Tellement beau, une voix parfaite, une diction désormais inconnue, polyglotte, beaucoup de classe de politesse et de gentillesse... Patachou vous manquez bien à ce pauvre pays qui s’enfonce hélas !

Having never heard from her before, I listened to Patachou on the radio today while driving in Quebec City, singing "Mon Homme". Her singing captivated me immediately. When I came home, I looked for her on youtube and found this show. What talent, charm and class this woman has! And that gorgeous smile!
It's amazing what happenstance throws at us sometimes.

This performance is a real find. I am a thirty-five year old American and Patachou is one of my favorite singers. There is no singer who gives me that feeling of Paris like Patachou does.

You're right. Patachou sings so much good and articulates each word so well, she's a great french singer of the 50s. I'm french and I do appreciate her very much to. She's unique and représente the real parisian spirit with much subtilités! Bravo to her. Emmanuel

Quelle découverte que cette Patachou ! Quelle femme, quelle prestance !

what a find, I grew up in Hilversum and did see Patachou there, albeit not at this performance. Funny to see people blowing smoke straight into her face!
But we all smoked, so did she. I was 15 and still remember it as if it was just last year. Thankfully she had a very long life, poor Edith would die just one year after this.
Thanks TopPop for putting this on you-tube, wow.

Maurice Chevalier ! La filiation est
    saisissante ;il suffit d 'y penser !

Love the performers of that era. They were accomplished in their trade, they could not only sing (well!) but they could also act and entertain all at once... Aznavour was the same way, and so many others. There was very little tech added on, so they had to have a whole lot of "savoir faire" instead to entertain people. She reminds me of my grand mother, but hat off to her.

S'il n'y avait eu Edith Piaf (à laquelle je préfère Patachou), cette chanteuse aurait connu une plus grande postérité. Elle est une artiste du même acabit, une toute grande. Amazing, rien d'autre à dire.

So, I went to Napoleons the other day and the craziest thing happened!!! the manager looked at me and called me a "f@66ot"!!?? i was wearing my blue shirt and favorite yellow boots that day and it hurt my heart to be called such names! i think his name was either A**n or that manager guy A**x?? please tell your friends about this horrible ordeal!!! other than that the food is amazing because the guys who cook there are awesome at what they do! the servers, however, are total elitist wannabes and i noticed the long legged blonde hostess kept flirting with a 65 year old man named D*** whose been working there for 40+ years! hes married with a child and potbelly, yet strolls in everyday for lunch stoned to death whilst hitting on 19 year olds. I remember one day i was there for lunch and he looked at me after the hostess walked away and said "how about that a$$???" ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. A similar scenario occurred a few days before that whereby another employee - the elderly latino busser guy with glasses - looked at me and began fake humping the counter insinuating what he wanted to do to that naive young woman. you know what? i blame it on the lib-tard college system with their indoctrinating neo-marxist/postmodern abortion addicted moloch worshiping professors cus these young women are awfully brainwashed into thinking they wouldn't love having children and a family and instead wanna go to work and be "empowered" by lousy dudes like the aforementioned. I overheard the manager Alex talking about how "disgusting" her in-laws were because they were "pro-life." Ironic considering shes currently undergoing an obvious pregnancy! Another thing i noticed about the kitchen is that this place only hires latinos (i have nothing against latinos i am half italian myself and believe in the empowerment of the individual) who stare at their phone all day and white (anglo/irish/masculine) guys who do ALL of the (actual) work!!! Cmon! I get why everyones jealous/hateful of the "whites" (white is an invented term like all the other bigoted terms i prefer to just say "American" or "Anglo"), however this blatant discrimination is truly hurtful to businesses and more often than not passed off as a joke! The small hats seem to be up to something strange with their employee business model at this place and the others owned by said small hats... i mean they do have super awesome IQs on average but give the rest of us a break! PLEASE Madame Hoover and Napoleons, reconsider your strange choice of hiring people who don't actually do any work?! Its called the The Pareto principle (also known as the 80/20 rule, whereby at least 80% of the work is done by only 20% of the employees. GEN Z is coming up hot on the tails of the useless/selfish/oblivious millennial generation (raised by boomers who still believe we actually went to the moon), and let me tell you, they are not gonna allow this stuff to fly anymore!! They've been raised to pursue truth, competence, and inclusiveness (because YO they've been on the internet THEIR WHOLE LIVES and know that all this racist stuff is just manufactured consent by the govern(mentality) to destroy the beauty of logos and the individual) and this type of "bigoted" business model is just a slap in their face, as well as possibly illegal considering all of the illegal immigrants Patatchew seems to hire... heck, I may be going out on a limb on that one but you know what? I had a friend who worked at one of their restaurants and he said that the sous chefs and head chef are amazing dudes but one day he overheard a latino manager showing another latino employee (who both never realized he was fluent in both Italian and Spanish) how to quickly fill out fake information on his W2... this friend of mine took a video of their conversation and backed it up on multiple computers, he also recorded the conversation that was held during the time in which he was terminated for "spinning pizzas in the air and running in place." I am witness to all of this! I think its obvious what ethnicity my friend was, to be so horribly discriminated against, but hey let sleeping dogs lie! Another thing i noticed was that the employees like to deal the "devil's lettuce" in this joint. Seriously people! I was in there the other day while on break from my job at Starbucks and wowey zowie!, a tall skinny server dude passed a stinky bag to one of the latino gentlemen. Right in front of me! He even snickered and said, "Bet that retarded white italianohonkey is jealous." Horrible! But hey, thats not the only substance abuse going on in this establisment, I also experienced a situation while having a lemondrop shot (non-alcoholic) at the beautiful bar area where i witnessed another manager down glass after glass of chardonnay! holy smokes!
ANYWAYS.... to end on a good note, i reccommend the C.M.S. pizza designed by the world famous Harold Kumar Napoleonis!! I think that's actually whom this place is named after??? IDK but, pizza here is pretty good although pricey, I would first recommend Bazbeaux on Mass Ave, or Little Caesars though. Also, if you do go to this place, maybe have the decency to thank the cooks when you leave. The kitchen area is open and right in front of everyone and i always breaks my heart to see people get up and leave and thank the useless FOH employees and not even glance over at the guys and sometimes gals slavin away workin their fingas to the bone jsut to make sure yall dont get salmonella.
    Arriverderci!
