Glad you could make it! Today I tell the story of a well-respected musician and how he didn’t take the traditional route most artists take once they’ve been recognized. Sometimes the customer isn’t always right in the eyes of the owner. Wow. The support on the last video was insane. I’m honestly speechless with the reception it has gotten and that just motivates me to work even harder. Thank yo...

In today's video, I talk about the decline in music videos in recent years. I go over examples of artists' music videos struggling to compare to their catalog from a few years ago ranging from Drake, Adele, and Post Malone. Timestamps: 1:35 Pt. I - Times have changed. 3:40 Pt. II - Short-form is now king. 5:50 Pt. III - How the mighty have fallen 8:36 Pt. IV - Don't let the flame die out. 11:12...
Well, that ban was short
lmfao 😂
Nothing
The big 3 music conglomerates unhealthy obsession with dynamic range compression has helped ruin music. You can kinda hear there's clipping going on in the music
Bro changed the thumbnail when Kid Again came out
Who cares. Not important
Ik you did not put Doja on this🙄
Imma be so real, TikTok ruined attention spans, trends and so much. Short form content helped so much, but Jesus Christ, our culture has become as attention deficit as my ass in 6th grade
This ban aint stopping me from doing what I do. I needed to up my numbers on here more instead of focusing on Spotify only anyways. I hope all artists that see this find success 💪🏽 keep pushin
Alright, somebody copy the platform and name it Toktik or KitKot
One thing that will definitely happen is ppl won’t be able to make my favorite songs and artist basic and abosultely ravage them 😊 ppl will now have to be themselves and find music they like on their own
Tiktok makes it harder for good music to blow
I'm thinking 2 things: People will either go back to finding music through other social media apps OR another app like TikTok will gain traction and blow up like tiktok did. People always find ways to get back what they once had.. Everyone must've forgot but Vine started it all, even tho it was mostly for funny skits, music was also discovered on there. Then musically took over which turned into TikTok and here we are.
So few, so proud, so emotional Hello Clancy
I’m excited for this in a way, because I’m an upcoming artist and my videos haven’t gotten as much traction, so maybe they finally will. 😢
Keep trying to stand out in your own way. People will have to get much more creative after the ban.
@ Thank you, I appreciate your support!! <3 ^_^
@@Ghost_Waifu best of luck to you! I wish the best!
@ You too hon!! <3 ^_^
What people don’t understand is that TikTok made having a music career accessible. You didn’t need labels anymore or money for big marketing campaigns. This is going to make things a lot harder for smarter artists and make people need labels again which is not good since they notoriously screw artists over.
I’m not big on making gimmicky music so hopefully this will be the shift my music needs🙏🏽
Yooo Dontai reacted to your video
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! That's crazy
i bet the day of the ban is going to arrive and they will postpone it again
The best possible thing that could happen to music industry! Let's just hope it will help the industry to take a step back, even if just a little bit...
Well, that’s a true “democratic” decision to ban Tik tok lol
Now IG has the best short ,to become the largest shorts/reels platform
independent full scale solo artists will rise up 🫡🤘
personally twenty one pilots sweeps but great video
Fuck any efforts to even watch one second of this video. Music will continue even now for TikTok disappears if it even does. How was this even a question?
Chat gpt ahh script
NPC ahh comment
there are lots of singers that without tiktok would've never gotten a successful career, it will truly change the music industry if it really gets banned.
it is banned
Finally sped up music can finally die
First of all, it's only getting banned in the U.S... the rest of the world care less.... Secondly, VPN is there for you 😂😂😂
This will be a Great thing for Pop music as artist will have to make more music and start putting effort into the music they make again.
I was never a tiktok guy and I never liked the idea of a small part of a song getting promoted. I mean, it's clever for sure, but I get burned easily, so if I heard the same part of a song over and over again I'd go insane. I managed to avoid all that last year that I discovered much more new music than I ever did. Obviously that wasn't the main reason, but it kinda ruins a song for me if I hear a section of it multiple times due to a trend or meme or whatever, as that part just stands out so much I feel like it's a different song. Idk it's very specific but the point is that I like just the original way of promoting music, with a mv or just posting it on social media. If a track has a catchy chorus or an iconic line is fine, but the tiktok way I was never a fan of. I liked even less the slowed + reverb or sped up thing. Was that just an ongoing trend or did people get copyrighted for playing sounds on the app? Like, I would never choose to listen to other than the original unless there's a really cool remix or sth. I of course get that tiktok will hurt music marketing and the people themselves and that's terrible. I'm just saying I wasn't much of a fan of their ways of promoting music yk. That's prob cause I grew up on the yt days and I also love music videos. I'm glad they're slowly making a comeback thks to people like Sabrina, TØP, Porter and so on
bro youre corny
Back to youtube and instagram lets go !
Yawn 🥱…. Social Media music is cheap, lackluster, and doesn’t last
Rip to all the could of been famous people who didn't make it in time lol
Calling Rebecca black a “bad charli XCX clone” is not it
this shi hard
no more effortless 2 min songs!!
I think reels would replace it easily since its already really established social media with a lot of funding and reels arent even bad
“Quaintly fans deserve a quality product.” 110% the realest thing I’ve heard during the 2020s
It’s going to be good for music, puts it back in the hands of people with real talent
Is TikTok automatically going to de-install if a user has it on their phone???
No it just won’t be updated anymore so you’ll still have it
TikTok is still going to be huge; just not in America. And with Trump coming in to impose tariffs and other countries looking to retaliate, it's only going to cause a world of hurt for America.
tik tok for music always felt like being at Starbucks to me. it was fine for a cup of coffee but if you wanted something a bit more niche like a matcha latte you were better off at an independent coffee shop.
Actually they just extended their ban for another 270 days… so there’s no demised
I’m actually happy about this now artists has to have talent not just because it blew up on TikTok just to be successful…to be honest it was ruining the music industry artists has to become an social media influencer just to sell is a shame
That’s not how it works wayne. The most talented won’t rise to the top because of their talent. Whoever has the best marketing budget is who will blow up. TikTok actually was a good thing for underground artists because of the discoverability. Now independent artist will have to work ten times as hard to rise to the top. Don’t let me get started on steaming companies.
new rap genre boutta drop
They just going to rednote
