I really wish Shattered Ring gave you a way to repair the Irreparable Damage. Its such an unnecessary eyesore. Hell, I'd be fine even if it costed a lot more than repairing a normal damaged ringworld segment.
Personally I just prefer planet cracking my homeworld and building a Ringworld there from scratch.
Huh maybe it's a mod of mine but after I fix up the ring I get a decision to remove the interloper and fix that segment

Hardware isn't the issue, the game engine is the limiting factor.
Finally, thank you. I've been trying to find good builds for my Trader Mercantile Guilds Empire. I've always enjoyed playing Megacorps and basically being a bank for my allies.
Glad you enjoyed! Though this build is mainly for fun, not fully optimised wrt civics for example
@@MontuPlays Yeah, I don't do a lot of PVP in this game, I'm usually doing runs with friends against strong AI and high crisis strength, so I always try to do a build that helps my allies with making tons of resources for fleets and buffing the federation fleet. Many of my friends say I'm the Sugar Daddy of the Galaxy when I play this empire. I went with Free Traders and Brand Loyalty for my Civics. I used to do Voidborne but a friend said they nerfed habitats in the game. I'll have to try Shattered Ring next time I play with them.
I have totally mentioned this build to you in the past! But Montu did a version of it well.

Trade rings are the best trading planetary option in the history of trading planetary options
Repairing a trade ring is interesting. If you run nothing but trade districts/segments you'll have 50 traders, 25 artisans on the shattered ring segment and 40 traders, 60 clerks on the repaired ring segment. Very different loadouts and kind of strange that there's actually less traders on the repaired segment.
I hve tested the Shattered Ring origin with trade builds a few times and found that not repairing the ring is superiour if you wish to keep it as a trade planet. Only upgrade to ring proper if you wnt the other districts more
I'm so glad to see you playing on 1x tech cost Montu. The game goes a little slower, but it feels better for roleplay or something. Also with a little vassal contact wrangling, you can get unfathomable amounts of science

I just started playing Stellaris and I barley understand anything you did, but I am here for it.
Can we get more of these rp empires? I love stellaris timelines but these types of videos are a genuine delight. Please make more of these.

with virtual ascension my trade planet was generating 16 k+ commercial value on its own. Make trade great again, with robots. :) (size 24, +2 from ascension perk + 4 from orbital ring with orbital market and orbital stock exchange / all made of urban district eucumenopolis, and only the best possible commercial buildings of the extension)
Question: how do I unlock more building slots on corporate offices? You only get one at first...

Montu, can you explain how "commercial pact efficieny" bonuses work? During playthrough i always try to form commercial pacts with states, which have equal or stronger economy comparing with mine, but i don't see any differences in numbers when completing agenda and etc etc. Am i just doing smth wrong?
A commercial pact gives you 10% of the other party's trade value, pact efficiency increases that, so +20% should give you a total of 12% value. It's a very minor bonus

As I mentioned to e3p0, you don't need to play games with staircases for the sectors. Just use the edit sectors function.

How do you get so much resources? Is this all from vassals? On 20:33 there is clearly shown the amount produced by planets and research points for example not even close to 3k

I mean, my aquatic, ocean paradise megacorp was making BANK for the entire game. Literally never went into the red for energy credits, and was able to throw money at all my resource problems, just like uh... certain potential real life organizations that definitely do not actually exist, no sir!

Is cyber best for trade? At this point i think that psionic is better, it gives more % resources and one of the lords has alot of trade bonuses
Cybernetic is the only ascension, that allows you to pick two traits for trade value. So yeah, for trade build it is the best.
Trade is not impacted by resources from jobs.
Can someone tell me what trade is good for? Does it create energy credits or something else?
It creates energy credits by default, there are 2 unlockable options to half the credit output in exchange for unity or consumer goods as well, and i think trade feds have both options combined.
