It's crazy how Baylan became an instant classic, gaining admiration for all SW fan within minutes. That tells a lot about the quality of its character's writing, the excellent casting and then performance of Ray Stevenson. Quite a nice surprise. I wonder who will pick up the role.

Nah it’s all Ray’s excellent performance the writing literally avoided to give him anything besides vague platitudes about vague topics. You say that character writing is excellent well no no it’s fucking not we know just as much about Skoll at the end as we when first introduced to him in episode 1 I repeat in a show that’s longer than Original Trilogy all we know is he is a cool stoic guy who wants to do…. Something about the imbalance of force? He SOMEHOW knows whose Ashoka’s master was. For some reason thinks helping Thrawn will bring that balance but up on meeting Thrawn decides that’s not the way for some reason? The point stands we know fuck all
Baylan Skoll was def one of my fave characters. He felt strong, yet also he wasn't arrogant, and he knew his limits. He seemed to have almost always have a plan and wasn't afraid to face things head on. It breaks my heart that Ray died and never got to see the love of his character. I'm curious where they will go with him now. I also REALLY loved Shin Hati. I'm also curious where she will go now!
RIP a great movie Villain to ever be had the old acters these days are the best ones and now their all dying off we won't see their greatness but only in the movies they star in.

The Jedi need to die, the grey, the dark, the sentinels, all of them. Empress Rey vs Abeloth is a worthy first enemy. Shin Hati would serve her well. Power, beyond anything you've dreamed has two sides.
I hate to be a downer, but Star Wars is truly doomed if the best part of Ahsoka was Anakin from the prequels and a new character that passed away in real life.

It is a cruel irony that the best character to come out of this show is the one we will never truly get any more of.
RIP Ray, he was incredible as Baylan. Such an underrated actor. He is going to be missed.
