyped for Clancy 🔥
Thank you for this video! I was lucky to see them twice in new orleans. The energy in their show, and how they interact with their audience make you feel a part of the show. I am 69 years old and love this band!!
@@onqueueisgoodit really was!! 🔥🔥I can’t stop listening to it and I can’t wait till the new album drops!! Words can’t describe how much I love Twenty One Pilots and the community as a whole!!🥰🥰
These men, are the two out of the 3 to 6 people in all of the music industry and world who inspire me to keep going, "stay alive" and follow my dreams. They are also the only two people who really make me along with everyone else in their fanbase feel less like a crowd and a lot more like- people, friends, no matter how big the venue is.
On the concert that did the light show I was on the right side of the stadium and it was amazing everyone worked together to do it and some people even let kids on there shoulders so they can be seen
I have been listening to twenty one pilots since I was 11, and 6 years later I know every word to every single song by heart, and currently adding Clancy to my mental playlist of TØP. This band has gotten me through the darkest points in my life, and I know it will continue to with my upcoming adult years. I will never grow out of this band ❤

oh thats a video about my favorite band on my recommended :'] in all honesty u nailed them and their relationship with the fanbase! and as a clikkie ur summary of the lore was pretty accurate!
This is a great video - finally someone who highlights this absolute unit of a band. „Truce“ was my wake-up call during a really bad time where I heavily struggled with all kinds of psychological torment and this song… it just tore right through it and gave me hope and strength as cheesy as that might sound. They literally helped me „stay alive“. I’m so thankful to be still here today… and to be able to see them live next year. On to new and beautiful experiences, clique. 🖤
This was a great Video! I learned new stuff, remembered and saw a good summary of things I already know. And it wasnt too long. A great Video where I would say everyone from the clique would agree
I love camping and waiting with everyone to get into the pit. We have a tradition of giving everything we have to the homeless in the area. Since most shows are at arenas their sadly is a vast homeless community, so we the clique giving them everything we have before we go into the show. Tents, blankets, tarps, waters, food even board games since we wait for hours. We take care of each other too.
Stay alive clique

Well done video, although I’m fairly new to this band as of 2021, one thing that drew me to this band is their uniqueness and message. I’m so hyped for Clancy 🔥
Thank you for this video! I was lucky to see them twice in new orleans. The energy in their show, and how they interact with their audience make you feel a part of the show. I am 69 years old and love this band!!
They are still so underrated!! Thank you for this video ❤. You said it very well!
Love twenty one pilots, love Tyler Joseph and love Josh Dun. Great work on the video and can’t wait for the new album and concerts!
Thanks! The new single was incredible 🔥
Incredible video essay on my favourite bsnd. Great storytelling, and analysis!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This channel is underrated
Great video, thank you!
TWENTY ONE PILOTS HAS BEEN MY FAVORITE BANDS SINCE THEIR FIRST ALBUM AND I STILL LISTEN TO THEM WITH MY DAD THANK YOU FOR COVERING THEM
I didn't know that Twenty one Pilots had a Slipknot-level crowd control, but it makes so much sense given their history. They're just great
This video and channel are so underrated! Amazing job!
Thank you!
Thanks for making this video and references, man. Means a lot.
Bro, I love their music! It's just so epic :D

My favorite band since 2015. I love seeing such well made documentations of them!! Great work!

On the concert that did the light show I was on the right side of the stadium and it was amazing everyone worked together to do it and some people even let kids on there shoulders so they can be seen
i love twenty one pilots so much, favorite band since 2015
Goated band!
@@onqueueisgoodgreat video mate!
@catagyu thank you!
Love your content! I spend most of my time on youtube watching similar documentaries and i look forward to many more videos from this channel. You've gained a new subscriber!!
That’s awesome! Thanks so much!
this is so great, well done!

This is amazing! Twenty One Pilots is my favorite music group of all time. Your summary of the storyline was accurate and extremely well done btw :D
Thank you I appreciate it!
I LOVE TØP WOOOO
such a good video man, inspires me to make stuff about them like this too soon.
This was really well done. You are an amazing RUclipsr and you need more recognition ❤. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it
oh thats a video about my favorite band on my recommended :']
in all honesty u nailed them and their relationship with the fanbase! and as a clikkie ur summary of the lore was pretty accurate!
Glad you enjoyed it that’s awesome
The TOP edit in the beginning goes so hard
Clancy released a couple weeks ago. They still dropping bangers
Not cheesy at all. Very happy for you 🙏
That was an awesome video! Congrats!
Thank you!
Bro, they have a story they’ve been telling for over a decade…. And nobody has gotten tired or it…😂😂😂
Solid video :) keep it up 👍
glad to have been apart of this fanbase since 2015, i still listen to them on a daily and i dont think ill ever get tired of them.
great video!
Amazing editing on this vid!
Thanks!
Interesting. Thank you for making this. It seems all people really want is someone to connect with and to be understood.
I felt this comment 100%
I always loved them
Tøp has saved me i cant lie! Their lyrics speak so so much to me especially since tyler and josh became friends just for their passion for music!
Amazing video dude, keep it up, keep posting and go viral!:)
Thanks man! I will try!
I don’t usually like videos, but this video is so underrated and I can tell there was a lot of thought put into this, so this deserves a like for me!
Thanks so much for that
This was a great Video! I learned new stuff, remembered and saw a good summary of things I already know. And it wasnt too long. A great Video where I would say everyone from the clique would agree
Thank you! 🙏
And now we have Clancy, such a good album and continuation of the story
Nice video!!
Inspiring
I love camping and waiting with everyone to get into the pit. We have a tradition of giving everything we have to the homeless in the area. Since most shows are at arenas their sadly is a vast homeless community, so we the clique giving them everything we have before we go into the show. Tents, blankets, tarps, waters, food even board games since we wait for hours. We take care of each other too.
That’s amazing
