I once argued with some clown on twitter who was saying "TKZee was Tokollo, the rest were just riding along". This video proves there would have been no TKZee without Zwai Bala..
There wouldn't be TKZEE without all of them, the name says it all Tokollo Kabelo and Zwai so trying to compare them won't work, they all complimented eachother.
@@Seedandcap You're correct. My comment is in relation to the comments I've seen on social media that seemed to suggest Tokollo was TKzee. I mentioned Zwai because a lot of people don't know he was the man behind the sound. Everyone knows about Magesh and Kabelo and what they brought to the group
To say Tokollo was tkzee, I wouldn't agree but in terms of lyrics, samples and ideas he was the main man even Kabelo Mabalane said it on podcast and chill go back and watch nigga was genius we cannot take tha away from him
They put 1000 hours into this! The reason why it sounds like nothing else but theirs! Its crazy how the maker of Liberian girl, sweetest taboo, and of course Dlala mapatsula were feeling that time. This was biology working at its best.
These guys were way ahead of time. At that age and the sounded so mature. It is so beautiful to watch now. After some time, people will learn who did it best, even with amaPiano it will happen. These guys were privilege to go to St Stithians then. They had to succeed in any way or form!
Halloween came out in 98. I was 18 then. I resonate with everything, every song played in this video I know and sing verbatim. Ohhh my gosh how time flies. I remember everything like it was yesterday. I remember TKZEE performance in 5 Roses Central Western Jabavu... Rest in Peace Magesh.
That 'hmmm!' and the face from kagiso @ 14:38 😢😅 Yhooo how is that lady composed when that bass line hit so deep. I would've lost it right there 😂😂😂 Best group ever to come out of Mzantsi.
Sad that Halloween was their only album proper, at their peak... Guz 2000 was a group and by trinity they wer kinda parting already... Home coming was too late..
A like for me every time magesh says "you know"😂😂
RIP to one of the Goats🙏🏾

@@SeedandcapI also thought Big Nuz was Mampincha😂
Zwai played a huge role in directing
I never knew Magesh was so talkative 😂😂. R.I.P to the legend, gone too soon.
That’s why always said something changed after his car accident his energetic presence wasn’t there anymore. 💔 RIP to the GOAT
eish that accident changed everything for magesh 😢
Zwai Bala is on of the greatest music producers and director to ever emerge, I think he's underrated and never showcased as onevof the GOAT

I'd love to have seen Guffy in the Stu.
Phalafala is the best TKZee song of all time.
That’s a very nostalgic song 🎶 😊
Dlala Ma'pantsula for me . listening to it even now makes me realize how musical and different these guys were back in the days.

Very well-educated musicians, that's why you guys were making fire music together ❤️

5 Roses is in Mofolo not CWJ
1998 these guys were in their early 20s but they had already mastered their sound and knew exactly what they wnated to do
Yeah after Phalafala the stage was set
This is gold
When TOKOLLO heard that MAGESH beat coming on while busy talking and gave GWAYZA the look 👀 and the both started moving their heads.

Eish ibraz had this thing on lock, I wonder what went wrong because they could have gone beyond what they had already achieved
Thola tsa mo besa nama 😂😂😂😂
The songs sound so slow now that we have gone through Durban Kwaito and Amapiano🤣. Classic though.
calling a chillas/pholas a picnic is crazy 🤣
wheres's part 1?
Why did Magesh and Sbu leave Mashamplani? Just wondering what MDU Masilela might have done to drive them out!
Watch Sbu Maloya’s interview on the David Mashabela podcast to get the full story
Sad that Halloween was their only album proper, at their peak... Guz 2000 was a group and by trinity they wer kinda parting already... Home coming was too late..
Their English was so on point. They definitely went to multi-racial schools right?🤣🤣🤣
Lol kwako cheese boy laba
Mahipi klaar
Young Sarah Wilson Dorothy Johnson Daniel
Another one 😊dj khaled copied the Magesh "Another One"
You can tell when a Kwaito artist went to a multi-racial school.🫡
Hahahaha 😂😂😂 tkzee it was cheese boys who are street smart
I am also surprised how they were speaking such fluent english😂😂😂😂
Yeah TKZee were the fly cats from the hood. 😅 Got the English and the hood slang on lock . I think that was the the beauty of their sound
