    Only have been able to find Weller Special Reserve and Weller Full Proof. If I mix them, would that be a poorer Pappy? 😬

      Peasant Pappy! Nah sounds like you’d just ruin WFP. But what do I know, I can find gobs of WSR, but have never seen WFP.

      I might try it to see what happens. I may just have to age it in the barrel longer to make up the difference from SR and the 12 year. 🥃

    Which size barrel did you use and what temperature was it stored at? Did you rotate it or just let sit the 10 days?
    Thanks for the information can’t wait to try

    I see you are using a NCF OWA. Is that a must? Or can a screw top OWA work too?

    Sounds like this was a success so congrats on that. I was curious on what the barrel loss over the 10 days and if you immediately refilled would it have been less or the same

    • @minerstuff1028
      @minerstuff1028  Год назад

      There was a little bit of barrel loss as you can see from the bottle fill level. I was thinking for next time to put more in so with the loss we still get a 750 bottle in the end.

    I made a little sample for a friend but never had it. Random but you do you have links for the barrel and the PMP bottle w sticker?

    I don't have Weller 12, but I do have a Lot B. How about replacing W12 with Lot B 40% + WA107 60%?

    • @minerstuff1028
      @minerstuff1028  Год назад +1

      From what I have been told the Weller 12 and Lot B are basically the same thing with a different label.

    • @bentoh658
      @bentoh658 Год назад

      Yeah, thanks. After mixing Lot B with WA107, I think I liked the Lot B neat better than the mix.

    Why not mix the same ratios as just a blend and blind it against the one you aged? Let’s go boys!

    Weller 12 tastes nothing like 12 year Lot B. The Lot B is about 100 times better

      They’re called millilitres. It’s an obscure measuring system. You probably haven’t heard of it.
