How I do inventory management: Do stuff in game -> get inventory messy -> quit the game and forget about it -> log back to said character -> realize you forgot to clean inventory -> cry in a corner
The "don't burn yourself up" advice really is the best one, gw2 is a mind blowing grinding game, but grinding isn't a bad thing, you just need to appreciate it the right way, wich is little by little progress each session of gameplay, otherwise you'll become a grumpy old man doing threads on reddit
my favourite extra key bindings that i remap to more useful spots: - autorun (just do it) - individual mounts (i do skimmer, raptor and warclaw in easy to reach spots) - about face (turns character, handy on mouse movement)
you've picked a good game for it to be your first mmorpg.. especially for your age. this game doesn't have any gear treadmill whatsoever so that's a big plus for those that haven't as much free time compared to our younger selves. I'm 28 yrs old so I y'know.. have a full-time job. Anet's design philosophy is really good and it's something i mostly like.
@@bilaliqbal4012 "especially for your age" ... OMG, 34 years, that's still really young ... when I started with GW2 in 2012 I was 54, at that time I was still playing on an office PC without a graphics card ... it was until 2021 that I finally got myself a powerful gaming PC when I was 61 and with this PC I got a completely new gaming experience, with GW2 and with games like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Grim Dawn, Elden Ring, Hogwarth`s Legacy, God of War etc., now I'm looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3
The one about rushing through each achievement or piece of content hits home for me. When I get it in my mind to get something done (like vision recently) I end up spending more gold than i should or playing parts of the game I don't like to just get it done. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to these types of collections. The worst part, for me, is after I get that thing done I almost feel a sense of being lost on what to do next because I just put a bunch of effort into something with no planning for what is next.

Really good tip about the alter character as a bank. I have tons of things that I am not currently using but spending space in all my characters, and bank. Now I am going just to buy a character spot to be a bank, is a cheaper way than increase the bank
I’ve owned the game for years. Hasn’t clicked with me until now. I’m enjoying it and as soon as the old DLC goes on sale again, I’ll get it all. I’m not a kid, so the horizontal progression works well with my limited gaming time.
There is so much to do, and everything gives you resources of some sort, so for the most part you can just do whatever you want and buy the resources for whatever you do not like doing. I love it.
About the key mapping, if you can afford, I strongly recommend a mouse for mmo, it increase your performance a ton, literrally is a really experience changer. I used during long time the logitech, but now I am using the razer naga.
When it comes to keybinds the biggest quality of life upgrade was when I bought my Razer Naga, it made everything easier not only in MMO-s, but other games aswell. After some time I managed to use all 12 side buttons with ease (0-9, space, enter).
I been helping a friend learn gw2 by playing with him while explaining everything. We got to lvl 40, finished the 2 story dungeons, and he's loving his Necromancer Staff/DD weapons.
I hate how the game takes meta-gaming using google as integral part of itself. Though the combo fields is like the only one thing it is actively trying to teach you about :D
Great guide! I also use Shift for Attunements/class skills, too. Using shift+other buttons has the added benefit of training you to stop mouse clicking your buttons. If you Shift + Mouse click things, it can end up linking the skill (ex. "Flying Cutter") in the chat window. Learned this the hard way back when I was new, I couldn't figure out why my abilities kept being linked in the chat window.
All good tips. The one I struggle the most with is keybinding. I haven't taken the plunge yet because I haven't come up with a keybind plan that I think will be strong across different classes. It would make my heart leap in ecstasy if I could create a keybind model per character instead of per account. Great video. Some feedback: 1. Keybinds - I tried binding to other keys on the keyboard and it helped but nothing came close to spending a little cash for a multibutton gaming mouse and a gaming keypad. HUGE improvement to WvW and Raid performance. 2. Combo fields..... learn the rotation and they happen.....usually/ sort of... I am not good. 3. The Wiki is amazing. I use the event timer, achievement guides, item knowledge, etc. 4. Burnout is real; it's a game, have fun. You eat an elephant one bite at a time. Looking at the skyscale or vision or other legendaries for the first time can be overwhelming. Set small goals and chip away at them.
@CaffeinatedDad True, but besides Mouse 1&2, I have special action, F, Push to talk, dodge and jump on mouse. All weapon, utility, F1-5, jump, dodge and W are on pad. No need to move hands.
I just realized something, you can wifi your resources to your bank, but you must go to a bank to retrieve stuff again, the logic in this game is terrifying lol
My problem with getting my friends to stay playing is they just dont want to watch youtube to learn to play within their first day to week of playing or they just say no Australian or oce server so they wont even play at all, even if i explain it realy doesnt matter for most of the game :c out of every mmo ive played its by far my favourite game, btw great videos being a league player and id say roughly arround the same age as you find your videos bery helpfull and reassuring 😊
thanks for info on vids watched a few and all been helpful and totally agree this game is not a quick one its take your time one i had all of gw1 + expansions for 5 years played and returned to gw2 and loving it but hit 80 and was then stumped your vids have helped me do stuff now thank you
Another note on keybinding - WASD is a trap. Seriously. Change your movement keys to ESDF - it keeps your hand on "home row", so your muscle memory from typing is still there, and gives you access to 3 (THREE!) additional hotkeys. Also, unbind "move backwards". It is also a trap.
i am one such psychopaths because i surrounded myself with them. I've been trying for years to break out of this need to be where my friends are because of the abandonment i feel when they rocket through content. Here's hoping your video was the nudge i needed to genuinely return to the comfortable pace I've always wanted to take, even if it was alone.
I found the first month GW2 opened the gates years ago- I found taking my time was the most important thing- ENJOY IT, you will never beat the game- they are always making MORE! LOL!!!!!! WOW, RIFT, and Elder Scrolls gamer as well- and GW2 is always waiting for my return!
Idk, i don't think it is always a bad thing if a game isn't completely intuitive. For me at least, it's what gives me a reason to start engaging with a community. I can watch vids, ask people wtf is happening in-game chat, stuff like that. Even when i have a bad time in a story instance fight, looking up a guide can be frustrating, but it also feels like, "I absolutely know someone else has had this problem too," and you get to read a walk-through many years old, from someone who thought future people were gonna need it lmao. Also thanks for mentioning the combo field thing, I hadn't noticed it even a little, so now I have a new thing to study. X3
What’s a good way to remember all the effect, all the finisher moves, all the things your character can do and in the right order? I find myself reverting to a basic button pusher in combat
the thing about combos is that they are really only important to two classes thief and ele others can gain small benefits but mainly eles and thief need it
You use the scroll for dodge? Wait, you guys use dodging instead of complaining about the crappy healer you got?! 😂😂😂 You guys have missed so much in your life! Dodging is for lamers! 😂😅 Its always better to just complain, thats how 95% of the players do the things ingame.
I solve my key biding issues by buying an MMO Mouse, those 12 keys on the side are awesome, I can use all my skills and also summon my mounts all with my tumb and the shift key lol.
It's the one thing I really hate... you shouldn't have to look at a wiki just to know you can safely delete something or not. It's shocks me all junk items aren't able to be sold for 1 copper. I can understand the need to have it around to sell more inventory space and pad out the drops.
Logitech G600 nuff said. I use caps for heal tab for elite and i move my wasd over to the right so i have access to a few more keys. I double bind some stuff to my mouse to test whats easier
GW2 is a marathon for sure, not a sprint. You can really see it in the way collections/legendaries/achievements work. As well as the daily log in rewards. GW2 can be played days on end, I did it when I rediscovered the game during covid. But taking time, doing a few things each day towards something is rewarding.
Do not. Skip. The Levelling. Getting to level 80 in GW2 is designed to be a tutorial for new players, introducing various features and concepts of the game, and various skills and traits of your selected class, one at a time, so that you can learn them in turn, and incorporate them into what you already know. Plus, there's a large jump in difficulty when going from the core game's maps, to ones added in the expansions, since the developers assumed that people who go there will have already mastered the basics of playing their class, so don't rush things and skip the levelling process. Just take your time and enjoy the game. Honestly, levelling up in GW2 is so easy, thet you will likely be over-levelled by the time you finish each map anyway.
Yea, leveling is easy. BUT it's the only game mode where you can adjust difficulty. When you seek challenge you just move towards higher level areas and sharpen your skills against mobs 5 or even 10 levels above you. On the contrary this way when you hit that max level the difficulty might actually go down and you cannot do anything baout it. I feel like SotO maps have zero content outside flying all over the place. Even the enemies from HoT that are about the biggest and toughest pricks feel weaker there. Cant say much about the other two expansions' mobs as I only own HoT and SotO. And LWS3 which I am currently half through and it feels easier that HoT. I would love to be able to adjust the difficulty of max level free world content the same way I can adjust it while leveling. Because while leveling you dont have acces to all the class mechanics and elite specs.
That you can only have like 20 items in your bank is so sad. I plaied tibia and had like 10's of thousands of items in my bank/depo. And a lot if them were really rare and good and all were useful.
Tip1: Get a MMO mouse or Razer Tartarus or Azeron Cyborg keypads which are awesome for PC gaming. Then you can live with default keymaps, but map them how they feel good on the keypad. This allows me to move between games and have similar abilities in the same places such as dodges and attack buttons or defensives etc.
I desperately want that skyscale mount but I’m also a “completionist”. Don’t think I’ll ever get it at this rate. Having too much fun getting distracted.
As much as i hate bying stuff for convience from shops.... I really love this game. And I want it to continue to exist. And even I spend 2000€ in the spam of 5-10 years on that game, what even is that money? not even 1 employee is padi for 1 month withh thhat money.... now add a lot more employee, some executives who earn more (that is just how it works) add server cost, add voice actor pays, add facility costs of a bulding where the employees are, including electricity, water, garbage etc etc etc. tbh i am amazed thhat this game still exists because not every players buys the expansions and you can generally play this game completly free to play and if you hardcore play it, you should have enough gold to convert to gems.
you can pretty much just start all the legendaries and you'll end up being able to do whatever you want and still make progress on at least one of your legendaries
"Take you time" he says ... tell that to the daily/weekly/special reward system. It frequently has tasks that require me to learn/do huge series of tasks to achieve that (suposidly ) one task set. ... the something something friend special task ... at first blush that sounds easy so you leave it for a while. It ACTUALLY contains about 5 different things that need completing, ALL of which are very time consuming AND require you to study online guides, if you intend to do it in the time set. 3 months sounds a lot, but you have everything else to tick off as well. You have time gated currencies tucked away in those tasks too. AND masteries. In order to complete this task, you HAVE to max out nearly ALL masteries in the SOTO expansion. AND to get the other specials, you have to max out the rest of them , except , maybe, literally ONE. All the while the daily and weekly tasks are DEMANDING that you progress, sometimes a LONG way though ALL of the other story lines. Yeah, I know, as an OCD completionist I have bought all the expansions AND living world chapters. Fortunately I choose PvP to go with PVE ... I not very good at PvP and yet it is a saving grace when it comes to completing dailies and weeklies. Except for PvP tounaments, that I still have not touched, you just hit things until you complete the tasks set. : ) ... Soooo STILL slaving away to complete the tasks for dailies and weeklies, and most especially the specials. ... AM I having fun, yeesss, sorta, but getting yelled at by family to play more than I should. That is not fun.
Exactly this. I gave up many of the special wizard vault tasks. I spent many hours on friday to finish weekly and at least one from soto I had nearly finished and one from halloween I had over half progress for. I wasted most of the day on it and felt exactly zero enjoyment doing it. It felt like being at work for the day. It's as if the game is trying to prevent me from playing it by forcing me to do a lot of crap I do not enjoy but I would be severely punished by zero income if I didnt do them. Moreover not being able to choose what kind of tasks I get daily/weekly is making it even worse. Like I dont want to get strike-missions or fractals objectives. I dont even know what that is and dont know how to complete these task other than closing the game and opening google and studying shit for a lot of time.
Highly recommend the razor naga 12 button mmo mouse. I have all my skill/utility buttons on the mouse plus my dodge is on MMB (mouse wheel button). My left hand never leaves my character mobility keys. It makes everything SO much more comfortable.
A guide for getting best performance out of gw would be nice, or a guide with links to other guides to explain problems that could affect performance that is outside the gw2 settings
I still have the issue of looking at my spells years later. Its partly due to the global cd's and having 300ms.. but I find I'm at a lack of keys. Might be time for a rebind session on the golem!
Finding comfortable keybindings is essential. Although, i take it a step farther and play with a ps5 controller through a custom steam controller congfig.
Alt = Alternate character (9:13). It would be nice to have a dedicated video on all the inside language that us beginners encounter #hinthint 😉 Thanks for the great video!
why isn't crafting material going directly into your crafting storage automatically? Why do I have to go in my inventory and press a button for that? Is there any benefit to it I don't quite see yet?
Yeah, I think all the daily limits are actually good - well, some for crafting stuff allows some things to greatly increase in value so people can profit if they want because other people can buy those things and skip ahead. But for all the content daily or weekly limits? Those are great to prevent burnout. Of course, when you want to rush something it is annoying, but you are not supposed to rush them. Prime example legendary armour in wvw or pvp, those are not supposed to be rushed, they are supposed to be a bonus if you play that mode a lot and enjoy it.
This is just me... but I use the Azeron gamepad. That makes it a bit less important what your keybindings are, as you aren't using the keyboard as much. Except maybe to type in chat. I got one of the original Azeron pads about 5 years ago, but they've evolved since then. And I use the thing every day. Takes a couple weeks before your muscle memory is locked in, but once it is, you'll never want to use anything else. This gives you a really smooth gameplay experience. Now, this thing is pricey, so it isn't for the faint of heart. But if you game every day, I'd consider getting it.
The inventory crisis on my account is horrible! QnQ Also was wondering if you tried the mocha of the mist cold brew cofee yet, if havent be cool to see a review of it from ya!
i just did what you said 😂, played 2 weeks non stop, got my account value from 700g to 8k gold, got my skyscale, alot of story, alot of meta's alot of world bosses, and today i opened gw2 not because i wanted but out of fear i will miss out.. as soon as i was about to leave i got a popup in wizards tower that public convergence started and i just couldnt push myself to do it or strikes and left the game :/
Here is a returning player: I bought the GW2 standard version (HoT, PoF, EoD) for 50€ maybe 1 week ago and have played the PoF and Season 4 of Living World so far. My thought when I started GW2 again was for the cool mounts that you've had since PoF and I was really looking forward to the griffin. When I then noticed that the griffin was hidden behind an in-game "playwall" I was very disappointed because as a returning player I only had around 30 gold. Now I'm trying to get the griffins by any means and so far I've gotten 90 gold by looting and selling my Bank. I am now very frustrated that there is no real active gold farming, because you're only limited to daily things to do. My suggestion would have been that the best way to unlock the griffin was like the Roller Beetle with a hidden questline and collections but not with gold. I also read a lot of comments here that people think it's good that there are daily limits. I see things a bit differently as I would like to be rewarded more if I invest more time in the game. It is also very difficult for new players (or just me idk lol) on e.g. to get gold if they don't already have their 30+ alts to get the gold. But I've also noticed that GW2 has a slightly older community, maybe I'm still too young and impatient, who knows.
@@FlowerBot Then you can definitely tell me what activity I can do to actively farm gold. I currently have plenty of time and play the game at least 8 hours a day (with breaks obviously). Happy for tips, my goal would be to get from 90 to 250 gold in 1 week.
@@Exalpheus Probably Drizzlewood Coast as part of the Icebrood Saga (Living World) or Silverwastes in the base game. WvW can be solid on a truly active server with the right guild too.
@@0sujinDont know about wvw I never made any money in there. But PvP feels like a being showered in gold for doing nothing but playing the game. Moreover pvp doesnt require you to spend any of the gold on anything to play it, maybe just unlock a rune once for 5g if your build needs one of the few locked ones but that is a one time purchase for whole account.
never heard of combos until now.... and man do they sound confusing. Is me not know about these or how to use these why im getting facerolled by everything since i hit the path of fire expansion zones??
Keybinds : Fair assessment, but for players that doesn't want to stick to only one class, or anyone that like to swap in and outs of different characters of different classes, be mindful that the keybinds are account wide, so when rebind the attunement swapping for your elementalist, your ranger's pet controls, guardian's virtues are all going to be set that way. Be mindful of how it is. To me, it nvr was an issue, default bindings works for me, and is universal. Also if needed, an MMO mouse with extra keys would also do wonders. But yes, be mindful of the rebinding. Combo field : Agreed Inv management: Agreed as well GW2 pacing: Totally agreed as well, no arguments here. Exactly the same thing I've always told people in game, its a marathon, not a race.
FWIW, I find 15-slot bags are the most cost-effective for mule alts. (I call mine "bankers", and they are all thieves. 😄) You can craft 4 15-slot bags for 2 gold. (Just talking Rune of Holding price.) 18-slot bags raise the price to 8 gold. I don't think paying 6 gold for 12 more slots is a good deal. YMMV.
I use a Razer Naga and use the Q, E, X, C and shift keys. My dodge is clicking the mouse wheel, target closest enemy is mouse wheel right and weapon swap is mouse wheel click left. It sounds strange but it's really smooth with a little practice.
@@CaffeinatedDad yea it's def evolved into what it is over the years, but hey it works for me. Having dodge on WASD double click always made jumping puzzles so frustrating, had to change it.
Re: Patience Since the game is horizontal and not vertical, you are not punished for taking your time. And, it's a game that should be enjoyed. It's not a 2nd (or 3rd, 4th) job.
hahhaha there's bunch a buttons, try wow, i feel 10 skills are like a good mid tho, with clases like the herald and other that have more layers for more exp players
Key binds. Funny that you mention that. I just started playing, and i move with the arrow-keys. I have my skills om DEL, END, PDown, etc... And in every game i play i fire my Gun, bow, staff, etc.. with .... The left mouse-button.. The... left.. mouse.. button.. Yeah... i guess you see my problem. Then, i needed a mount, so i bought POF.. and around level 25, my mount was gone... as i didn't have one anymore. VEEERY disappointing... If this is how arenanet treats its players.. i quit. Just stop playing. No amount of caffeine will remedy that. Besides, i have the fast gen, so it will do me no good no matter what. I was enjoying the game until that... too bad.
Areanet should have over hauled the default keybinds years ago it is the weakest part of Gw2 it just feels like shit even with good hotkeys the game still feels clunky honestly. Same with all the turreted siege weapons man do they ever feel like crap.
How I do inventory management: Do stuff in game -> get inventory messy -> quit the game and forget about it -> log back to said character -> realize you forgot to clean inventory -> cry in a corner
Start new character
I started a new account because of my old one was a fully filled mess (with account bound things you can't sell)

Keybinding will certainly make a major difference - If you're someone that took typing in school. If you didn't, it's kind of irrelevant.

I only recently even recapped about face especially because of the staff fire 4 for my elementalist! Excellent suggestions!

4. Burnout is real; it's a game, have fun. You eat an elephant one bite at a time. Looking at the skyscale or vision or other legendaries for the first time can be overwhelming. Set small goals and chip away at them.
These are all great additions! I have found less success with the multiple button mouse imo because of lack of skill buttons on any given build
Lmao central banking system
My problem with getting my friends to stay playing is they just dont want to watch youtube to learn to play within their first day to week of playing or they just say no Australian or oce server so they wont even play at all, even if i explain it realy doesnt matter for most of the game :c out of every mmo ive played its by far my favourite game, btw great videos being a league player and id say roughly arround the same age as you find your videos bery helpfull and reassuring 😊
thanks for info on vids watched a few and all been helpful and totally agree this game is not a quick one its take your time one i had all of gw1 + expansions for 5 years played and returned to gw2 and loving it but hit 80 and was then stumped your vids have helped me do stuff now thank you
This video is a MUST WATCH for all (new) GW2 players!
Great video. Keep it up 👍
Another note on keybinding - WASD is a trap. Seriously. Change your movement keys to ESDF - it keeps your hand on "home row", so your muscle memory from typing is still there, and gives you access to 3 (THREE!) additional hotkeys.
Also, unbind "move backwards". It is also a trap.
Hmm I'll have to give this a shot. My is currently wasd
Me who is also an elementalist:
Hippity hoppity your key binds are now my property
Looool
i am one such psychopaths because i surrounded myself with them. I've been trying for years to break out of this need to be where my friends are because of the abandonment i feel when they rocket through content.
Here's hoping your video was the nudge i needed to genuinely return to the comfortable pace I've always wanted to take, even if it was alone.
I've seen/heard these memes so many times, but they still crack me up unexpectedly 😂
I have to get some more memes for my database lol
God, so much bloodstone dust that I can't sell clogging up my inventory until I realized I can just destroy it.
What’s a good way to remember all the effect, all the finisher moves, all the things your character can do and in the right order?
I find myself reverting to a basic button pusher in combat
the thing about combos is that they are really only important to two classes thief and ele others can gain small benefits but mainly eles and thief need it
Mouse button 3 for dodge. Changed my life.
You use the scroll for dodge? Wait, you guys use dodging instead of complaining about the crappy healer you got?! 😂😂😂
You guys have missed so much in your life! Dodging is for lamers! 😂😅 Its always better to just complain, thats how 95% of the players do the things ingame.
@@huna7a I play daredevil. Dodge is part of the rotation 😉
@@bencochrane6112 no, its not, blaming the healer is! 😆😅😉 I also main daredevil, trust me, I know.
I solve my key biding issues by buying an MMO Mouse, those 12 keys on the side are awesome, I can use all my skills and also summon my mounts all with my tumb and the shift key lol.
This is what i have aswell
This allows me to move between games and have similar abilities in the same places such as dodges and attack buttons or defensives etc.
most of gw2 youtuber have the same mind to tell anyone that start on gw2 just have fun at the game and play whatever you like.
True, I don't think I'm unique in that aspect really. It's something to remember when playing the game I suppose
Inadvertently I worked on three legendaries at once recently. You have a valid point
Super helpful guide. I appreciate that you remind us not to plow through the grame.
Highly recommend the razor naga 12 button mmo mouse. I have all my skill/utility buttons on the mouse plus my dodge is on MMB (mouse wheel button). My left hand never leaves my character mobility keys. It makes everything SO much more comfortable.
That's what I think alot of players miss out on, make the game more comfortable!
@CaffeinatedDad yeah naga razer is amazing for this and other mmos, i have all my mounts mapped ez too
I heard "generate money" instead of might on blasting fire field, wish that was a thing
I can't imagine using a keyboard. I've used a game pad since EQ2 days. The razer TATARUS is shaped to your hand. Completely programmable keys.
You cant imagine using a keyboard?? Are you kidding or do you just want attention?
@glockdookie5231 I've used a game pad since early 2000's. I don't use a keyboard.. never have.
@@abscess7476 Nah youre incorrect
@glockdookie5231 you are a troll looking for attention. sad sad life. Don't message me again.
I really wish they'd implement the training event in EoD to earlier starting zones.
One big /salute to new players and Veterans as well from 10 year active player...

We are all here grinding away!
Alt = Alternate character (9:13).
It would be nice to have a dedicated video on all the inside language that us beginners encounter #hinthint 😉
Thanks for the great video!
Honestly I'd prolly use that as youtube short tbh!
I do 1-5, then shift+ 1-5 for the main ten skills
why isn't crafting material going directly into your crafting storage automatically? Why do I have to go in my inventory and press a button for that? Is there any benefit to it I don't quite see yet?
Caff Dad, about visions, are you prepared for the gold or requires? It’s like 500g +…. I wasn’t =\
I actually chipped away at it for quite a while! I have the components ready for Mondays stream! It did cost me about 300g though
I'm just over here skill clicking f1-4 and 6-0
Yeah, I think all the daily limits are actually good - well, some for crafting stuff allows some things to greatly increase in value so people can profit if they want because other people can buy those things and skip ahead.
Agreed! I actually like the game limiting me because I would lose control lol
What is the add on that makes all bags show in one panel like this?
QnQ
Also was wondering if you tried the mocha of the mist cold brew cofee yet, if havent be cool to see a review of it from ya!
I made a YT short on hoe you can make it better! Basically I subbed the water for fresh brewed coffee and it was significantly better
@@CaffeinatedDad oh shoot! i will check that out then thanks! :D

i just did what you said 😂, played 2 weeks non stop, got my account value from 700g to 8k gold, got my skyscale, alot of story, alot of meta's alot of world bosses, and today i opened gw2 not because i wanted but out of fear i will miss out.. as soon as i was about to leave i got a popup in wizards tower that public convergence started and i just couldnt push myself to do it or strikes and left the game :/
But I've also noticed that GW2 has a slightly older community, maybe I'm still too young and impatient, who knows.
ridiculous about limited gold, but if you want it from game-play you do have to play some ...
Took me 7 hours game time to get to 80, and now I am taking my time doing map completions, getting mastery points - I only have 13 LOL
gw2 is the press all the buttons , something bound to happened
never heard of combos until now.... and man do they sound confusing.
Combo field : Agreed
Inv management: Agreed as well
GW2 pacing: Totally agreed as well, no arguments here. Exactly the same thing I've always told people in game, its a marathon, not a race.
Yeah it is accountwide and it shouldnt be but still you want those pesky f5 or 6-0 buttons be similarly reachable on every character.
MMO Mice FTW!!!
They are surprisingly great! I didn't think I would like them as much as I do but they are fantastic!
Or u can buy a mouse with 1-12 buttons which is literally all I use for combat except for q,e,r,f,c for skills that hang above
Just get a 12 side button mmo mouse. This whole keybind wizardry is pointless when man has already engineered the perfect solution
I hate using the keyboard controls . Since using Steam I use a controller and it makes game play better
I gotta try it with a controller, I've heard it's fun!
Sup bro, tks so much
Yes I liked my own post
"I don't like clunkiness" from the dude who rebound WASD from movement lol
FWIW, I find 15-slot bags are the most cost-effective for mule alts. (I call mine "bankers", and they are all thieves. 😄) You can craft 4 15-slot bags for 2 gold. (Just talking Rune of Holding price.) 18-slot bags raise the price to 8 gold. I don't think paying 6 gold for 12 more slots is a good deal. YMMV.
Get to level 50 in the first day what about level 70 on the first day on a new charater what does that make me
Note:without xp boosters
That.... is impressive lol
But The Mask is one of the greatest movies of all time.
I use a Razer Naga and use the Q, E, X, C and shift keys. My dodge is clicking the mouse wheel, target closest enemy is mouse wheel right and weapon swap is mouse wheel click left. It sounds strange but it's really smooth with a little practice.
That's all that matters can you play with your set up? Good!
@@CaffeinatedDad yea it's def evolved into what it is over the years, but hey it works for me. Having dodge on WASD double click always made jumping puzzles so frustrating, had to change it.
Re: Patience
Since the game is horizontal and not vertical, you are not punished for taking your time. And, it's a game that should be enjoyed. It's not a 2nd (or 3rd, 4th) job.
keybinds - duh;
combos - hate 'em won't do;
inventory mgmt - duh;
wiki - ftw;
do not rush - ftw!
dude looks like an older version of donutoperator
hahhaha there's bunch a buttons, try wow, i feel 10 skills are like a good mid tho, with clases like the herald and other that have more layers for more exp players
As a new new player (one week in) all this stuff is so overwhelming. I heard GW2 was new player friendly, but in all honesty, it really is not.
I was enjoying the game until that... too bad.
Use mouse side button as ALT modifier. Forget this ZXCV stuff unless you have noddle long fingers.
Enjoy your videos except for the weird inserts. They are soooo unnecessary. Your content is good.
Areanet should have over hauled the default keybinds years ago it is the weakest part of Gw2 it just feels like shit even with good hotkeys the game still feels clunky honestly.
Same with all the turreted siege weapons man do they ever feel like crap.
When I see signet build im about to throw up. Around 50% of the other utilities the profession has are way too good to ignore.
Yeah but I'm bad though
